I went to see Linkin Park, who were co-headlining with MCR. After MCR performed, I felt terrible for Linkin Park because they had to follow one of the greatest live performances I had ever seen in person. I instantly became a fan.
I've been an MCR fan for over a decade and heard this song literally HUNDREDS of times, possibly over 1,000. And I STILL get chills every time it gets to that final chorus. That's the mark of a timeless song.
"The Patient" dies and death comes for him in the form of a parade. This is based on singer Gerard Way's notion of death appearing to a person in the form of their fondest memory, in this case seeing a marching band as a child.
I count MCR among the best rock bands of our generation, and this song/album is their magnum opus. I bet that any emo could tell what song this is, by that first note alone!
The whole 'Welcome to the Black Parade' album is actually a rock opera telling a story throughout the album. The strory of 'The Patient' (seen in this video) of his battle with cancer and then his death then what happens afterwards. Would be interesting to see more from the album. It definitely defined a generation definitely worthy of some analysis. Keep up great work
Don't know if anyone mentioned, but MCR was actually an influence on Tyler Joseph from ToP. 😊 MCR is my favourite band of all time, atleast since 2006,and I'm 53 soon. So I've heard a lot of noice😂. Hugs from Sweden.
One of the saddest things about MCR to me is how this drummer and the rest of the band had a falling out. The fanbase tends to be pretty hostile to him nowadays, and he has even opened up about how tough it is to get the constant backlash. Regardless of how you fans feel about Bob Bryar, it's been long enough, leave the dude alone. He is a badass drummer and MCR wouldn't be the band it is without the years his talent was a part of the band.
This song's titular album, The Black Parade, is probably the most well produced album I ever heard. Would love to see you guys react to tracks like 'Sleep' and 'Mama'. These two don't have videos (though there is a DVD with the whole album being performed officially uploaded on MCR's channel), but the lyrics make it worthy.
hip hop and metal are my two favourite genres, I love any emo, pop punk, etc. styles of music as well I'm glad you checked this out, 30 seconds to mars - the kill(bury me) is another great one along this style of music roughly, it's Jared Letos band. 😄
I’ve had 3000 different beers and have toured with many bands, including this one… and I love idea of good beers and bands. If you want a real challenge, get a Pliny the elder an listen to “the silence” by Manchester Orchestra
I've had this song in my Spotify playlist for a few years but had also never seen the video until now. Another song which hits different when you watch the video is The Cranberries - Zombie (no, this isn't a reaction request, unless you want to 😂). Always liked the song but a whole different appreciation for the lyrics when it's matched with the video
TBH it's my first visit to your channel, nice reaction and a great Stank Face from the gentleman to the right of screen. Between that and the air-guitar it was obvious you were into it....😄🎸
Yo, guys (i'm still waiting for 150k subs). I'd really like to suggest something from DNB but there's too much of Dj's, track, it's hard to chose something. So today's proposal is rap on beats mix of dnb, grime, dubstep... first you can check: Virus Syndicate x Dope D.O.D. x Franky Nuts x Harry Shotta x OneDa - SPLAT them you need to know Dope D.O.D. Your wife probably knows about them already, but she'll most likely like... *Busted* *McFly* and *McBusted* (consisting of all members of *Busted* and *McFly* except Busted's lead singer *Charlie Simpson* who won *The Masked Singer* in 2023)
Scheduler here, I do know McFly! Lived in London for a while and there was a newspaper that gave our their CD for free, I still have it! Didn't keep up with them though over the years/didn't know they merged
Not sure if anyone else has mentioned it, but this Music Video won an award:
MTVs ‘Music Video of the Century’, yeah, CENTURY
To be fair, the century was about 6 years old when that happened lol

100%, MCR live 2007 is fn crazy, especially the live drum. its insane
Man that'd be an insane show..
Which is tough because Linkin Park is an extremely powerful band as well. It is best to love each band for their individual performances.
never felt bad for likin park they always kick ass anyway lol
Ayyy me too! That was such a great show, even in the 110 degree heat and the poor air quality that day. I'll never forget it.

This is their "Bohemian Rhapsody"
In a previous video you asked who influenced 21 pilots. This is one of those bands.
“The Kill” from 30 seconds to mars would be a good one to watch/listen to.
or "From Yesterday"

Best song of the generation
I will always love MCR. I've been fan of them since 2007. You guys just listened to the international emo anthem.
Does Scheduler know that Twenty One Pilots did a cover of MCR's Cancer? Did a great job... the video is on RUclips!
👀
She does now!! 😁🍻

I know I'm late to the 'Parade but I'd ask The Manager to checkout The Darkness from the UK 😊
Hell yes. The Darkness are underrated gold. Super fun videos, too.

If you want to do some more rock songs, i actually found mgk's ticket to my downfall album to be a great throwback sound.

Check out Pink Floyd! I’m sure you’re aware of them but “Money” is a great way to begin down the rabbit hole.
this, and The Light behind your eyes, are some of the best MCR songs. But honestly they have a lot of great hits so idk what im even saying lol
🍻 with Skol Lager. Great pick❤😊
This gives big Cypress Hill vibes
The G note heard around the world!
Where is the best place to recommend some banging uk stuff to you? 👍
