Spearfishing Crete in Greece. The endless quest for dentex...

- Spearfishing in the Mediterranean is the most difficult type of diving I've done in my life. Extremely clear water, cunning fish and not many of them. My dream has always been to shoot a dentex and I've done several trips in the Mediterranean to try my luck. This holiday to Greece wasn't a spearing focused trip but I had to bring along my kit in case I got the opportunity to get wet. A massive thank you to Antoni Eesti for helping me out on this trip and showing me international spearo hospitality! Check out his channel and the dentex he shoots, you won't regret it!

I have surfed and spearfished alone for 50 years. Getting anxious in the ocean from time to time is a normal and good thing. It teaches you to be very aware of your gear, fatigue, hangovers and sea conditions. It keeps you alive. No shame in dumping a weight belt if the swell picks up on a shore dive. You can always go back and get it later. Never give in to peer group pressure either but instead take pride in your self awareness.
Beaut visuals. One of the main functions of anxiety is to keep you safe, which it did :-) thanks for mentioning that for everyone.
It’s when it comes at times when it’s not doing it’s function properly that gets you. When it’s completely unreasonable. Thanks dude!
Yep! The malfunctioning smoke alarm, v annoying, can be hard to change dem batteries.
Oyveygoy Mcenany come on mate that’s not the way to talk about mental health, I don’t think people like you know what it’s like to face depression or anxiety.
Great footage Daniel!!!
Really enjoyed the images!
Antonis is a great person and a great spearo!
Thanks Dimos. I think I need to come visit you to find some fish sometime 😎
Guys we are waiting for a teamup👏👏
@@DanielMann Τhe time will come mate!
Daniel and Dimos spearfishing together.. A dream comes true! Definitely consider this, would be a hystorical event! 👏
Hey Dan, I believe that I am not the only one to whom the little peptalk about getting panic atacks down under really talked to, thank you tons for that.
I'am quite comfortable going far and deep when I am with somebody I trust, but once I am alone, I am struggling really hard to stay calm and therefore rather flee to the shallows... So when I see you diving alone, sometimes in poor visibility and quite far from shore I was always so amazed that you manage to stay cool through all that. It is tremendously encouraging to know, that it is not natural to be so fearless, and that not even you are completely level, particulary in a sketchy environment.
So thank you again, for the words of encouragement, they really stuck with me.
Glad to help out Oscar, stay safe.
Daniel, just discovered your channel and systematically going through ALL your videos. Absolutely superb! Felt compelled to comment on this one as I'm currently off work suffering with anxiety and it sounds strange to say, but it's very comforting to know that others are no stranger to it. Being in the Sea has always been my respite from the world but recently even struggled diving. Many thanks for your ongoing work sharing your experiences and knowledge.
Hi Oli, sorry to hear you’re off work with the anxiety. It’s a right bastard at times! Rest assured with the right help and time you can get through it. I’ve been there and sometimes still get it but I have more good days than bad which is a win in my books 💪 Biggest help for me was seeing a professional. You go to a mechanic when you’re car is busted, you go to a doctor when your leg is broken and you go to a therapist/counsellor/psychologist when your head isn’t right.
When I get days like this I just think to myself , what a wonderful training day. When you can, come to Azores, you gona love it.
Amen to that azores is the best
Very beautiful video. You dived in my favorite spots. Nice places but very difficult to find the specific spot where you can catch a fish and a dentex. These places, especially the second one, gives you fishes only when the weather is bad with waves.Next time that you come let me know. Antoni Eesti is THE DENTEX MASTER...Thank you for your amazing videos.....
You may not believe this but I watched all 82 videos of yours. Can't wait for more mate
That is commitment🙌
Welcome to Greece mate!Great video once again.
I think that you met the best spearfisherman you could ,Antonis is an amazing guy and he can catch enormous fish at very shallow water!💪💪
Antoni was a pure gentleman and my wife & I had dinner at his house. I could have talked about dentex all night! He is very observant in the water and very inspiring.
Antoni is a great guy , a friend and an amazing spearo but in this video i would like to tell you that your channel is my favourite one because you are a very humble and nice guy ! Keep up your excellent work Daniel!!
10:34 those are blue runners here in malta there are alot of them .
