oddly enough over the past like 7+ years ive been more active watching this house / sweeping content... vs. skate content. don't get me wrong i love the skate content but i like this.
This new style of Garrett's videos has such "pewdiepie moving to japan, becoming content and just doing whatever he wants, discover new passions and doesn't try to feed the algorithm monster" vibes to it, and I love it. You actually enjoying what you do shines through and that's why people are somehow hyped about watching you sweep, rake and dig holes for hours on end lol
Get a tractor or a side by side and get a tow behind rake. Will save you a bunch of time every fall when you need to rake. I’d recommend a tractor as the have a bucket for any small excavation needs and have mower/tillers/rake attachments, pretty much every task you’ll have around the property. Why you see a tractor at every house with over an acre. Gotta make some big boy purchases since you got a homestead now. But enjoying the home content, happy for you and Taylor and your new journey with the homestead.
Bro. Now that Taylor lives there imagine the angles we can get on all the sweeping and raking content. Stoked for everything going on and the future projects, homie Lookatdatviewtho!!
Thay poor lawn mower blade! 😂😂 love the content brother! Keep it up! It's fun to "renovate" or landscape your new house! I just bought a home here in texas a year ago and completely redid the yard and landscape and LOVED IT! keep it up brother! Proud of you!
My girl does a lot of gardening and she’s scared of stuff in her gloves. She recommends to just ust store them in a ziploc bag. No more stomping. Cheers!
Idea for your upper dirt section: a long term project of building steps just to the left of the rock landscape that lead up to that area, bonus points if it’s long enough to where steps aren’t needed and it could just be a sloped trail so pushing a mower, maybe hauling chairs, the bbq pit, whatever, is easier to get up there. This is the fun part of home ownership where you get to dream how you can make your life better there, can’t wait to see this evolve over time!
Thank you!! And there actually are “stairs” over there, but they’re pretty old and falling apart hahaha. Really just some slanted stepping stones that need some work, but definitely worth reviving!
@@GarrettGinnermost definitely! Add that to your ever-growing list 😅 love the progress on the house, and isn’t raking just sweeping the earth?! #sweepingcontent
I appreciate the diversification of your content from sweeping into raking. Maybe once you start working on the inside of the house more you can branch out further into some mopping content
i love seeing your growth in life. I've been here since the beginning and this is by far one of the best "success" stories. keep it up Garrett, much love bro
I gotta say I'm really enjoying watching this whole process. It's looking fantastic and the upper terrace is a dream spot. Now I'm keen to see how the trees look in a few years.
Get a riding mower and a yard sweeper to tow behind to pick up the needles... It will pick up a lot of smaller/medium sticks too. You can blow the stuff of the steep parts onto the driveway and just sweep it up. Pretty much a must to have on a property that size. Your mower is kind of a joke lol. Nice for a little yard but you have acreage. A little lawn tractor makes tons of jobs easier.
Brother, you need to get yourself a riding mower or use someone’s riding mower and there is an attachment you get it is like a huge metal rake that the lawnmower pulls behind you will help you out to the max. Just looking out for ya homie 🙌
i don’t really comment much, but i remember watching your older videos, and seeing this is so dope, i’m happy for you and taylor, and these videos make me happy and i genuinely look forward to watching them! much love bro🙏
I came to this video to let you know the sweeping content has been great but I expect more raking content as well and was pleasantly surprised to see that you were 1 step ahead and already getting those juicy raking clips. lol Loving the content lately, it's all great stuff. And yes Taylor we like you, welcome back!
Only thing I can think of doing with the pine needles is boxing them up and selling them as mulch. Also my dad uses a leaf blower to collect them instead of a rake.
love this content so much ! so invested in the new house / renovations / yard work / backyard skate park . . . glad im along for the journey brother . keep smashing these killer videos
I'm loving the new content man, but I'm loving the positive mindset you seem to be in. It seems like that fire is lit in you again. Happy you found a place that's making you happy bro. ✌🏻 stoked to see you happy G. Keep it up🤙
As someone with allergies who lives in the trees I recommend looking at the pollen warnings on weather websites before doing yardwork 😉 also it's awesome how happy and at ease you seem , just keep listening to your gut instincts and follow the paths accordingly!! Keep killing it Garrett 🤙👊
I'd get a bunch of blueberry or huckleberry plants. They thrive in acidic soil, which is what you have with all those pine trees. They are very easy to maintain, provide privacy in the summer, and they provide fruit.
The trees that you didn't know what they were look like Magnolia trees. Some sort of Magnolia Soulangeana. They flower in spring before they have any leaves on them, they're pretty for a few weeks and then they're just small trees the rest of the year until they go dormant.
I’m not sure if you’ll see this but keep up with the running! I never thought I’d be the running type but training for challenging races with friends and accomplishing them has been one of the highlights of my life. Keep up with it! And remember, 80% of your runs should be easy so slow it down if you have to!
Elaeagnus is one of my favorite shrubs. They do make a large hedge and they look much better if you don't try to prune them down. If you like that grass and want more that are similar, (what you have looks like Lomandra 'Breeze'), there is a 'Platinum Beauty' which is one of my favorite grasses. Careful of the thorns on the Berberis. I don't know if the Leucodendron will survive the winter where you're at if it snows, they're native to South Africa. The citrus might also need protection from the snow.
Love the new content, feels like growing up together in a way, content feels more mature (not to age out any of your viewers) and more purposeful. Please keep it up! Also feel like a ride on mower would be a great investment for your property, especially if it can pull a small trailer around so you don’t have to carry everything haha. Keep it up though mane!
Do yourself a favour and invest in a backpack blower. For most regular home owners I'd say it's overkill but with the amount of land you have that is just woodland needing cleared I'd say a backpack blower is gonna be an incredible investment for you.
As a person who got chastised for not tarping the plants because they can get wind burn on transport. Update on the plants I can't wait . I would also get a plant care app . You can scan the plant and get feedback about plant care . When I look up the peach tree it says the foliage and stems are poisonous? Stay safe out there !
Now you've got a hammock it's time for a classic swing right? Love this content keep it up, it's so visible you're happy at your new house and were here for it man.
Get hammock straps, they’re cheap and you can put it wherever you want and adjust heights, the tighter you can pull the hammock the better so you can lay flat
ive been loving the building/fixing or planting content so much lately! would be so sick if u would build like a concrete bowl for skating daym thgat would be so sick ans so nice content ! :D
oddly enough over the past like 7+ years ive been more active watching this house / sweeping content... vs. skate content. don't get me wrong i love the skate content but i like this.
This is awesome, I appreciate comments like this. I really do think it’s because the content is genuine and I think *hope* that it shows.
S@@GarrettGinnersaid it before, people like you for you, not specifically for the skating
Bro I’m going be honest we need the sweeping content
not to discredit the running and 'bettering-one-self-content'... keep killin' it.
pretty much same
Yes 43 minute video!! Absolutely loving the content!
Thank you!! Glad you’ve been enjoying it ❤️
We growing up with you, this new type of content is helpful in my life right now. New home, new healthy habits, new homeowner obstacles. Thanks G ✊🏽
I love Garrett’s videos because it feels like I’m watching my best friend live his best life and it’s great to just be part of the ride

