Great video Travis; thank you! You were funny when you said that there was beer in the car, I feel like we didn't get to see enough of you this summer, we really appreciate all of them!! Thank you
Looks like a fun time! Nothing wrong with a day at a lake. To me the Wind River Range is the purest backpacker’s playground with limitless options. I am working on footage from the Winds now and popped over for some inspiration
As were coming driving to the trailhead for this trip, I was amazed at how many trailheads we passed in getting to this one! The Winds are vast and spectacular! I can't wait to get back!
Great video! I've been hiking and fishing the high country, throughout the west, for 42 years, and I've visited that basin more than any other. I usually make a trip up to Island Lake, as well......The 'Cutt's there are very picky. Need to go again and catch my first Tiger Trout out of Upper Silas.
Gorgeous lake you camped at! Looks like it had some tiger trouts for your trout cakes! Two nights goes by so fast! Island Lake was really nice! Looks like a fun trip!
Trout Cakes for the win! Will be trying these very soon. Knives and Dice heck yeah! (knives and dice....there's the name of your new song...its about Doc Holliday) . Dude the crazy eyes about the beer in the car was hilarious. Those are the eyes of a man who has been or maybe hasn't been in the woods to long. Good video Trav!
@mountainwanderer Have a final trip planned with Bindal Bag and Logan ,and we plan on catching some fish and making some. Well actually Joe will catch fish, and I will just cast into the water and hope I catch something. Lol!
Thanks for more of the Wyoming scenery...and the fishing was a bonus! But where's the pack animals y'all haul all those groceries into the backcountry with😉? And I know it ain't the pups! Sure wished they shipped that Radio Brewing beer back east 🍻
That music at the beginning gets me every time. I never woulda though music could be used over and over again, but once the music from your videos gets in my head, makes me think of being in the mountains nearly all day sometimes. Love it! What a gorgeous area. Those woods look perfect for hammock camping. And nothing beats the smell of pine branches on a campfire.
I add a few songs to the library every year, but I only have so many to choose from! Those woods were perfect for hammock camping! Almost hang anywhere!
@@mountainwanderer I was pleasantly surprise on my last trip (Silver Lake). Had a chance to strol around more and found several suitable spots. Only 3 other parties stayed the night up there and they all had tents. Thinking mid-week would be really nice.
There is a trail to Lower Silas; it branches off the same trail that takws you to Upper Silas. Turnoff to lower is well worn; downhill from maintrail but there is no sign. It is right before you cross the stream.
I was at Upper Silas a year ago on Sept 30. It stormed all night on me and eventually turned to snow. I decided to leave the next day. Forecast didn't look much better. Didn't have 4 season gear. I probably would've been fine. Didn't get to fish either😢 Happy you had fun. Love your RUclips stuff!
Dam man. Another superb production. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Outstanding campsite and some well deserved dry weather. Those trout cakes look amazing. Great video Travis!
Thanks, Bryan! That campsite was one of the best of the year!
I really look forward to these videos!!
I really appreciate you taking the time to check them out!

It's been a weird season for me, but the hiking is not done yet!
Yes, that looked like an excellent campsite on the lake. Enjoyed the video, thanks for posting.
The lake actually had quite a bit of traffic, but since our campsite was up on a bench and away from things, we didn't see anyone!
The name of the stream is Silas Creek; it empties out of upper Silas lake and runs along the trail to your right as you are hiking to Upper Silas.

Looks very nice Travis. Didn't get out this year. Thank you for taking us along the adventure trail.
That is too bad. You'll have to fix that next year!

That was really cool country! I hope that I can get back there again!

We didn't keep that Tiger trout and that was the last one he caught. What a beautiful fish though!
@@mountainwandererTigers are beautiful! They are tasty too!
Man, that was beautiful.
Thank you! Thanks for checking it out!
Great video Travis. It would have been great if Josh and I could’ve joined you both.
Hey Mike! I wish you guys would've come along! The hike in there after coming out of Wilson Creek was pretty tough!
Very beautiful nature
Indeed! Thanks for watching!
Outstanding, Thanks
Thanks for checking it out!

I have to thank Joey for bringing the english muffins. We've been rocking them all summer!

From the lake to the fire is the only way to have fish for me!

We were the pack animals that hauled it back there! 😂 With any luck, Radio Beer will be shipping around the country at some point!
@@mountainwanderer Figgered as much, just wanted to make sure😁

Mid-week is always a good bet if you can do it!
Oh man! Fresh wilderness trout cooked over an open fire. Now there’s a tasty meal. Another great adventure. Thanks Travis!✌️
From the lake to the fire is about the only way I like to have fish!
Pretty fish. Short but sweet trip, yessir.
I had never see that type of fish before, it was pretty cool!

Beautiful fish. Looks like an amazing area there. I dig the voiceover and music. Thanks for sharing.
I had never seen one of those fish before! A first for me! Thanks for checking it out!
You guys have it down!
It's not for a lack to trying! 😂

I bet that it looked a little extra beautiful with some snow on it!
❤❤
🤘
What a beautiful area and some fish too. No Timber? Thanks for another outstanding video and take care, Al
No, Timber had other obligations that he needed to attend to.
I'm only here for the trout cakes 🥸
That makes both of us! 🐟🎂🔥
Oh, there is that dark coated dog again.
Yep! He keeps showing up!
Did you see Charleton Heston or Brian Keith there at Popo Agie?
I must've just missed them