Super video Daniel 👍 Even though no fish this time round, still a very interesting video. That’s a gift! Please put the referenced podcast link in the description 😁
I can’t believe you’ve had time to watch this while you’re in Croatia! Have updated the description with the podcast 👌
Daniel Mann the vid was perfect for the down time between diving, beach, eating , drinking, hiking etc. 😊
Hey Daniel! Very nice footage. Although I am from Thessaloniki, I have been to Crete a lot of times and it is a wonderful island. Haven't had the chance to spearfish there though... I am sure you had a wonderful holiday there. Antoni is a great spearo! As I have said before I have pictured dentex around a fire pit in the night telling scary stories about Antoni Esti!!! Dive safe!!!
Hahahhaahahahaahahahahahaah .That was a good one !!!
Was a great video mate and some good words of wisdom there. Loving the 80's style synth arpeggio soundtrack too
Yeah @AntoniEesti is a teacher to us all. I love your point of view keep it up. Hope you will come again to Crete soon
Fantastic video and really enjoyable to see your comments on technique, you showed us here you're a very competent freedviver as that last dive looked quite deep, would be great to see a video on how you do your breath ups and tips for diving deeper! Thanks
It's all about being relaxed and comfortable. I wasn't comfortable out in the current and my dives were terrible. I came out of the current and my dives were so much better and easier.
After watching the transition at 6:59 at least 10 times I still couldn't figure out how you did it 😂 Despite you not shooting anything, I still thoroughly enjoyed the video! I guess that really goes to show how well of a video editor you are 👍
The sargo that swam over the top pooped me out below the ledge. Just a simple mask and a locked off shot on the gopro. It’s a bit sloppy but it will pass. Hard when the light is constantly changing from the sunlight and water.
Broooo you made me trip out when you came up twice in one dive 😂😂😂
@ 7:00
I almost put a third version of me in there but thought it may be too much!
Daniel Mann 😂😂😂 teleportation= good hunting technique
Happy to see someone else noticed... amazing clip-stitchwork too, @Daniel Mann. The filmography has gotten so good (not that it was ever really "bad"). This is the coolest spearo channel online.
If you read this, can you tell us what age you got started with spearfishing? I'm 20 yrs old american.
Glad you noticed, I started at around age 15.
I will agree with Antony. If you want I can talk to you about the technique as I grew up fishing in Mediterranean and now live in USA. I compete with my brother but I have no shot when it comes to the Mediterranean. He has figured it out. Would love to share as I am a big fan of your channel. Thank you for your effort.
Outstanding to hear you talking about anxiety and panic. I'm a university professor and we've learned that one of the biggest obstacles to our students achieving durable mental health is their reluctance to talk about what's going on with them. A discussion like this, outside of the normal forums, can go a long ways toward destigmatization. (And, for the record, I struggled with anxiety and depression when I was younger.). I also loved hearing about good hunting technique compensating for not being able to dive deep--my deepest dive is only around 25 meters and my current goal is to be comfortable hunting at 40 feet.
University teacher- I dont understand your math....if your deepest dive is 25 meters, and your current goal is 40 feet......can you help me understand? Isn't 25 meters a bit over 82 feet?
Excuse me. Professor.
My guess is that you aren't in the math department.
Hi @@joseph7173 . When I dove to 25 meters, I turned around and headed straight back up. I'd like to have extended bottom time at around 40 feet.
Goal is to be comfortable hunting at 40ft. There is an enormous difference between a max deep dive and the depth you can hunt at effectively.
Even though i always hit the like button before i start watching your videos, in this video you earned my respect even more. I now consider you to be a way better spearfisherman than i though, eager to learn and improve, but also keeping yourself safe and within your limits! Antoni is a very special type of underwater hunter! He has skills that take years to master and is a very good example to learn from! It took me 3 years of actuall spearfishing to start regularly seing dentex and through that time i watche a lot of his videos, trying to see how to do it... I wish that you find the time to come again to Greece and train on finding dentex! I really enjoyed this "no fish" video! Καλές θάλασσες και καλές αναδύσεις!
Great job mate, a lovely video without not even a single shot is not something easy! The fish i believe are blue runner, and Antoni is defenately the king of the shallows bro...
