How is the bobbin wound with your b38 or b37 and how is it threaded correctly? In this video tutorial, we show you how you very easily first insert the reel of thread and secure the thread guide spring washer. Next, you pull the thread into the bobbin, press the bobbin to the right and start the winding with the foot control or with the start / stop button. Then you can thread the upper thread, press the foot control and then raise the lower thread. With these step-by-step instructions, everything is very easy to understand so that you are perfectly prepared for your sewing project.
Much appreciated! I would also be very grateful for a quick video on how (and how often) to oil. Thanks again...
Hi Sally, are we right in assuming that you are sewing on a bernette 38 or 37? If this is the case, you do not have to oil your sewing machine - unless it is making a disturbing noise. If there's noise coming from the hook area of your sewing please have your BERNINA / bernette dealer service (and oil it).
Yes, I have a b37. What you say is different to what I was told (and shown) by the sales woman when I bought my machine. There was a spot inside where the bobbin goes which she said needed a drop (or so?) of oil every 10 (or so?) hours of being used. I don't remember exactly the spot, time or amount of oil, hence requesting the video. Is she incorrect?
Hi Sally, thanks for your quick feedback. We wouldn't go as far as to say your dealer is wrong. However, we maintain our official recommendation: you don't have to oil your bernette 37. We have rechecked with product management and they have confirmed that oiling is not necessary. Kind regards
Just bought a b37 and the bobbin winder is slipping, so much so that it won't wind a bobbin !
Hello Steve, we're sorry about that. Please contact your dealer who can verify your maschine.
Ausgemacht! Da ist nichts mit Tasten drücken!
What size bobbin does the b38 take please
We recommend using the bernette bobbins, which you can find on the website under accessories. Your bernette dealer will be happy to help you too.
I have a 37 and it seems a bit different than the 38 I’m so confused
The way of bobbin winding and threading for the b38 and b37 is the same. The b37 has a few buttons less, maybe that confused you. On the product page (www.bernette.com/b37) you will find the instruction manual, bobbin winding and threading is explained on page 15 - 20. We hope this will help you.
Hello. I seem to have a problem with my Bernette B38. I will be sewing fine for about an hour maybe two and for some reason the display clears and just shows the bobbin winder indicator icon and the foot pedal icon. I did not move the bobbin spool or do anything else related to winding a bobbin. Then I can't get it to resume regular stitching. I shut it off and come back the next day and it works again for about two hours and does the same thing. Do I need to get it serviced?
Thanks,
Dennis
Hello Skaterx2, yes please kindly contact your nearest dealer. He will verify your maschine.
38 brochure does not indicate how to open bobbin. Thank you for video.
