And btw, i love how sabin(?) is dropping all these tiny mvc2 tidbits during the matches that casuals like myself wouldn’t have known about the game. Really helps understand more of the game.
Some of them are wrong though. Like only certain moves give you unfly, not just getting hit while in the air and you lose it if you normal jump. Switch glitch is frame two IIRC. I've heard you can beat it with a manual input timed on frame one, but I've never done it and it's risky.
Good to know. It’s still nice for him to drop what knowledge he knew about the game, since a lot of the stuff they talked about was never really written down online. Like i knew about the specifics of unfly, but i definitely didn’t know about the switch glitch.
Any time you get hit into/out of the air and you land on your feet, then you have access to unfly for 15 punch and kick inputs.

Edwin Lor nope they dont make them anymore. I remember you have to buy the ps2 version and use the EMS adapter to make it work for the Dreamcast. I still have mine. You can buy used one on eBay if you're lucky but they are rare and quite expensive.

What does last frame mean when doing the sentinal guard break. Can someone explain it. 😀😀😀
Not sure wether you are refering to guard break or unblockable ... timestamp?
Sentinels crouching HP will be an unblockable on the last few frames. You can't just throw it out - you set it up so they land on it as the beam thins out - e.g Cyclops assist hits, do crouching Hp so they land on the last part of the beam. There are also corner set ups after you land an air combo - RP, falling Hp, HK, time beam to hit as they recover
Guard breaks are when someone is in normal jump mode - they can only block once so you hit them with an attack, pause - hit them again and they can't block. Most common example is Cable on incoming character - j.Hp at peak, pause, AHVB.
Augmintt I mean unblockable. And can you explain what they mean by frame's. I heard people say it all the time.
Frames usually refer to how fast a move comes out but in this case its just about duration - frames before the beam disappears.
MvC2 runs at 60fps iirc.

It helps that this game has had literally 15+ years of professional play behind it while DBFZ came out a week ago.
XahGee mvc2 is literally the ST of tag fighters I doubt DBZF will be that good. This games been out for 18 years and still has a large following with online players both new players and OGs.
It was way before my time in the community but can someone explain mod sticks?
People mod buttons, joysticks (some prefer japanese sanwas - looser - or old school ball tops) and even use customs pcb's - PS 360+ or Brookes - so you can use your stick on PS 3, PS 4, X360 and PC.

MAS sticks? Those were the arcade sticks of choice especially when EVO made the switch from arcade to console. The old Hori sticks were typically import only (thus pretty expensive to obtain) and considering Japanese style arcade cabinets weren't as prevalent as they are today, players wanted something closer to the American arcade experience. Some will argue that american sticks are much better for MvC2 specifically, but there are many players that have won using Japanese sticks.

Yummy Chris Well now that I think about it I don't think scratching is bad necessarily it's just that scratching a braided lump probably isn't very comfortable so they just got for the pat instead.
If you scratch it then you mess up the parts in your braids. It wont be crispy anymore

Mvc 1 was fun cool n everyone was playable the franchise wasn't as tier whoreish yet n casual friendly mvc2 had a bigger roster but only like 6 playable characters as mentioned by someone else and the skill cap was very high one mistake was pretty much death.. might as well call the game magneto & friends mvci is fun but is ugly asf and looks like a cell phone game gameplay wise it's dope cool mechanics they like took things from mc1 3 n marvel infinity stones and made mvci

It’s not only characters and graphics, the majority of the players that support this game are the ones that grew up playing it on Dreamcast. So we remember it in its purest form. So if they want Marvel 4 to be what they want then they are going to have to go back to marvel 2 and use it as a base. Everyone knows 2d fighting games always move, feel, look, and play better than fighting games rendered in 3D graphics.

All of marvel Marvel is "broken" u know all this stuff is possible so theres always a feeling of anything can happen thats why ppl love it so much and if sfv is the only sf for the next 5 years ppl still wont praise it because as u said about this its dull and boring but sfv is also 1 dimensional with everuone having the same setups and combos and playing the same while in marvel everyones movement bnbs and mix is different in some way giving them personality on top of having its fast paced gameplay. U might not like it but u dont have to shit on something just cuz u cant enjoy it like the rest of us
