No, thanks to you because you upload this. Just for your knowledge I heard this music like 3 or 5 times in a week, to work, sleep etc... Have a blessing day
"...thanks to everyone who has given Final Heaven a listen."... or a thousand ^^ Your music is my daily routine. I just started working today, you can count on a album purchase from me, from my first payment :) Thank you
Thanks to everyone who gave is 'A?' listen? Does that mean I get 50 thanks for being blessed by the music of this amazing album 50 times? AWESOME! TPR, thank you!
Dreaming and drifting and floating back to the world of Gaia... the perfect 3 A.M. soundtrack. I've heard countless hours of remixed music from this game, some bad, some amazing, but nothing that truly captures the essence of my memories of that world as perfectly as this. I think for me this is truly what great RPG music is; It doesn't make me happy or sad in the same way as popular music; it simply takes me out of my life completely. It speaks of another nature, another mood, another time and place, the feelings of another universe altogether.
***** I guess there are plenty of us who loved, love and will love that magic and dark world. It's been almost 20 years since FFVII was released, and it's still my favorite game. Its music, its locations, its characters, its story arcs... Fina Fantasy VII is the perfect game.
I remember, back in 2014 I think, I would listen to this album on VERY early morning drives to work (3 am drive just to make certain I don’t fight with traffic). This album helped get my mind ready for the work day and also brought back all of the wonder and excitement I experienced when first playing Final Fantasy 7. Many year later, I still love this album.
Am I getting old? I have to turn on TPR's FF tributes/Zelda tributes to sleep peacefully at night. It makes me feel very relaxed because it's what I grew up with.
The year was 1997. I was 12 years old. Shining Force on sega was the only rpg i had played(Zelda is not an rpg, its an action game) Then christmas came.Like alot of my generation, FF7 changed me forever! This is one of the true masterpiece games. This is the single best FF7 score i have ever heard. You are a scholar and a gentleman!
The fact that this doesn't have AT LEAST over 1 million views is so disappointing. This is a fantastic tribute to one of the best game soundtracks in the industry!
As soon as I get paid I'm buying this album. What a work of art. I can listen to it when I'm sad, happy, or when I'm trying to sleep. It's so amorphous, it fits into any situation. Keep up the awesome work.
I come back here constantly to put myself in a state of calm, a means to unwind my stress. Always can feel it just dropping off my shoulders, VII and X the favorites.
FF7 is sooo the best game of all time for having a very great story, alsome characters, levels, and plus the music is so very beautiful. Thanks Square! ^_^
Couldn't agree more. My favorite game of all time is a tie. The first is Final Fantasy 7 and the other is... wait for it, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Amazing Stories, characters, music, settings and atmospheres. They don't make games like these anymore, truly.
this is amazing. I had people at work complain about the FF7 soundtrack, I found this instead. You have done a fantastic job playing and picking some of the best songs on the soundtrack and playing them in a very enjoyable and pleasant way. Thank you very much for being inspired and performing this piece.
while disastrously bored studying how to make vector images with text in d3, you have made the experience somewhat enjoyable with this music, thank you sir/miss!
Little did they know, when creating FF7, it would be timeless. And music influencing generations beyond. It came out in 1997, but it is now 2020. And for many years left, I will listen to its amazing tracks.
Beyond the time... i'm return in past: where i played in Final Fantasy 4/5/7/8/9/10 on PS And tears began to fall themselves... THANK YOU MY FRIEND, THANK FOR YOUR EPIC PLAY!
This album got my lab partner and I through some tedious programing troubleshooting. Without this I don't think we could have handled some of those 13 hour days almost literally banging our heads against the wall.
Wow. I was going to make a playlist of very ambient like melancholic and nostalgic songs from the final fantasy series to listen all day in the background. Now I just found this instead. thank you very much. You did a very very great thing.