King of the shallows and BBQ 💪
Great video as always! Awesome takeaway at the end on hunting technique trumping breath-hold and dive depth. It would great to see a video series on hunting technique narrated by you :)
I don't go into the ocean anymore because the first time I put on a snorkel and looked down, I had a panic attack. I almost drowned. So I stick to where I can still see my feet in the water and they can be firmly planted on the ground. I love watching your adventures. What fun you have. Keep on enjoying while you're young. When you are much older it isn't so easy. Thank you for sharing 🌞🌞🌞
This is some solid advice at the end of your video. Everyone takes for granted that those 10meter reefs hold an absurd amount of life due to the amount of light that can reach them. Plus, your bottom time can be ridiculous when you aren't exerting 1/3 of your breath just getting down.
Epic takeaway at the end there mann, cracking video.
I sperafish in the med (Italy) from the age of fourteen. Now I'm 45. It all about technique. You choose the right place to wait, you relax, breath, dive, hide, wait, try to attract fish while you stay still. Don't keep moving your head (move the eyes). Stay hidden and don't move until you shoot. Ciao
I have enjoyed your videos from the beginning, and they continue to get better and better. You may just be the next David Attenborough.
I would never have considered your hunting technique to be ordinary, but as you recognised there is always more to learn. That kicks you up into a significantly higher level of awareness as recognised by the Dunning Kruger Effect.
Well done, and bravo for your courage to be real.
Thats awesome, brave and courageous to address the anxiety you and many men have experienced wether they've felt comfortable enough to talk about it or not. Thanks Man. That's very Humble of you I think!
Thanks man, I'd never want anyone to experience what I have in my life and if I can shorten someones suffering by them even thinking about talking to someone I'm over the moon.
Notice me daniel from ph. Always watch your vids very nice and ived learned a lot from you techniques. Didnt skip ad . I know thats the only way i can help to support your channel dive safe always!!
Thanks dude!
Cheers from Italy, the mediterranean is a great (and hard) gym for a spearfisherman, it will put you to the test but will reward you too, keep grinding and the dentex will come💪
I dont often last a whole video for anyone, but always with a DMann show I do - Question regarding camera equipment settings. Just wondering if one episode you could give a quick 60 sec overview on your gopro settings and im guessing as I didn't see any red filter you colour correct in premier pro? thanks and keep going
Thanks for the support! I plan on doing a video for underwater filming, probably in the winter when I'm not diving so much. No red filters. I have moved away from grading in Premiere Pro, the controls are very basic compared to DaVinci Resolve. That is next level and really helps with underwater scenes by being able to control the reds and balance of the colours so much more. Bit of a faff round tripping but I'm happy with the results I'm getting from my hero 7.
You again show us that you are the master of spearfishing videos! Totally agree on the hunting technique being the main factor in success spearfishing - Here in Nz snapper are one of the hardest fish to shoot but when you learn to hunt them you can spear them with your snorkel out of the water - I must have shot 10 in the past year from the surface...Cheers!
Phenomenal video Daniel, fantastic the way its been put together. Worthy of an award!
Very nice message for the uncofortable moment and the sincerity is that counts!!!!!
Excellent choise.
Dont forget to drink "tsikoudia".
But remember only homemade.test as well the cretan traditional sweets.
Crete is the pioneer of the mediterranean diet.
One more video from Crete
Please:)
by far the best channel on youtube. the cinematography and minimalism shown in your videos is far beyond anything ive ever seen. and the way you interact with yor viewers is stellar. keep it up dude. the quality improves with every new video.
Super true about the final messaagee regarding hunting being the key. Good luck with the dentex next time Dan, cool video yet again 👌
Some really nice words in there mate and it's so good to know that their are other people out there you can ask for advice or help if need be! Top man and top channel
Amazing footage. Excellent videography. It is definitely an art and makes the video super enjoyable to watch, even though no fish were caught. Well done.
Hi Daniel,
You really earned something important at your journey.
The conclusion that spearfishing is not all about crazy depths and very long breath-holding.
It is also technique and effort.
I really appreciated your respect and humble point of view.
We all learn every day from the sea...
I am sure you will succeed at your quest only because you are willing to learn,
You earned my respect
great video .i had that feeling when i was tank divig the san José in 120 feet of water off southern new jersey in 5 foot visibility and a 3 knot current . on the wreck blue and mako sharks kept swinging just at the edge of the visibility. i bailed on that dive
It is really nice seeing you in Greece finally. Love the vids
I need a break 😢 Greece sounds good 🤔 nice Saturday morning watch with grey skies and rain outside in Kent Uk 😱 hoping weather will be good next weekend may pop down to Dorset lulworth cove ish for a spear nice blog 👍🏻🇬🇧🧜🏻♂️
These are Pompano, or as we call it in Greece "Litsa" or "Maurolitsa"!! Enjoy your summer Daniel! Crete is beautiful!
