Actually very pissed off they didn't use the iconic Don't Fear The Reaper track while camera panning the labs, that would've looked sick with modern filming and makeup effects
After watching HALFWAY, THIS SERIE is better dan TOLD with 5/10 !!! It HAS A TOUCH OF = CARNIVALE !!! THE GOOD VS THE BAD !!! But in a more = FUTURISTIC WORLD !! Let's say, in the world of = THE WALKING DEAD, APOCALYPTISCH !! WOOPY GOLDBERG = IS FANTASTIC !!!!!!!!!!
How you not gonna show how deadly this disease is? Show everyone dead where they stood with no knowing anything was wrong? And don’t fear the reaper? If you’re going to remake something, do it right!
I'm face deep flush in the middle of the book right now. I'm going to wait for this to hit Prime or Starz in January, and by then I should be done with the book. It already feels like cheating watching this little bit. No qualms about the foot in the door from Flagg. I want this to be good because the book has been a masterpiece thus far. I watched the miniseries 20 years ago, no...26 years ago lol and after getting into the book, I must say....It wasn't bad for a made for TV series in the mid 90s. Not bad at all. The characters were on point. From my understanding, they have changed things up with the characters a little bit in this and so far, it looks good to me. Can't wait!
@Mark Green well Mark....Twilight Zone is also a CBS show and it's now available for purchase on Amazon. So...Hopefully the same will happen with The Stand.

@@beathaknockturnal8555 I've watched all three released so far and it doesn't get any better. It's so upsetting because it's such a great story. I was very disappointed in the reboot. The only good things about it were the actors who played Stu Redman and Randall Flagg. Their acting was amazing and made this bearable for me to finish watching.
This doesn't look that good. the original had the videos of the military staff and scientists that died from the super flu and they played a song that fit in PERFECTLY with the series. This one is bland and has no punch or heart.
Yup. That's also inconsistent with what Flagg is in the book. Flagg appears when a society approaches its end. He doesn't cause it to happen. He appears randomly in it, with no knowledge of who he is or why he is there. Then he plays a role in how things unfold, albeit relatively ineffectually in a substantive sense. The book actually describes Flagg coming to be on the road without awareness of who he is and what is happening at first. In the book, Flagg is described as being in the back seat by Campion when he is delirious with fever. He sees him in the rear view mirror.
Sorry the scary factor was completely omitted. I guess kids today can’t handle how eerie the original’s intro was. This intro almost seems like a student film done with just a couple of people.
@@beathaknockturnal8555 yea, and the virus was spreading in the facility before the lockdown was initiated. You can see above the Clock that there’s vents. @@drstrangelove307 Plus if the woman with a hazmat suit got infected clearly she had it before the suit was on. That being said though although it is certainly a stretch Stephen King did actually give an explanation for why the entire base died besides Campion even though some of them just wouldn't be exposed. According to him the initial release of the virus was effectively like a mini nuke going off. The form of the virus in the lab was like instant death that killed everyone in minutes if not instantly. This is why in the 1994 series during the Don't Fear The Reaper segment so many of the staff who died looked like they just dropped dead wherever they were while going about their business casually.

This is so awful. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. What a pathetic attempt to remake a really good movie. Do yourself a favor and skip this and check out the 1994 version instead. It's a great adaption.

Not liking the fact Flagg had a hand in him escaping. It was better that the virus spread by human error all on its own.