Hey, I'm glad you liked the album! Sheet music's a tricky one. Not all tracks would be conducive to piano sheet music (Jenova Complete, for example); however, if enough people were interested I'd see what I could do. At the moment I don't own any dedicated notation software. Also, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the incredible feedback from this album. It's very, very much appreciated. TPR
This is my new music to listen to when I am studying and doing homework! Such a throwback to the game that changed my life. You breathe beauty and reincarnate some of the greatest songs from the game with this Tribute. Thank you!!!! :)
This is the music I used to listen to when I work on my business. I kid you not, when I sell my company for millions I will have a lot to thank for FF7&8 music in general during all of those late night working sessions until silly o clock in the morning. It's good background music for focus. It's also nice when I take mini breaks away from the laptop screen as it helps me zone out and puts me right back into a reflective place that throws me back to the old days of my adolescence.
It's not easy and it's quite dangerous to try to reinterpretate such a loved OST. But congratulation to you to make an absolutely beautiful soundtrack turning into something even more beautiful! It's truly amazing.
Totally newfound respect for "Descendents of Shinobi" it's amazing how many songs you made sound better. It would be cool if you and Nobuo himself could do a collab for the remake. Remastered music just like this, not a heavy change in the music but just enhancing the emotional energy. I love it!
+Jesse Austin That song took me well over a decade before it clicked. Absolutely one of the best, and maybe most under rated pieces from VII. The mood of that track is impossible to put into words, in how it is both uplifting and jaunty, and heartfelt and melancholic. It is done so damn well here. Trying to just talk about one of TPR's tracks on this is insanity. Not a single one that doesn't work here. But yeah, DoS is incredible.
+Alex Springer For real though! When you first hear it you think "it's a cheezy filler song" but once I heard this remastered version, I realized it had a lot of depth I didn't notice before. You're right though, even if I try to explain what I mean by that, it's totally impossible! I love this album.
+Andrew Curley are we, actually? Remakes always end up dissapointing the people it was intended for... they honestly can only make it bad(despite their skill).
+Andrew Curley my intuition about how square handles their lattest games tells me, that they will flunk this reboot. They are lately totally turning FF into a hack'n slash/action RPG genre. I personally would HATE it if they made FF7 reboot one of the above mentioned genres. that would simply just not be FF7 anymore. But they already said, that changes will be done and that they will "go with the time". So most of us will probably dislike the new game for various reasons
+Eternal PhoenixLP My guess is they're gonna fuck it up royally. Below, I'm gonna name all the fuck-ups they are likely to do, because Square(Enix) keeps disappointing me with the same mistakes with each new FF game: For starters, that diva Tetsuya Nomura is gonna hijack the game and turn it into his own little fashion showcase like he has done ever since he got free reins over the franchise. It's all gonna be about his over-designed creations. Secondly, they're probably not gonna return to the Random Encounter, Active Time Battle system, but instead implement some of their open world battle systems that make the game feel more like action hack & slash with a slew of tiresome gimmicks to keep track of. Third, they're probably gonna have voice actors. Horrible voice actors, and with no option to turn them off and just go with text boxes. Forth, the music is not gonna live up to my expectations. I know that none of the arrangements, orchestrated versions, etc that have come out over the years have ever come close to the emotional level of Uematsu's original midi tracks. He created such a unique ensemble of sounds that game that have never been properly replicated. Aeris Theme is supposed to be pure grieving beauty with every instrument weeping, not grand and bombastic like all the orchestrated versions are. But, they're gonna go with the latter because it's more "modern". What all these boil down to, is that they're gonna turn it into a so-called "modern" FF game, being totally oblivious to the fact ever the failing sales figures are for that very reason: FF doesn't feel like FF anymore. They're gonna fix things that were never broken in the old game, and probably NOT fix the few ones that were. They're not gonna listen to the fans, because they've stated in the past that they don't care about what the fans think of their games.
+My2Cents First, I don't know what you have against Nomura. He was the one behind FF7 story and characters, Advent Children or even FF8, which are all three great. Second, they're doing a REMAKE. That's what it is, you re-think some things another way. Having the enemies directly on the field and not mysteriously appearing is as good as the old system, more "realistic" maybe ? I thiink this was mostly a technical matter in 97' but it isn't anymore. Finally I really liked when you say that they don't care about what the fans think of their games. Since when an artist (generally speaking, I see S-E as an "artist" entity) has to care about what he creates to please his fans ? Doesn't it work the total opposite way ? The artist creates, the people like, or not. Because by the time the fans begin influencing the artist, it does not work anymore...magic is gone. Don't you think ? (Well this is my point of view. Cheers)
This is sincerely the most gorgeous thing that I've heard in a while. Thank you so much for the nostalgia. I cannot express how beautiful this collection is.
