I’ve stopped collecting since 2023. Maybe in the future, after college, I’ll start collecting again, but it’s sad of the state Monsterarts did with the GxK figures. I wasn’t already planning on buying these since I already have Godzilla (2019) and Kong (2021).
You might wanna buy the hiya figures when you start collecting again.

Thank you for making this video. I'm tired of people glazing over the fact that these figures are genuinely awful. ALL of the SHMA GXK figures are misses. Especially when you compare to hiya. Genuinely, how do people look at both and say "nah SH wins💀" ??? How??? These figures are awful and expensive. If you look at factual proof, Hiya is a better alternative as an articulated Godzilla toy. But people refuse to accept that. You can like what you like, buy what you buy, but know, that what you are buying is literal overpriced garbage lol.
I don’t see how they are awful. I got the 2024 Kong a week ago and man… I have not had this much fun with a figure in months. I literally spend more time looking at and admiring it than anything else in my collection.
Do you live in the west by any chance? If you do, then I can understand your complaints about these figures being expensive. I’ve heard multiple people and other RUclipsrs saying that apparently the west has to pay more for S.H Monsterarts figures than Asians such as Japanese people.
Since I am a Singaporean, I most likely got my S.H 2024 Kong at a much cheaper price compared to collectors who live in the west. For your info, I got my S.H 2024 Kong at $100 SGD at a shop named “La Tendo”. However if I were to buy an S.H Monsterarts 2024 Kong or Godzilla from a Toys R Us in Singapore, I would have to pay $130 SGD, which I did not have an extra $30 at the time so I decided to buy from La Tendo instead, whose Kong costs $30 less. And that’s how I got my first S.H Monsterarts figure. But for a Godzilla figure, I would definitely get one from Hiya
@@AtrociCollector that's understandable. Yeah a lot of us SHMA consumers tend to be in the west, and with our current economic state, dropping so much money on a figure with sub-par quality doesn't necessarily make us happy to say the least. Also, how many times have joints popped off on Kong?
@@linkimusprimeproductions7890 so far, I’m really lucky that none of the joints on my Kong figure has popped off. And I do understand how you feel regarding the prices. As an Asian who collects majority of Mattel’s Jurassic Park/World figures, which are produced in and by a western company, I’m not that happy either with the prices that I have to pay.

Bandai/tamashi nations is a very greedy company now they don’t listen to the Godzilla fans feedback, quality control is even more worse than before they don’t improve their kaiju figures for years since tamashi did very well with their Godzilla classics line until their first downfall with Godzilla 2014 that turned out to be a disaster with how it ended up and also they making their Godzilla evolved, skar king and shimo all three of them a Bandai premium web exclusive and add another $20-30 dollars to them. It’s very disappointing I started collecting shma in 2020 my first was burning Godzilla 2019 and it’s amazing but the quality of it just sucks the end of the tail fell off. I am glad I started collecting the neca Godzilla line before it was discontinued now Bandai is rising prices for the new ones which is very stupid of them and making them unaffordable for us to get now I am skipping the skar king ans shimo from shma

Sweet video smz. I have some thoughts on these two but i did buy the Kong. I like the matte paint but i am considering getting 3d printed heads for him. I had to fix the eyes on Kong (which i shouldn't have to do) and im pretty satisfied with it. Im only interested in godzilla evolved which im considering preordering. We should expect more from the line for the prices we pay. Its strange because the toho figures are mostly really good but the mv figures are lacking in comparison. Another good video and i appreciate the frequent uploads. Keep it up man!

As a long time collector of SHMA figure (only the ones that I like to get), I’m very disappointed with SHMA and these new releases for the GxK line because I see no effort or worth in buying these repaint figures (if you didn’t buy the original version from 2021) even Skar king has issues and don’t get me started with that god awful Shimo figure. The whole GxK line from SHMA represents the issues and problems of the SHMA line as a whole with Tamashii and Bandai being the ones to blame for their greed and scummy practices.
I really want the SHMA line to change for the better and be good again like the early days of the SHMA line, but now it became a husky of a shell of itself with its strings being puppet by the greed of Tamashii and Bandai’s Hubers.
You’re not the only one. I want to see Bandai get better as well.

Ultrazilla and Diego Doom (Probably): Yes, it's good. Definitely worth it. Ignore the flaws, just buy it. Ignore the shady practices Bandai is doing and Buy it. What's that? They revealed a horrible looking Shimo? Buy it.
I feel like the difference between the two and the other people who do figure reviews is that both ultrazilla and Diego Doom have valid criticisms, whereas everyone constantly complains about the figures.

@@quack9355 No they haven't. What is constantly complaining about a multi-million dollar figure having issues with their toys going to solve? Nothing. Because ever since the 2024 Godzilla and Kong came out it's been constant complaining left and right. Besides, they're not really genuine. If they're going to keep saying it's terrible it's garbage or this. At the end of the day it's their choice to buy the figures or not.

There's a reason why GxK is were it reached the boiling point. And that's because a new game came in town and did things better while also shedding light on how Bandai is lazy for a well demanded product.
If they can make Gamera Rebirth with its magnificent quality, then why TF did Minus 1 and GxK figures still happen? Same problem, different tittle.

