Great video. I just got the light to fit in my small NutSac edc.The specs also say the light will run on 10440 lithium battery and be brighter. What are your thoughts on that? Thx
Good stuff! I would say that if you plan on having it in your edc it would be worth purchasing because of the value it will give to you in terms of output and runtimes, but I would suggest trying the light out for a couple of weeks to make sure that you want/need that extra power!
The previous i3T also run on 10440 just not recomended. The high there is brighter. Some measured 500l while the i3T2 has 300l. That is no real benefit to 200l with the AA. And low is also 5l so its kind of pointless. I like that the low on the old i3T with the 10440 is rather a medium what I miss on the i3T. Actually I dont need the high 180/200 lumen for such an edc. Would be nice if they would offer a mode change for a lower high like 80 lumen or so.
Hey, yeah sorry if I didn't make that point clear, I knew that half-pressing it 5 times and then holding on the fifth changes the default, the inconsistency comes because many times I would do that sequence and it would not change the default setting, the UI was not my favorite and that was a reason why
I now realise you were right actually but i don’t find the 5 half press difficult better than 9 full press i think sometimes it doesn’t work if you don’t wait long enough in between attempts
Thank you for the review. You only need to use the sequence you found hard just once in your lifetime or never. Half of flashlight users want H-L UI, other half the L-H. With this addition they can satisfy both populations.
Mode change is straightforward. The low mode on this light is weaker than on the i3T EOS. This is even with the 10440. Disappointing. The high mode on the i3T EOS isn’t quite as bright at the v2 but not far off. I’d stick with the i3T. The v2 is not motivating me to upgrade.
They should made a magnetic tail AA and AAA. in the past AA came in 2 variants, i owned both. S15 and S1A i think.
Finally they add extra o rings

@@LonghornTactical Thx. I also like that I can charge the lithium batteries as well. Got a nitecore charger coming.
THIS LIGHT IS BEST FOR BACKUP LIGHT IN YOUR EDC POUCH
Olight just sent me one of these for free as a St. Patrick's Day gift. It's black with a single 3 leaf clover design on it. Total surprise.
I don't see any 10440 batteries on your website
Put the flash lights with a white background, cant see them, its all blacked out!
Turn up your brightness or get out of the sun.

Half clicking 5 times is only for making high mode the default that is why it is inconsistent for you

@@roylerroycerickson The 5-click sequence is janky AH and doesn't work 90% of the time.
You didn't mention the most important feature of the I3T 2 EOS...it can use the more powerful 10440 lithium ion battery!
See 1:44.
Did you watch the video??