I love you just showing your authentic self, and just going around having fun.
We love Taylor! And Garrett
Pretty cool hearing your name coming up more and more on the nine club. The content is for everyone and it’s great.
Nice puppy

Your gratitude is encouraging! We’re all happy for you 👏💪

GARRET, get a blower for all the pines. Blow it out.
I appreciate the diversification of your content from sweeping into raking. Maybe once you start working on the inside of the house more you can branch out further into some mopping content
I think you’re onto something there
I imagine some type of riding lawnmower with like a lawn sweeper attachment would make this easier.
Honestly loving the new content. seeing the property change over time is awesome.
i love seeing your growth in life. I've been here since the beginning and this is by far one of the best "success" stories. keep it up Garrett, much love bro

I literally love the long for content everyday after work I go and check if you uploaded hoping it’s at least 20 minutes long
Love seeing you enjoy plants and the different types !
You need to change the mower blade after that😂
Brother, you need to get yourself a riding mower or use someone’s riding mower and there is an attachment you get it is like a huge metal rake that the lawnmower pulls behind you will help you out to the max. Just looking out for ya homie 🙌

I'm loving the new content man, but I'm loving the positive mindset you seem to be in. It seems like that fire is lit in you again. Happy you found a place that's making you happy bro. ✌🏻 stoked to see you happy G. Keep it up🤙
38:40 - one of my favorite moments on this channel.

Welcome back!! Appreciate you watching!
we like the first self cam angle. back feeb was clean
Wanna see you strap a GoPro to the rake next time. Thats gonna take your sweeping content to a whole new level !
For raking the pine needles I would recommend building your main pile on a tarp or something for ease of movement afterwards
That makes so much sense hahahahaha I definitely should have done that
Keep up the daily uploads loving the content everywhere’s been watching you since I was around 15 I’m 22 now and still watch every video never change!
Love it when you skate man
Make sure you deep soak those trees once a week in summer. The drip line won't be enough.
Another banger of a homestead video!
Love the new content, feels like growing up together in a way, content feels more mature (not to age out any of your viewers) and more purposeful. Please keep it up! You should build a lil rope swing to go alongside the new hammock addition!
Raking content for life. that sweeping content got some competition now LOL
Get hammock straps, they’re cheap and you can put it wherever you want and adjust heights, the tighter you can pull the hammock the better so you can lay flat