There are LOADS of great Final Fantasy albums out there - official releases like Distant Worlds and Piano Versions plus tribute and crowdfunded efforts like Project Majestic Mix and the OC Remix albums. I have just discovered these "Melancholy Tributes" - Holy crap! This is pretty much the ONLY place where you are going to find lesser known (but no less brilliant) tunes from the game....like On Our Way, Cosmo Canyon, Anxiety etc.....all beautifully interpreted. There are 26 tracks on this.....great value.....but what I wouldn't give for pretty much all of them to be twice as long! Great work TPR. Not easy to pick up the CDs in the UK though.
God I miss nobuos stuff man...not saying the new final fantasy music and games aren't great in their own way. But FF just won't be the same. I hope the 7 reboot stays true to the original game.
Oh wow, this is beautiful. What a wonderful way to transform these tracks into "melancholy." It really draws out the quiet desperation, the quiet struggle of the pieces. Yet, I could still feel the original songs tone and emotion. Bravo, bravo indeed.
The biggest compliment I can give to this album is that I was interested in only one song, "Holding my Thoughts in My Heart", and I was going to skip right to it. Now, I've just let the album keep playing on uninterrupted and totally forgot that it's not even covered here. I was quite absorbed in your playing. It's great.
+TPR I want to sincerely thank you for uploading this, FF7 was released in my birth year, I played it at a really young age and the music inspired me to become a musician when I was about 9 or 10, hearing the music now is like a massive nostalgia trip, and every tune in the soundtrack resonates with different memories I have through life. 18 years doesn't seem like much compared to people 3x my age, but it really is awesome.
This is truly incredible. I can't believe I have never heard this before, it is just a complete and total barrage of effortless invocation of my childhood memories in such a beautiful way.
By the way, I'm the same guy you responded to. I just wanted to follow up with this from the same site: Final Fantasy VII was a critical and commercial success. It received glowing reviews from most video game magazines and by 1999 the game had sold more than eight million copies worldwide, with about three million in the first 48 hours of its release."
Well done TPR, you captured the atmosphere wonderfully and delivered it in your own style, it sounds awesome. Love the game, love the music, love your tribute.
No thanks. FF7 and Crisis Core are worlds apart in the gameplay department. Having people get accustomed to CC and then throw them head long in to a more traditional RPG style would be alienating to newcomers. Should they actually remake FF7 (apart from a graphical update) I just want them to show CC's ending during the flashback in the mansion. Not only that but have the ability to go back to Zack's hometown and bring his parents the closure they need with "The Price of Freedom" playing or something.
william clinton From what I heard the codebase for FFVII was pretty abysmal and made for a difficult PC port. It's a marvelous game, the best RPG of all time, but a coding masterpiece it is not.
According to SE, FF7 is simply too large to be worth remaking. The incredible amount of time it would take to remake a game of that size with "beautiful" graphics is just absurd.
Final Fantasy 7 doesn't need a remake. That is all, if 7 was before your time that is too bad. look forward to 15 and 16 and maybe 17 if the franchise is not ruined by then. much hate to Enix.
william clinton FF7 doesn't need a remake.. There's nothing that needs to be improved upon.. I don't understand why so many people are pandering for a remake of it.... It was great during it's time and bringing it back would only ruin it... If it was before your time.. Too fucking bad.. That would be like the beatles (if most of them weren't dead as is) making a modernized remake of Abbey Street as a comeback album..
I am truly in love with what I am listening to, I think I feel even more in love because the soft melodies bring back my love for something that was and still is a highly emotional connection of FF7.
I absolutely love every one of your Final Fantasy interpretations that you have done. I just have two questions for you: 1) Is it possible that you wold ever consider doing a tribute to Xenogears? Such a masterpiece of a soundtrack by Yasunori Mitsuda, and I would love to hear your interpretation. 2) In addition to being able to buy your music, is there any place that one would be able to pick up the piano sheets? I know that the songs are not solely piano, but I would LOVE to play your version of "Let the Battles Begin!" and "Cosmo Canyon." Thank you so much for the beautiful music!
