Please speak in Kannada. Tulu is understood only by coastal people. Not across Karnataka. In Karnataka, the villagers do not speak any language other than Kannada. I don't look down on any language. I respect all the language. But in karnataka Kannada is compusary.

Make sure to follow up and give the culprit punishment. our Indian govt has a very poor and lenient punishment. Police will just give them a warning and let them go. Please ask a FIR copy from the police and hire a good lawyer and follow up regularly.
We also faced a similar issue, when we visited this place we had parked few bikes and made our journey on returning the tyers were made flat, we had to travel back 30KM to SOMVARPET just to get them filled
