- How to hard plumb your above ground pool but still making sure that you don't have to fight leaks due to pool flex. PVC plumbing your pool is very beneficial but because of the rigid nature of the hard PVC, any movement from your pool will eventually lead to leaks in the pipes. I solved this issue by incorporating some flexible Intex hose into the build.

Intex is FPT and standard pvc is NPT, one is Flat and the other is tapered
Could put some foam pipe insulation over the original flexible hose for UV protection. The pool is on sale now for under $400 (20x12) so I might grab one.
That is a great price 😃
Thank you so much for this videos. Definitely making it easy for this grandmother lol super G.
You are welcome 😃
How did you connect the black hoses from the solar panel to your system? Could you show that?
Complete with the obligatory dad joke! -- Good info -- thanks
@@j.stribling2565 lol, thanks for watching and thanks for catching the dad joke

Hi, check the description. thanks
@@ErikaCosplay hi sorry I thought you were talking about the gasket. Check Lowe’s if Home Depot is out. I remember having to go to both Home Depot and Lowe’s just to gather everything needed
I thought getting rid of the flex lines was the whole idea 💡 🤔
Hello, great video. where did you find the hose adapters that are used before the plunger valve?
@@TiceFamily-fr8ws hi thanks. You can find those adapters on Amazon I forgot the specific name for it 😅
Thanks for the video it helped me wrap up my confusion with the gap I was getting in the fittings
You’re welcome. I’m glad it helped 😀
i do love that you used the flexable intex hose to leave movement so it won't break, but then mounted the pvc to a movable point which could let the pvc and/or connect to break anyway. but... it gives me an idea of how i'd like to do mine
Awesome definitely make improvements on top of this. I love it. 😀
Most EXCELLENT video AND channel. My husband and I appreciate how simple and efficient your set up is. Can you please list the hose holder and the gray cutoff valves? We're going to ziptie our leaky hoses until we can do your EXACT set up. (Even ordering the Intex vacuum). Thank you for all of your tips. 🥰
Hi, there are links in the description for all the parts you’ll need. Thanks 😃
I meant specifically the plunger valve b hose adapter and hose holder. Only the gasket and Intex flexible hose were listed in the description 😊
Please post the gasket information. I am fight this now..
The gasket is in the link of the video description 😃
Great tutorial video I going to do it to my pool 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Awesome. Let us know how it turn out
For the Rubber Gasket in your description, I clicked on the link and there is no 1-1/2. I am just wanting to confirm which size you ended up going with? Thanks
hi, the inside diameter has to be 1-1/2inches. Looks like the seller may have run out of stock on the 1-1/2 inch gaskets. maybe you can try browsing around amazon to see if you can find it.
ill try to see if i can find something similar and post it up...hopefully i can find it soon.
Hi, check out the new link, i found the 1.5inch that is needed for the install. =)
Where did you find the thick rubber seal? Thats exactly what I need.
Amazon. Check out the link in the description. 😃
Thanks I didn't think about looking in the description part.
It's possible that the thread is mismatched in pitch, but there's definitely a difference that the hose end is straight thread and the PVC is tapered pipe thread.
👍🏻
@don_wynn, are there any leaks on the flexible hose with the big Gaskets to pvc connector?
@@Poncho-23 there’s no leak there. I do have to reinforce the screw on nut of the hose with a hose clamp.
Thank you very much for responding
Nice job! one of the best I ever seen!
Thank you so much for the kind words 😃
Great video
Thank you glad you enjoyed it 😃
Intex does sell a standard thread hose. The whole world uses metric, it IS standard.