For about 2 years I have been listening to this soundtrack and the chrono trigger to study and it helps me a lot! Grateful from the bottom of my heart for this work of art.
i saw the guy above me replying you, he thinks the piano guy looks like more Loz from Advent Children than Sephiroth and i said it looks like Cid Highwind to me.
I shouldn't have to buy this music to download it. I love it. You did an amazing job on almost every single track and every cd arrangement you've done. But why are you selling it for download. I understand I can stream it for free on many stream websites and media's. But selling it is just wrong, this is NOT your music. As much as you rearrange it and mix it, it is still not your music to sell. It is wrong. That being said, great job, most tracks are beautiful and clean. But dude, don't sell someone else's hard work.
bpf0x Hi, I'm glad you like the tracks. All my tributes are legally licensed - the original rights holder gets a percentage of every sale and stream. To say that they shouldn’t be sold is like saying that Jimi Hendrix shouldn't have been allowed to sell his version of All Along the Watchtower, or Joan Jett shouldn't sell I Love Rock and Roll, or, you know, any cover version ever!
TPR hey thanks for the reply. I'm glad to hear that it's official and legally licenced. That's awesome! I've just seen so much music that is arranged and not credited correctly. I'm very glad to hear this and hope to hear more great tracks from you in the future. Once again thank you for the clarification (I tried not to sound like an a** when asking the question, and I didn't mean sarcasm when I asked if I was missing something, it was purely genuine). Anyway, love your work, it is better than most arrangements I've ever heard, would love to hear a FFvi tribute!! Thank you for your time. (also I'll probably purchase a cd or two to support you and of course my favorite composer Nobuo)
***** I take it you didn't read the thread at all and just blasted the guy without seeing his apology. Going off half-cocked is now something you are both guilty of.
***** Actually he holds the belief that he is entitled to download illegally unlicensed music being sold without proper profits going to the original artists for free, and when it was explained that this wasn't the case, he apologized and said "Hey that's great, I'll be sure to purchase it when I can!" Try harder the next time you wanna stir the pot.
6 years since my first comment on this album. Yep, this is still wonderful.
200,000 views!? Wow, I had no idea it would it get so many! A massive thanks to everyone who has given Final Heaven a listen.
No, thanks to you because you upload this. Just for your knowledge I heard this music like 3 or 5 times in a week, to work, sleep etc... Have a blessing day
I was just thinking 200,000 seemed so little!
I listen to Final Fantasy Piano music at work everyday on full blast, good stuff man. Thanks for the upload
"...thanks to everyone who has given Final Heaven a listen."... or a thousand ^^
Your music is my daily routine. I just started working today, you can count on a album purchase from me, from my first payment :)
Thank you
Thanks to everyone who gave is 'A?' listen? Does that mean I get 50 thanks for being blessed by the music of this amazing album 50 times? AWESOME!
TPR, thank you!
Dreaming and drifting and floating back to the world of Gaia... the perfect 3 A.M. soundtrack. I think for me this is truly what great RPG music is; It doesn't make me happy or sad in the same way as popular music; it simply takes me out of my life completely. It speaks of another nature, another mood, another time and place, the feelings of another universe altogether.
Couldn't have worded it any different my friend, bravo!
***** glad to know there are others out there like me.

sometimes reality is stranger then fiction
The music is this game is beautiful, haunting, iconic, and unequivocal. The music paints a much prettier picture than words can express.
Your version of The Great North Cave is legendary. It's so ominous. So much darker. So appropriate!
Great job, TPR. I've recommended this album to my students on my FB. Beautiful stuff here, and one I keep going back to.
Never would have occurred to me that JENOVA would make such an amazing slow piece.
For some reason, Final Fantasy VII music makes me better... Thanks for your beautiful music!
I commented about 8 months ago but listening to this constantly, love it man. Top stuff.
The fact that this doesn't have AT LEAST over 1 million views is so disappointing. This is a fantastic tribute to one of the best game soundtracks in the industry!
