6:16 He hasnt got any food because you havent told him what fuel to use to cook with! Need to go into the Restaurant hut block and enable whatever you want to use as furnace fuel, like coal or planks or kelp blocks etc. I really like using kelp blocks because you can build a fully automatic kelp farm using Create that both cooks the kelp and turns it into blocks, and finally deposits it in a "Postbox". The Postbox is like a chest that automatically calls Couriers to come pick up and move the contents into the Warehouse. This gives your Colony an unlimited fuel source, not just for the Restaurant, but the blacksmith and others. 10:30 Yeaaa boii, bbq those raiders!
I also suggest u do the combat researches since half ur guards are sleeping.... Most Combat researches require iron which u have infinite of... Speaking of Guards, they gain experience fighting mobs but gain more experience and level up their stats faster if they are fighting RAIDERS so u should not BARBEQUE them...
when i last played minecolonies, i used a barracks as my gate and made a connected from my wall to my barracks by myself. The barracks came with its own gate system which raiders would attack instead of destroying walls or teleportation, the barracks provided beds for 20 population, each barracks tower would host 5 knights, and if i told my knights not to patrol from that barracks, they would sit at until a raid turned up and then 20 knights would bum rush the raiders as they attacked the gate. The gate system was annoying but once the raiders broke it, i just didnt let my builder repair it and that worked fine for me... there were plenty of guards, nothing was getting through that place anyway.
Fun fact: one of the first things I learned living in the streets was you keep your legs tucked through your backpack when you're sleeping to avoid losing all your belongings. Cheeky little mod nod with the backpack being at the foot of the sleeping bag.
I would love to see an Sjin style colony. Have played with making my own style its not that complicated really and can be done in creative would really be awesome to see the lv-1 to 5 you come up with for the buildings that you want to use in one of your next series.
Sjin you can add decorations from other packs, just switch packs to see them all. Each pack has their own along with different walls. The Urban Savannah has a drawbridge, the Fortress walls are absolutely massive, the Dark Oak walls are nice and shady, and the Caledonia walls are great for making paths on.
While the walls don't keep the raiders out strategically placing breaks in the them can funnel the raiders through choke points. Could be useful. I put guard towers near the choke points.
barbeque raiders! imo it's nice that you use the mod's own decorations from time to time to kinda show them off, and also automate them. if only that canal was thinner it'd be great, those canals at that size would work best for a manmade inlet/bay/harbor area, else it would just take up so much space imo. agree on the idea of adding a park
You did not tell the chef what fuel they must use for cooking up the fish... I suggest u do it fast as ur colonials have a 2% chance to starve to death...
I would like to see a canal in your colonie with maybe a pathway or road alongside it. Definitely think it should come in from the sea maybe cut the colonie in half with it and have lots of lovely bridges over it.

As for the colony upgrade decks, What about a river system with a working (create, and / or other power system) locks system at the sea level to transfer boat up into the colony And / Or a rail system down to the colonies docks for trade good. and / or a rail system to transfer goods to the warehouse. (Research, The Ride the rails) in the Universty
Would really love to see you joining up all the buildings with the roads that upgrade to have rail in the middle. And that wonderful park you showed us too.
The pirates are the worst part of Minecolonies in my opinion, there really needs to be an update that retools pirates, they're the most overpowered raider faction and unless you're playing with multiple people it's really hard to deal with them. They will keep spawning, meaning you have to deal with the spawners first leaving your colony vulnerable because the pirates will completely ignore you and quickly swim to the shore where they'll be able to run all over uncontested. They have unrealistically good armor stats considering that they're just wearing fabric clothes- it can take upward to 3 or 4 hits with my Netherite sword enchanted with Raider's Baine 2 and sharpness 3 to kill just one pirate. I have up to 18 guards with iron plate armor and diamond swords with all the combat trees up to level 4 researched and I still can't go one pirate attack without loosing a guard or 2 if I'm not fast enough. (I just recently acquired the Incinerator sword which does 14 damage on top of the added enchantments I carried over from my Netherite sword and it'll still take 2 to 3 hits just to kill one pirate) Pirate ships spawn too far away from the colony for any of your guards to help you- not like they would be much help considering how overpowered pirates are, but if their rally range was longer they would be able to prevent any pirates from swimming ashore while you deal with the spawners (in theory). The barrack's "hire spies" ability doesn't work with pirates, you may think "yea, duh why would you need that when they spawn from one direction?" It's because there's no way to really tell if you've killed all the pirates or not, sometimes you'll get a message saying: "all pirates have been killed" but 9 times out of 10 that message won't pop up (at least for me) meaning I have to run around my colony wondering if there are any left and if so where the last few pirates are because the guard AI doesn't actively seek out invaders and regardless if all pirates are killed or not my colonists won't get back to work until the next morning anyway which doesn't happen with any of the other raider factions. Being able to see where pirates are within your colony could mean saving a colonists life. So many pirate invasions have ended with me thinking that I got all the pirates because I've run around the entire colony and didn't see anyone only to get a notification a minute later telling me a pirate killed one of my colonist- it's maddening. (more proof of this frustration comes for this very video where Sjin thought he got all the pirates only to find out 2 of them were still running around his colony) Pirate archers are WAY too overpowered, there's no pause between shots, a pirate can just shoot as many arrows at a target as they feel like making it hard for the player to get in close and basically making any of your guards regardless of what armor they wear walking piles of ground beef- I've had instances when I was in the early stages of building my colony where I've witnessed a single pirate archer kill 3 of my guards (all 3 having shields) without taking a single point of damage. I think if I ever make a new colony I'm going to avoid bodies of water like the plague because of how frustrating dealing with pirates is- yea you get good loot from the ships, but I don't really know if the frustration is worth it.

You’ve just came back to recording after a long break. It takes a lot out of you. Please don’t over do it to get videos out. We rather you take your time and make the best instead of pushing out mediocre content. Not saying this is, but I get the feeling you are pushing yourself a lot. It isn’t the same when you aren’t being true to yourself because you stress over getting stuff out.
I think you should build roads, walls, gates on your own. Not leaning too much on Minecolonies for that. Youre a great builder!