Tamashi nations/bandai are using the exact same Godzilla mold from 2020 wish is burning Godzilla 2019 that explains the melted face and reusing Godzilla 2014s spitfires beam too and they really decided to use the Godzilla ps4 game Godzilla 2014 design from concept art photos online and I don’t know why they did that instead of using the actual Godzilla 2014 design from the 2014 film

I’m sorry I’m pretty late, I know super MarioZilla is not gonna answer my comment but I’m gonna comment anyway because this video is truly a heartbreaking sight for SHMA and all of the fans including myself, Bandai/Tamashii just keeps treating us like Sh*t and they didn’t even bother or try to compete with Hiya toys, and to the people that said SHMA GxK aren’t bad, then y’all are stupider then your walnut brain, SHMA really needs to be shut down, oh wait that’s not gonna happen because they won’t listen to our feedbacks and they just mute all of us like we never existed to them, which is the most disrespectful and ungrateful part that Bandai/Tamshii is doing to us. SHMA shimo and Skar king look 10 times worse, Why is Bandai/Tamashii still making these monster-verse figures when Hiya toys a new Godzilla figure maker is doing a way better job, Bandai/Tamashii should be banned and removed the license from Legendary, this line needs to shut down seriously, we are completely done for good with this line more so then life, is extremely angry and depressed that the completionist don’t want buy this garbage but they end up have to in order to be completionist. My suggestion is to quit be completionist and throw away or sell the figures that we hate it, because this line only making us more suffering, I completely doubt the SHMA Godzilla evolved final product is gonna end up any better, im telling you guys is going to end up like trash trust me, Always Listen to toy reviews before you buy it, Please don’t buy SHMA Monsterverse at ALL! Upset how the shma Monsterverse line is getting a lot of bad figures while the Japanese ones don’t. I’ve still got my 2021 Godzilla and even then it looks way better even the bootleg versions as well as the 4 Godzilla 2019 releases are all worthy Godzilla 2024 looks ok tho one of the main problems is the head due to sculpt degradation but the Burning Godzilla mold didn’t have that problem even after being used multiple times got even more upset after seeing the promo pics for Shimo i’d rather get the hiya and playmates ones they’re much worth it

Honestly I only got this Godzilla for the beam effect because I don’t feel like spending 200+ dollars on the spitfire Godzilla that came out long ago. The figure itself I gave it to a little cousin lol.
The reason I hate my 2021 is because I had to glue that tail because any movement or anything of it pushing the ground it came off
To be honest, I do like the Kong 2024 but the Godzilla pre evolved figure is just awful. It looks more like a bootleg then an official figure.

These figures are completely terrible and after I get G19 poster version and skar king (only reasons I’m getting that figure is just to get a better figure then the playmates version and to get the beast glove) I’m not gonna get anymore SHMA monsterverse figures because it’s just going downhill. Any SHMA figures I’m getting is just the old SHMA and possibly new toho ones but if there good. Bandai needs to listen because there is now actually some competition

The teeth aren’t even that bad, and he is really hating on the dorsal plates? They are one of the best looking ones on any shma. Your just looking at every bit of the figure and saying “bad. I hate it.” With a dull voice. This isn’t even a review, steven didn’t like these figures yet he brought up good points besides saying “bad” every few seconds. I understand not liking these figures at all but it’s crazy because I’m not seeing many good points here other than it’s a repaint. The kong axe was in fact charged in MANY parts in the movie. You said you watched it, which I believe you but maybe you didnt pay attention enough, when kong went down the shaft his axe, the energy charged it. In the final scene, it was charged in the end of the hollow earth fight and it was charged when suko hit it on the shimo crystal. And staying on the same topic, accuracy isnt what makes a figure good. The axe glowing like that isnt bad, in fact it’s good. When hiya tried the accurate axe glow, it looked like random streaks of blue made by a 2 year old. No hate, though just don’t see why the review is built like this. I am a fan of your what happened to the shma line videos but this just ain’t it.
I personally look down on SHMA because I don’t like the mold for Godzilla and Kong has poor joint connections ( at least mine does). I do like the grey paint on Kong. On Godzilla the dorsal plates are mid and the face it is just meh. The teeth do look bad on his copy. It all comes down to quality control issues and how it’s made. You could have a copy that’s perfect and a copy that’s terrible. And the price for SHMA is just terrible too. That’s the main reason why I like Hiya, even though they have used the same Godzilla mold for a bit at least you don’t get a lot of quality control issues. Some time the paint bleeds over a bit. The main reason SHMA didn’t do to well is because they were a little bit lazy with the sculpt. And your wrong, Kings axe never charged up, it only lit up with light. UNLESS…if it comes from another source of energy elide Godzillas atomic breath. And it sucks that we have to pay another 300 bucks just so we can get some accessories, kinda tells you these figures are just cash grabs. Anyways, have a blessed day.

To be honest, I'm happy with my godzilla 2024 and I don't regret buying him. Well it's not a perfect figure but it's no that bad, and at least it comes with atomic breath. And before someone says that I should buy hiya instead. I already have 2 hiya godzilla (gvk updated and atomic breath)