One of my "go-to" videos when I need to focus on work and need something musically good and calming - thanks!
As soon as I get paid I'm buying this album. What a work of art.
I can listen to it when I'm sad, happy, or when I'm trying to sleep. It's so amorphous, it fits into any situation. Keep up the awesome work.
The FF7 OST just begs for a melancholic tribute. Probably the darkest FF OST in the entire franchise. And by that same token, probably the best. :-)

Flowers blooming in the Church. Broken shards of an old teapot left behind glitter in the sun. Wonderful Music TPR!
The picture itself is absolutely perfect, to say nothing of the music (for which there is much to be said).
J-E-N-O-V-A (the first one) just awesome. I can imagine a movie of FF7 starting with that track. Congratulations man.
People like us, who played those games and learned how to truely love a game, will never let those masterpieces be forgotten.
this is amazing. I had people at work complain about the FF7 soundtrack, I found this instead. You have done a fantastic job playing and picking some of the best songs on the soundtrack and playing them in a very enjoyable and pleasant way. Thank you very much for being inspired and performing this piece.
People complain about the FFVII soundtrack? How?
This makes me so excited for the Final Fantasy VII remake.
Michael Prunka I have you know it only took almost 20 years for a remake of ff7!
Agreed all your album remixs are captivating

2:30 Is that the best version of the battle music I've ever heard? Why yes. Yes, it is.
Pearl Carol I was blown away after hearing it. I couldn't stop replaying it.
+Pearl Carol agreed :)
TPR has a knack for this. The rendition of the Battle Theme from FFX is breathtaking as well.

Thanks to Nobuou Uematsu for one of the best soundtracks ever created for a videogame and thanks to you for making this beautiful tribute. *applause*
should write a lot of words in praise of what you've done, but will cut it just to: this is awesome, thank you!
Hey, I'm glad you liked the album! Sheet music's a tricky one. Not all tracks would be conducive to piano sheet music (Jenova Complete, for example); however, if enough people were interested I'd see what I could do. At the moment I don't own any dedicated notation software.

This. Is. Immense.
This has made me go home, get my old PS out, and start a new game of FF7. Watch out Ruby Weapon...
Will never get tired of the soundtrack or game. After almost 17 years still the greatest game I have ever played.
Your music is soooo beautiful.
I cannot like this enough. You've taken something I love, put your own warped processes and and returned it to me, leaner and stronger than before.
This is fantastic work. Thank you for doing this and for sharing it with us.
the piano started and I nearly cried. You sir are awesome

The E3 2015 bring me back here! So excited by the remake, I will wait with this great tribute to FF7. Thanks TPR
Best vídeo !!! i love ffvii ...game of my life..since 10 years old i plaing this... best best game ever... :):):)
Absolutely gorgeous. A fitting tribute to the greatest game of all time.
Going for a job interview later. Feeling confident after this.
As the new ruler of Isengaard? I've got a good feeling about this gig, Saruman 🤞
30 seconds after it begin were enough to fav this masterwork and enjoy it with eyes closed. Amazing.

Oh wow, this is beautiful. What a wonderful way to transform these tracks into "melancholy." It really draws out the quiet desperation, the quiet struggle of the pieces. Yet, I could still feel the original songs tone and emotion. Bravo, bravo indeed.
absolutely amazing. fantastic.
My compliments. It's beautiful. It deserves as many views as there were people who played this game, So many memories.
I'm loving these melancholy albums. Is a FFVI album on the horizon?
The biggest compliment I can give to this album is that I was interested in only one song, "Holding my Thoughts in My Heart", and I was going to skip right to it. Now, I've just let the album keep playing on uninterrupted and totally forgot that it's not even covered here. I was quite absorbed in your playing. It's great.
My favorites are let the battle begin listen to the cries of the planet and aeris theme
This game will never be forgotten as long as the music lives on.
Amazing...can I actually buy a CD from this?
You can buy the soundtrack on iTunes.
The BEST game ever in my eyes, because of the music, plot and cast.... Brilliant. Thank you for putting this on!