Daniel, the fish seem to swim towards Antoni before he shoots them. How did he do it, can you please share a tip if any from Antoni?
I spent an evening talking dentex techniques with Antoni but they are his to share, not mine. Plus I haven't been successful yet!
I just love the honesty of your videos bro.
It's great you and the Mrs. could get some free space, fresh air and sunshine.
🙋🏿♂️Greetings to all spearos and everyone else.
As always great vid broski, bless.
Thanks Kyle!
Very nice vid. Those weird fish you saw may be leerfitsh or silverfish. That's my best guess
Thank you so much for the honesty and the vital info. You are helping so many spearos learn how to be truly great like yourself
I appreciate that!
Daniel Mann I appreciate your honestly and openness! Truly a great spearo and a fantastic person! I’m not just saying that for no reason, you are truly a great all around guy.
Hey Daniel, great footage, thanks for the video. We call that fish on 10:35 "leerfish" or "akya baligi" in Turkish. Locals also call that "kuzu" which translates to "lamb". It's a yummy yummy fish.
you are a great ambassador for the sport mate, one of the only spearing channels worth watching, humble yet confident and informative. thanks for taking the time legend
I appreciate that!
I think your message at the end, you go to Greece to learn. I couldn't agree more. There are so many great spearos in the Med who work so hard for their fish and treasure every last morsel. We have no idea how spoilt we are in Australia. Even in chilly Melbourne.
Amazing... I was just talking about technique vs. physical ability yesterday, coming back from a boat dive off Lanai, Hawaii. Thanks a bunch for reinforcing this fact!
Daneil i was more than happy to see this video, since im from israel, and conditions are somewhat similar. i was more than pleased to hear such a skilled spearo such as yourself mentions the harshness of the middeternian. you can just imagine the gap when you start fishing IN the mediterrianian, vs all those abundtant & lazy fish we see people get all across the globe (especially in US and australia, god, how many!) and then we go to a good diving day....and....it's hard to find, takes skill, patience and indeed, speficic knowloedge. a few tips that may add to your knowledge:
1. at this HOT summertime, 1 mm is more than enough in these areas., 3mm is overkill of the overkill.
2. the places you documented were even in 'our' standards quite dead in terms of fish . but yea, this sea is way overfished.
3. do know it's a blessing to kill a lionfish in the mediterrinan, it's an invasive species from the red sea and it oblidirates the fish in it's surroundings, having no natural enemies. if you see one, try n' kill it.. just be catious from the nasty venoums.
4. at least in israel,we sometimes swim more than 500m (even 800m) to reach decent depths of 12-14 meters. the water are way shallow. we use sctooers sometimes or kayaks to reach such far places from land - to save energy for the ambushes.. before those distances - the reefs are too shallow and the fish are too suspicious. im not sure about greece, which is known in its abundance and depths, but the boats are a problem and they indeed scare them. most of the good spearos here dive to 10-14 meters to get decent sized fish.
3. this particular float you took is good vs a wounded diving fish - but in terms of visibility, its too small (IMO) for boats to "really" see. some people don't care, some just do drugs on boats, with this bouy, barely anyone will see you. take care my friend - another great video, i was glad to see im not the only one having difficulties here.
In the Mediterranean there are very good spots that are infinitely better than here in the states. In the tropics though, especially the Caribbean, spearing is way different and is sometimes super easy. And the float he was using is regulation sized for a single diver. If people are 'taking drugs' then it doesn't matter what flag is out or how big, just a bunch of stoned idiots not seeing it anyways
Great video Daniel as always! and yes the Mediterranean Sea is not a spearfishing paradise!
Awesome videos Daniel, you should come to Portugal, more exacly to Algarve. If so, say something. I've a couple videos but you can looks for the following spot Carrapateira, Sagres Algarve, Peniche, Sines... Keep the good work. PS: only caught one dentex in all my diving years (+-25 years, I started with +- 10 years old) i feel your pain...eheh
As always, great training for us newbies. Thx for sharing Dan.
Very good point about the Med being for learning. Bearing your comment in mind makes me think that all my "failed" attempts spearfishing in the Med have been responsible for my "successes" in places like the Caribbean, Atlantic and Indian Ocean. I actually thought here in the UK was difficult until I tried the Med. Also, I mostly spear alone so some level of anxiety is normal, even welcome. I think when you don't feel any at all when spearing alone in unfamiliar waters is the day to ask yourself if something's broken.
