I live in Belleville IL and glad to say that we still have our drive in. They wanted to tear it down a year ago or so but too many people were against it. So happy to still have it and even the classic car nights...
That music is called "La Vitrine Aux Jouets" published in the 50s in the Chappell Music Library. I have the LP, and it's full of this kind of music. Must do some RUclips uploads!
Unusual intermission trailer. Concentrates on popcorn, soda, hot dogs, and hamburgers. Mentions, but does not show any candy or ice cream. No mention at all of pizza, coffee, french fries, etc.. Very cool, though! THE DRIVE-IN THEATRE PRESERVATION SOCIETY TheDriveInGuys.com
Apparently, some drive-in stands were "pushing" hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn and cold drinks, because that's what they concentrated on selling the most.
Thanks for providing the name of that music at 0:39! If you come across the title of the tune at 3:00, would love to know that one too! These nostalgic intermission films are a treasury of wonderful old production music, yet finding their names and artists can often be a matter of blind luck.
You cannot create this coolness with modern day motion graphics.

Burgers, hot dogs, pizza...it's enough to give Jamie Oliver apoplexy, but i love it!
Anything that triggers that moron is good by me.
"Don't forget to pee and REMEMBER......Keep that kid quiet!"
It might be because its 3:20am, but this is so beautiful.
I really feel that I'm on LSD watching this. Cups with soda floating, a kaleidoscope of hot dogs, a starburst of popcorn...
The video at 3:02 makes me think of Adventureland in East Farmingdale, New York for some reason. Then the second time it gets kind of creepy.
First part reminds me of the General Cinema type of animation.
Fanfiction intermission Lunch a Tuna Fish Sandwich a Pepsi and Pop Corn and Potato chips.
Subscribed and getting ready to read the next chapter.
Now I'm going to keep on having that in my head for hours!
Yea! It's the theme music to "Spunky and Tadpole" from 0:39 to 1:34!
Why does this have a strange dream-like quality to it?
Fun to watch😊☃❄️🎱🍿
Must stay on my diet!
Hamburgers at a drive -in???
I guess I missed that one.
You did miss it. Most drive-ins had hamburgers.

BOOGATTY BOOGATTY-BOO . . . POPCORN!!
The first part, for some reason, appears to be the work of Chuck Jones, or done in his style.
I'm going to guess 1963-65. And yeah, it's in great shape.
Guessing 1963. Anybody know? This one's in great shape. Thanks!
What? No timer? How do they know how soon the second feature will be playing? The drive-ins I worked at all had "Only two minutes remaining" warnings.

At 2:57- What's this music piece called that sounds like a music box at Christmas?
But, uh, what does the animation look like to you? If Rankin-Bass, not putting my finger on it!
+Pika Bro It's probably something else.
+Pika Bro It looks like claymation
+Elisa Huberman Oh.
Elisa, I wish someone could ID it. It is TOTALLY AWESOME. Especially the harpsichord work in it. Massively edifying.