Incredible songs, thanks from buttom of my heart
+TPR I want to sincerely thank you for uploading this, FF7 was released in my birth year, I played it at a really young age and the music inspired me to become a musician when I was about 9 or 10, hearing the music now is like a massive nostalgia trip, and every tune in the soundtrack resonates with different memories I have through life. 18 years doesn't seem like much compared to people 3x my age, but it really is awesome.
Same here man, it's cam out when I was 10 and the music inspired me to play the piano
Daily listening is required of this album.
This is truly incredible. I can't believe I have never heard this before, it is just a complete and total barrage of effortless invocation of my childhood memories in such a beautiful way.
Dem feels...
39:16 just wow
This is all so beautiful, but Ahead On Our Way is just the sweetest. Thank you.
God ain't 7 Melancholy enough?
I'm a musician and I have to tell you this - you have a very creative heart. Brilliant!
This version of desert wasteland is so good.
I agree. I cried a bit listening to it as sappy as that sounds. It's one of my favorite tracks of all time in the FF series.
That and Secret of the Sea are some of the best on here, amazing renditions
Well done TPR, you captured the atmosphere wonderfully and delivered it in your own style, it sounds awesome. Love the game, love the music, love your tribute.
This goes so well with rainymood.com
Doing that right now
This is amazing and truly beautiful / creative. Thank you so much for the work you put into this. Much appreciated!
i teared up during red xiii's theme
Yep, right at 8:43 ;)
Only a few tracks in so far..I have to say it is quite beautiful what you did here. Awesome :)
after ff15 SE needs to remake ff7 and also crisis core as one game for the ps4.
I think what I appreciate the most about this is that you cover a lot of pieces that are unjustly ignored. And they sound wonderful.
excellent! now do ff6!
Please*
Deep down inside me, there was a silver string asleep for years, maybe centuries, and i think this just woke it up and made it stir again.
The 34 who disliked were Sephiroth Clones, I bet.
Too busy heading to Reunion to listen
I am truly in love with what I am listening to, I think I feel even more in love because the soft melodies bring back my love for something that was and still is a highly emotional connection of FF7.
I absolutely love every one of your Final Fantasy interpretations that you have done. I just have two questions for you:
1) Is it possible that you wold ever consider doing a tribute to Xenogears? Such a masterpiece of a soundtrack by Yasunori Mitsuda, and I would love to hear your interpretation.
2) In addition to being able to buy your music, is there any place that one would be able to pick up the piano sheets? I know that the songs are not solely piano, but I would LOVE to play your version of "Let the Battles Begin!" and "Cosmo Canyon."
Thank you so much for the beautiful music!
For about 2 years I have been listening to this soundtrack and the chrono trigger to study and it helps me a lot! Grateful from the bottom of my heart for this work of art.
So Sephiroth cut his hair and started playing piano....
+Squall Leonhart Cid.. why not..?
What are you guys talking about? I feel more lost here than a blind guy in the middle of gunfire.
i saw the guy above me replying you, he thinks the piano guy looks like more Loz from Advent Children than Sephiroth and i said it looks like Cid Highwind to me.
Ghoul's B¡z4rre Corporation Ah, Loz.... That guy from AC....
At first I thought he misspelled "Lolz".
About the Cid part, well, he's blond so...
how do people dislike this lol i love this . . . so well done. 4 years later and here i am again O,- ty
And maybe I'm missing something like you have permission from Nobuo to sell his work or something like that. Please inform me.
bpf0x Hi,
I'm glad you like the tracks.
***** Actually he holds the belief that he is entitled to download illegally unlicensed music being sold without proper profits going to the original artists for free, and when it was explained that this wasn't the case, he apologized and said "Hey that's great, I'll be sure to purchase it when I can!"
Try harder the next time you wanna stir the pot.
Study doing my English II essay and this melody is quite delightful, could just live in my head listening to this melodic heaven.
Just downloaded from iTunes. Love final Fantasy VII, love meditating, so i'm going to meditate to this album. Thank you for your creativity.
This is ... the closest to perfection.. I am grateful.
Thank you, so much. This is AMAZING.
And soo many people can NOT appreciate this.
God, "Flowers blooming in a church" made me shed a tear, great job with this arrangement guys
I've never heard The Nightmare Begins played on the piano... it's awesome.