Superb video. A pleasure to watch and listen as always. " This is not a spear fishing holiday" 😉😁
Thanks so much for speaking out about anxiety. I have way less experience than you, but already experienced that chilling feeling when diving in places that I don't know well, even if in company! That kept me going straight back to shore and without catch, but, hey, I'm here and even more thrilled about learning amazing practice. And thanks for the tip on the podcast!
Glad it was of some help!
Nice one Mr Mann.. Liked and subscribed! Very good video.. I like your style!!
Cheers Justin, welcome aboard.
great video, I liked a lot to see you hunt in my playground, very nice adaptation and I really aprreciate the fixed sequence when you dive two times without moving the cam and show up like big fish, amazing
Damn fine lesson, sir. And absolutely magnificent video quality. Keep making that magic that you do.
Don't worry Bro, as you can seen this is the most difficult fish you can meet. The hardest point (imo) is to find the right spot. And it's not the deepest as you can see. I really trust that the key is the well knowing of the area. I really like your video especially because you show us that we can learn everytime. I'm pretty sure the next time a huge dentex will be your. Keep the good work Bro !
The fish you saw coming back up to the surface at 10:33 are called 'Sawrell' in maltese. They are really good to eat especially of that size and bigger :)
I live in Malta and I also Spearfish, I've been spearfishing with my grandfather since i was 10, so if you're ever back on the Island I would love if you would hit me up, it would be an honor to dive with you someday!!!
I don’t know if anyone has said this, but that transition around 7:00 minute mark, that is skill!!! I was following the fish and everything on screen and couldn’t see when you decided to cut and put the next scene of you behind that rock. Great job 🤙
No cuts 😎 Just a keyframed 🎭
Daniel Mann even better! Now I can learn a new technique, impressive job though
Hey mate your videos are amazing! In where I live in one of my dives I noticed dentex in just 4 meters depth, and even less, it was such a beautiful picture of her following me for couple of meters.
As soon as I seen the notification, it already made my night better
What a wonderful video.
Thank you for sharing.
I hope you had a good time here in Greece. I only just got into spearfishing, but I was on another island until yesterday and I saw literally everything. Dentex, sargos, groupers, you name it. Ι saw a whole lot more (including big ones) when I got the chance to snorkel off some cliffs inaccessible without a boat. I think the fish you asked about were Trachinotus ovatus.
Cheers from Israel (also in the the Mediterranean) IMO the type of fish you saw at 10:27 appears to be Caranx crysos - "blue runner". they are pelagic, tasty, and extremely fast,. oh, and very beautiful. they are ofcourse relatives of the giant trevallies.
Dan we love man because you’re not arrogant 🌊🌊🌊🐟🐠🐟🐠 good luck next time
Even though you did not have any fish to shoot, thanks for those beautiful pictures man ! Nice music too by the way !
Cheers from Croatia Daniel, thank you for great videos, you helped me a lot, I started spearfishing this year! Keep up, Dentex will come soon I am sure :)
Interesting and such great technique stunning video makes me wanna go try my own hand at it and do it this way. The vibes, wakes my instinct I wanna go, setup a playlist with Metallica and Delta Parole and go off into my own world soon.
Daniel thanks for the great video! There's only one way to start catching this fish...You have to accept that you will go home dozens of times without any fish till you master the Dentex technique, there's simply no other way around it, no mater how many tips someone gives you, you just need to keep on trying and learning till you get a good feeling about this fish...The first stage is that you dive and you see nothing, the second stage is that you dive and you start seeing them (that's the longest stage), the 3rd stage is that you will get your first 1 and you might have to wait weeks to months to get the 2nd one...at some point you get a good understating about the fish behavior and the specifics of the locations that you are diving and you ''ll be catching them more often. Also, they are much easier to catch at a depths bellow 15-20m (especially at the thermocline during the early Summer) compared to shallow waters! Thumbs up to Antoni, he's a great spearo and his achieves are impressive!!!
It’s a long road ahead but one I’m prepared to walk down.
@@DanielMann worths the effort ❤️
Awesome video again, loved the edits on the double dive haha, spooked me for a second! Hope you enjoyed the holiday :)
Lionfish on the right at @12:10 are they an invasive species in those parts?
