I like the two small but meaningful details they added to make this version of Scott stand out from the movie version. First, he's honest about being the guy at the party who said the Sonic line, where in the movie, he denies saying the Pac-Man line. Then, he waits until Ramona is about to leave to ask her out because that lets the conversation naturally continue, but in the movie, he refuses to let her leave until she agrees to go out with him. Again, the small shifts in his actions make it slightly easier to root for him than in the movie. Also, big props to Michael Cera for playing two versions of the same character. I don’t think it's easy for any kind of actor to pull that off, and he pulled it off well.
I didn’t like the fact they casted micheal cera like I understand Scott was a bit of a nerd but not micheal cera nerdy. Needed like that dude from flipped however old he was at the time would’ve been awesome. Or heck maybe even that home alone kid.
@@Kill-JiIIbruh, you couldn't be more right. Everytime Scott appears in that movie I want to punch him in the face. Idk why but Michael Cera is so annoying with his expression.
This interaction with Scott here and on the date is much better, ye still sucks and is a bit geeky, but the conversation flows better and I find it more believable for Ramona to hit it off with him and invite him over afterwards
I haven’t seen the movie but from a few clips I’ve seen after watching Takes off I can’t help but find her to just be unpleasant to be around. Like half the time she doesn’t seem like she even gives a shit about Scott. Part of the reason I enjoyed Takes off so much was because of how good the chemistry felt between Scott and Ramona.
You mean as simple as having her use a sub space highway that runs through your head, then going to a house party and seeing her there, having a super awkward conversation about your autistic hyperfixations, ordering a DVD off of Netflix just to see her, and waiting at the door for several days? Yeah. Seems like it.
Speaking from personal experience, it actually is tbch! The simplicity is key, no need to complicate anything. Just saying sth like, “you seem cool, are you fine with going out sometime?” works just fine
Just a reminder we almost followed the worst possible version of Scott Pilgrim. He had a ton of issues he was never gonna work through even after defeating the exes.

@Kill-JiII tbf it would be wierd getting everyone back to be in it except Michael cera and tbh i think he voiced the charcter fine
imagine getting the whole cast back except the protagonist, it would have been weird
@@Mania- I was referring to the live action Scott pilgrim movie…the reboot is just fine I guess

yeah, didn't like that she selled out in the movie, plus she's a lot more entertaining here
Are you telling me that asking a girl out is that simple?

If you’re Scott Pilgrim then yes

scott is a goober in this version and i love that
hes a silly little goober in the anime
If Scott Pilgrim asked Ramona flowers out, why can't I?.
I love how Ramona Flowers is the best voice actor ever. Always know that he moves in NYC.
0:23 Scott Sounds So Innocent when Ramona Metions The SUGAR DADDY Thing
Me encanta ese brillo en los ojos de RAMMY!
Shame they couldn’t add the scene were he threw it to the garbage can
Sugar what?...
🕊🕊🕊
Ramona voice is so beautiful ❤️

I like Ramona
0:04 what that a sonic reference? I didn’t know!
This series definitely wouldn't have happened with movie Scott
this animation always makes charms
People calling this cringe have never been in love fr fr
This is just how it goes man, you meet a person who makes you act silly.
He sounds like dipper
That’s what I thought. I legit thought it was Jason Ritter when I first heard him, but Michael Cera has aged quite a bit
These episodes should have been a bit slower
Perhaps. I liked the show, but the pacing could have been a tad bit slower
Sonic Hero 6
Goated roommate by the way
shadow reference?
But I’m already happy an taken sooo sorry boys
Hi I’m that girl I’m her I’m that girl that every guy dreams of I’m her
Am i the only who gasps when someine does not know who scott pilgrim is
When a woman says "I don't know what that is in kilometers", then that's a sign that they're probably American.
*Crazy Fact: This is a joke.*
