for me the Tocsin album is one of the greatest albums ever made in any genre. there is no album no music that has more of a magical feel for me when i hear it, it instantly takes me back to thousands of nights hanging out for years when i was still young and pretty. and the way the smokey dark clubs felt for me, all the evenings slowly getting made up and ready to go out, driving around going anywhere and doing anything with a group of friends done up in our best outfits, hair and makeup perfect bodies young pale and slim. it is a short period in time in my life that i wish i could have lived in forever and nothing captures the atmosphere and power i felt like that album. thank you for this great live album with all these tracks that meant/mean so much to me.
Just found an interview with Anja Huwe on the Italian music magazine Rumore (March 2024). What a beautiful surprise! I love to discover incredible music of the past

I purchased this too down a market in london (camden) around the same time. Small world. Did know the pitch was slow I have a tech 1210 so i'll speed it up. hehe thanks for posting.
Really, no shit. It's ALMOST as if the Xmals were heavily influenced by material the Banshees had been putting out for 8 years by this point, imagine that.
@@vinniegiles374 Anja said they never heard of Siouxsie until they came to the Uk (in 1984 ?), which I doubt as she was in the Hamburger punk/wave scene since 1977. I can understand she got fed up with the comparisons though. I love both bands but I doubt Xmal wanted to sound like a German Siouxsie.
Some years ago I bought a rave vinyl which came out in the early 90's, and I experienced the same, it was very very too slow and not that fast how I heard in the media.
Remember the ancient times when we cut up pictures/magazines/newspapers etc took our little siblings school paste and spilled our glue and made our own fartworks. Exacto knives !
I had the vinyl and cassette, someone nicked it, was it you, at least you were kind enough to post here so I could still enjoy. Perhaps I'll DL to see if I can get to the correct speed with PT. Really just a bit off here. Also, the Cars called, they want their keyboard back !
You may be right, but the bootleg I bought was even slower. Still, I don't know the correct speed. Perhaps I'll upload a faster version in the near future.
The band were all on qualudes that night. Really good sound quality, must be from the board. Soundman actually knew what he was doing ! Plus the superior quality of all the German sound gear.

Das sind fantastische Songs von einer Stil prägenden Band, dessen Einfluss bis heute reicht!

Magick Album.

Food to the soul....
Awesome, thank you so much for this gem! 💜
I wanted more early Siouxsie and the Banshees
this is more, thank you, I didn't know
I wish this was on video, it's a pity they never recorded a live show with good image and sound.
They diserved it
But anyway thanks for this.
Love this version
Reigen 🖤🖤🖤
Its playing at a lower speed. Sounds slightly different too

track 11 - incubus succubus II & track 12 - geheimnis…. both missing from end.
Yup, that's because I used the vinyl version.
Nice job
Merci nur ein wunderbar souvenir !
a Great Goth band never got the chance to see them unlike seeing Siouxsie and the Banshee's
Do you ever get a bad smell from your penis when listening to this band? I do. Weird.
It was cold wave, 😂
holy hell i must have been blitzed out of my skull when i wrote this.
19:38 kept searching for that song that I could've swore was by Siouxie, but here it is ! Could have easily been on The Scream or Join Hands.

@@vinniegiles374 why the abusive reply ?

Parece Siouxsie.

Right. I got the vinyl , and now I'm gonna buy à vinyl deck with à speed button
@@azurekiin6613 It’s very simple, just use the studio recordings to determine the correct pitch.
Too slow
It's still to slow ...
