Mountain climbing is a very fun hobby, although tired but cured by the natural beauty that is passed. Greetings friends from Indonesia.

Thank you 😊 I'm really glad you approve of the change from talking head to narration. I've enjoyed writing them. I'm sure there will be more tribe adventures to come, and maybe something with you as a co-star 😉

Looked like paradise! That trip looked so relaxing and fun to play in the water! Again I really enjoy the narration. It's poetic. What an awesome memory. A trip that rejuvenates the soul. Its so enjoyable to watch the mushrooms, critters, and flowers in the video. Truly the BEST hiking content. This is my favorite hiking RUclips channel! My husband and I really look forward to your next narrated video!

Thank you both so much. I'm very flattered to hear that my channel is your favorite. There's a lot of great competition out there! This was a more fun and relaxing trip than the last several, and it was welcome change of pace. I have to remember to do that once in a while. Thanks again for taking the time to watch and share your thoughts!

Oh man, this was so epic!! It’s still so hard to believe how blessed we’ve been with some trips that happened at just the perfect time- snow @ Cumberland, snow & flowers @ Tecumseh, and now azaleas @ Gregory- and I fully expect there to be even more in the comings months and years. Great, great job on this one- I can tell how much effort you put into it because the end result was special.
From one editing-phile to another, I’ve jotted several things down that I’m grateful you captured from this trip:
-I loved your insight on the role of the bees for the azaleas on Gregory Bald (and their sound you picked up @ 0:50). They deserve a lot of credit for the beauty we got to experience!
-1:08 Your new name/channel introductions with the flashing text is tastefully well done. Also I’m extremely flattered to be called a “veteran” backpacker haha
-2:12-- love your comment relating rhodo blooms to summer snowballs- they truly are that perfect shape and color.
-My color blind deficiency totally missed this brilliant red mushroom at 3:39. Thanks for showing it to me on here!
-4:49 very cool comment relating ferns to seaweed in the waves, that fits their motion along the tops of the mountains so well.
-5:13 very cool inverted shot “among” the ferns.
-6:15 ugh your sudden black screen to Azaleas transition to showcase the sudden arrival to the top and the amazing views fits how that felt so well. It all happened so fast, it felt like a dream. Well done on that creative choice.
-Pretty much every single shot of every single azalea deserves a bullet point and time stamp haha. Truly truly magnificent.
-Love the music choice for the time at the Bald at 7:11. Pulling at my Appalachian heartstrings!
-I love the contrast of the green and the cloud cover @ 7:43. Doesn’t even look like you’re on a mountain top there.
-7:58 this has to be my favorite shot of your video. Those azaleas with those extremely white clouds in the back is truly incredible. You need to frame that shot.
-9:09 was this scene edited more wide screen than normal? I felt like I was in a movie theater, too cool!
-9:29-- very cool seeing you smile at the top of the mountain- shows yours (and our) emotions so well- the beauty just made us smile haha
-10:57 insanely cool macro shot of that millipede
-12:37 very cool shot of the shadowy treeline at camp
-A River Runs Through it Reference! Yes! 12:45
-14:00 I think my love of fist bump shots is continuing to grow. It shows the camaraderie and brotherhood so well
-15:19 the power of the water is shown very well through your audio and intimate framing of the rapids
-16:04 Did that fall hurt as much as it look like it did? 😂
-17:46 Ah cool you got shots of all three of us dunking in the cascades that’s such a neat memory you captured!!
-18:26 LOLOLOLOL You kept the fist bump-less shot= Priceless 🤣
-18:44 the ending photo of the three of us along with your closing thoughts are so well done. I may never get the chance to see those flowers again with such good company, but I am eternally grateful the three of us got to, and am hopeful I/we will again in the future.
-Dude you hands down win the award for funniest bloopers. I was crying watching them all, from Nick’s fall to the “Blooper” audio bit. Don’t ever leave them out, they’re too good!
I could keep going, but trust me when I say I’m constantly impressed and inspired by your work. You make me want to continue to be a better creator and backpacker. Thanks for your friendship and inspiration. Till the next adventure! 🍺🍺

Thanks for another detailed response! I really appreciate the feedback. You're right about the timing we've had on our trips this year. I almost can't believe it. And I can't wait to see what else we get ourselves into on future trips. Speaking of, I'm already getting antsy for another one...
I'm glad to hear that you picked up on some of the small details, like the buzzing of the bees and the conversation about A River Runs Through It (I was pumped when I found out that I had that on video!).
I noticed that we both introduced the cast in a similar way, haha. But no one can say we copied one another when our videos came out on the same day!
You might have missed the red mushroom because it was actually shot at the very end while you were shooting something else...
About the wide screen: I used a 2.35:1 aspect ratio for the whole video. And now that I've told you, I bet you'll notice the black bars 😉 I liked how the wider aspect ratio made the mountaintop shots look even bigger and more open. Then I decided to keep it going for the rest of the video. It helped cover up some problems, like shakiness and bad framing.
I almost didn't even include your favorite shot! I like it, but I was afraid it was ruined by heat distortion. Now I'm really glad I included it, and I'm wondering if I should have included some of the other shots that I thought were ruined. Maybe they'll find themselves into another video one day! Thanks for pointing that one out.
I have an idea for an interesting fist bump shot on our next trip. Don't let me forget! And yeah, the fist bump fail made it in 😂 I figured we'd be the only ones to notice it, hahaha.
I'm glad you liked the bloopers, haha. I think this was my best blooper reel. And weirdly enough, falling on my butt didn't hurt at all. I was more surprised by that than by the fall itself.
I'm grateful for the kind stranger who sent me the photo I used at the end. It really pulled the video together.
And I'm also grateful for this experience the three of us shared, and for your friendship and inspiration. I can't wait to see your take on this trip, and Nick's too! Let's do it again! 🍻