Well said on the anxiety issue...safety is key and panic can and will cause death and injury whilst spearfishing! "Peeps take note!!" also take note of Dan's sign off speech as regards to technique trumping deep diving ability! I have said this a number of times over the years as well...learn...listen and above all apply the knowledge gained and you will see the wisdom in these very wise words! Bravo Dan the Man!
No worries Dan...spearfishing needs more educators! Well done on the channel not an easy task as I myself am finding out the more I learn the more it becomes apparent that I know nothing! Bravo again!
congratulation for what you have learn and teach! the modesty means humanity and knowledge many times! thank you, Daniel!
great video and even better mindset..well done Daniel!
Hi I am from Malta those fish like Travalie are called : Blue Runners, and in Maltese : Sawrella they are very good for eating and a very curious fish. Not so hard to catch them 😄
Incredible video, great advice about fishing, the time and patience it takes to learn the skills needed.
I NEVER coment on vids but this dudes so rad , I love the ocean I surf ect but yet I always have anxiety and panic. I love how this guy addresses it , and says its OK to be scared . I can't wait to get my scuba cert , but I do wanna free dive spearfish
Thanks mate! Glad you got something out of the video 👌
Very nice video my friend.. I'm also try to find nice places for dentex because I'm from crete but nothing..i hope to find one good Spot 😄
Greetings from Crete, our beautiful, overfished island with crystal water and strong currents! 'No fish' dives are usual, especially this period. Nice vid, even without the famous dentex!
Excellent film! Very enjoyable and instructive. Bravo 👏
Great video, loved the colours, loved the shot of the sunset from below. Great insight also.
Thanks Gerard, even though I didn’t get a fish it was still such nice diving conditions.
For a newbie, like me,getting a fish is the cherry on top.Just being down there is the juice.
It’s not your skills, Med is overfished. Groupers are over hunted from babies. I live in Crete
Definitely my skills, some guys can get fish but I can’t just yet.
Daniel Mann you are a positive guy
Thats bcs you Greeks have Marcos Vidalis that got every fish up there ...
Hi Daniel, this is Nigel from Malta. Absolutely love the content you create! Big inspiration as i have just started this amazing hobby. The fish in question is a blue runner, Sawrella tal-imperjal in Maltese.
once again that fish resisted you. Dentex for me is the most complicated fish in the Mediterranean, I really wanted you to catch one.
I hope in the next! good luck and a hug. The great video
One day I'll get one, one day.
Hey Daniel, thanks for sharing your raw feelings when you’re not comfortable in the water… I had a similar episode recently, my mask was letting in water, it was the end of the day, wind was blowing and there was chop. As a result i swallowed some water and freaked out and had to get out!
It happens to everyone at some stage I think. It’s important to recognise that it’s a perfectly normal reaction.
I was waiting so long for you to make a video in Greece and finally!!
Oh my god you are in my country!!!!!.thanks for sharing
DANIEL AND
HAPPY VACACIONS
Thanks Dimitrios, we had a great time.
Nice video Daniel hope you've enjoyed your days in Greece. One tip for better results for the next Dentex search, the momment you got out of the water in the last video(late afternoon when sun sets) is the ideal momment for dentex.
Shallow water is an excellent training, very technical and it requires the appropriate weights. Beautiful images, don't give up and it will pay off !
Welcome to the Mediterranean desert... I mean sea😂
I've been spearfishing the med here in Spain for 9 years now and I've only caught 3 dentex in that time, it's just a question of hours in the water and right place right time.
Awesome video as always.
Daniel very nice video... it's a shame that I don't know that you are coming to my island I live on Crete so I could say you same spots to go find some dentex... next time you visit Crete you must try elafonisi it's about little bit more then 1 hour from chania there it's impossible to don't see a dentex the places it's full of them...
So for the fishes you don't know the names I thing they are (Salema porgy or Dusky spinefoot ) it is difficult to say because I don't see them very clear
I'm from Malta and spearfishing here is very difficult.. must be the result of over-fishing :(
Regarding the fish mentioned at 10:27, they're called "Scads" and are very similar to trevally. In fact, some call them "mediterranean trevally" or "horse-mackerels".
Wonderful content as always :)
Thank you sir!
Man come to Sardinia, water is beautiful, best time to come is like October through End of November/ beginning of December: that’s when the Tuna migrate.
