Hey great vid, very informative :) I have just purchased this for general photos and independent movie making, luckily their will never be a time I will need more than 29 minutes of straight recording so that's not an issue :D although if I wanted to do a time lapse vid I guess that would stop me :/ can I just ask what rechargeable batteries you use as I've read some reviews that say the battery life was not great on these, thanks in advance
My biggest complaint with this camera (I've had it for a day) I absolutely hate that there isn't a manual mode. You can *kinda* get manual mode with white balance and ISO adjustment but you cant adjust shutter speed or Fstop. At least, not that I could find.
I know this video is old but you seem to have contradicted yourself.. You say it has a "slow shutter speed" but it also has an exposure button, exposure and aperture settings change the shutter speed, so all in all I'm confused as to how you made this statement...
Hello, I want to shoot a cover page of a magazine, for my college project, is this camera good enough? like i want to edit the image a little bit later in photoshop/corel draw? will it pixalate too much then? minor edits like adding background and all.
no it doesnt take pictures while recording video sadly, i wouldnt recommend it for concerts because it doesnt focus very well during video especially when zoomed in i would recommend a canon powershot sx170 is for concerts i love both of them i love all my camera tho :)
how do you get window movie makers? I want to edit video for you tube and have a program to work with pictures ? suggestions ? need camera for video and with mike that could be external have jvc Gz-mg330 , Kodak ez share, kikon cool pic l320 . I can not upload JCv because of file ending ?? please help

Yes...I do that with all my cameras...I never use a standard sd card...as long as you have the adapter to put the micro SD in, you should be good to go.
If I remember correctly, the SD card slot is located under the battery door, and mine did not come with a SD card, so it would have to be bought separately, unless you find a camera bundle where it is included.

Well the lens is not detachable on this camera, i didnt keep it long and it may have a fish eye effect built into the camera, but im really not sure...sorry i couldnt be more help.
The built in microphone in the camera is honestly pretty good quality. The speakers are terrible in the camera but if you upload the videos to your computer and play them back, the audio is fine. From what i know there is no attachment mount (Hot shoe) but i could be wrong. it's all about testing tbh.
It is very good it's better than my phone's camera (HTC One) for the price I got it for I would say its very very good. I can email you some photos or something.
Sharper 23 Battery life always depends on how much you use it, but honestly, when I had it, I used some good rechargeable batteries that were at least 2000mah...if you look at the package it will usually tell you how long they will last in between charges.

Lithium battery mode IS for rechargeable batteries, Carolinavenom. BTW, I live in NC.

This is not a bad camera and it did take some pretty decent photos, but it's basically just a regular point and shoot camera with enhanced zoom.

Yep that's all... that's why I didn't keep it because it didn't record as long as you had storage... it had a cut off time.

I use rayovac rechargable batteries for mine i brought 8 for 14.97 at walmarts
