Hi Jacqui. Great tutorial. I am preparing to teach moon salutations this week so am refreshing my knowledge by watching some other teachers tutorials. When teaching, however, I can never decide if I should teach it backward (left to right) since I am usually facing my students. Do you have any tips on this? It's hard to say left when I am going right but I don't want my students to get confused. I've thought about just turning the opposite way so they are looking at my back but that is not ideal. Any tips or tricks?
Hi Alisa, thanks! If you mean you're facing your students, as in the long sides of your mats are all in the same direction, I would tend to say mirror your students. Especially since the Moon Salutation moves sideways on the mat, and I find it can get a bit confusing for the students to follow when they also have to think about doing the opposite to you. I personally would not have the students looking at your back, because then you can't see what they're doing. I know it gets super confusing to say "right" when you mean "left". I still do this, but most students don't care if you make that mistake. We're all human! Some ways I try to help myself are: 1) taking a split second more time to think about saying "right" or "left" before I say it; 2) look at the student standing in front of me and imagining myself as them; 3) if you're walking around the class making corrections, then you'll probably be facing the same direction as them already; 4) practising the sequence out loud at home saying the opposite sides. Hope those help you out a bit more!
Beautiful! Thank you very much!

How many full cycles are recommended?
You're welcome! 😊 There really is no set number of cycles you need to do. It all depends on how you're feeling on that day, whether or not you did some other movement before or after, your mood, what benefits you want to get out of it etc. You could start with 2 and see how you feel after that.
When this practice?
Great explanation. I sleep very well after this practice and I will make it my routine. Will do the same with sun salutation. A great way to open and close a day and be grateful❤
Too much talking for me in the beginning but best tutorial I've seen so far on Moon salutations. Thank you.
Thanks for your feedback! At least you can skip the beginning if you want 😊
Can you use word chandr namaskar with translation so that roots remain inact
Btw I really admite your content
I think I like it better than the sun salutations. Thank you
Thank you, i enjoyed your clear explanation and overall calmness during the salutation 🙏🏼😊🌙🤍

I am pretty new to yoga practice. Thank you, Jacqui for the great explanations throughout the sequence!! I look forward to trying sun salutation!!
You're welcome Lynnea! Great to hear that you have found yoga. If you have any questions about anything, feel free to reach out to me 😊
Thank you Jacqui, for all your videos, especially 30 days challenge. Huge fan. Can you give something more like twisty turns and vinayaka flow 20 to 25 min?
Hi, sure thing! I will add those to my lists. I do have quite a few vinyasa flows, and some focused on twists at 20-25 mins already on my channel. Have a search through 😊
Very nice
😊👏👏
Great sequence and guidance, thank you Jacqui! I found this really nice and relaxing compared to sun salutations.
You're welcome! I really like it too 😊
Hey Jacqui, just did your 12min Moon salutation before going to bed. Love your style of teaching, informative yet calm. Thank you x
Thank you so much, love and gratitude 🥰🙏
You're welcome 😊
i loved doing this one! i had actually been adding a pyramid pose into my sun salutations because i wanted more leg stretching. i love that the moon salutation is more lower body focused. definitely adding this to my daily practices. thank you for the clear & helpful instructions!
That the best moon salutation I have watched, smooth, even someone that never did it, can learn to do. Every poses are perfect moving sequence, excellent.
Wonderful !!! Thank you thank you xo
You are so welcome! 😊
I love it! Especially the two paces to help us both learn and integrate the movements and benefits into our bodies. Thank you!
You're welcome! 😊
Thank you Jacqui, love your accent. Sweet dreams!
Very nice ❤
Thanks 😊
Definitely not as physically straining at surya namaskar! :) but not relaxing per se. Still sweating buckets 😅 Namaste! 🙏🏻
Haha, you're right. It's still quite an active set of poses!
When ? And empty stomach or eaten 3hrs later ??
During sunset or even after sunset
Hi, the Moon Salutation is traditionally practiced when the moon is visible, and especially during a new or full moon. But you can practice it any time you want a more calming sequence where you don't want to overstimulate yourself, or any time you feel you need to calm your energy. As for when after eating, I probably wouldn't do it straight after eating, but it really depends on how you feel. You could practice it just before going to bed. It's is a great way to wind down at night.
Such a wonderful flow. Really the best one I found too. grateful to connect and learn. Look forward to trying out the 30 day challenge. All The best 🌻🌈
Thank you so much! Hope you like the 30-day challenge too 😊
Thank you for this tutorial! I really appreciate your clarity and cueing for alignment. This will help my own teaching and practice!
Hi, you're welcome! Glad you found my video helpful 😊
Jacqui I thoroughly love your teaching style; very beautiful and very clear :) x🌜
Aww, thank you so much 😊🙏
I look forward to moon salutation. I'm an evening yogi so I prefer the calm and cooling connection to the nature ... as the night comes so do the cooling temps (usually). Thank you so much!
You're welcome 😊
Really awesome .......❤❤❤❤bye
You're welcome 😊
Supreme!! Appreciate your teaching skills step by step. Too good 👍
Thank you so much! 😊
Thank yoi for the detailed step by step tutorial, i have never been very good at skandasana but after several practises i am improving 💕🙏🏻💕
You're welcome! Glad I could help 😊 Skandasana is a tricky pose. Requires a lot of hip, knee, and ankle flexibility and mobility. Keep going!
I like this a lot, but I can't manage the side lunge. I'll have to figure out blocks for a while, otherwise this is accessible and calming
Thank you! Yes the side lunge is quite difficult. You don't have to go down very far to start off with. You can place a block in front and rest your hands on it. Over time with practice, you'll notice an improvement 😊
❤
Very nice
Thank you 😊
Excellent
Thank you 😊

How many repetitions should one do?
Hi, there's no set number of cycles you need to do. It depends on how you feel, what you want to get out of it, if you did any movement before or after etc. You could start with 2 and see how you feel after that.
❤❤❤❤
❤ beautiful!
Thank you 🙏
I prefer the sun salutation
One is for masculine energy one is feminine one should be balanced
The Best 👌 Thank YOU ⚘️
