Round bale wrapper for long term storage

Building a barn for round bales is out of the question this year. We need storage now. A round bale wrapper will preserve the hay for long term use long past winter. The kinks are worked out and all the second cutting hay is wrapped.

For us the dealer is an hour drive, gas and lunch. I like it when things just show up at my door so ithat I can keep working on other things. The price is almost the same.

Need to raise the roll up. It’s to low that’s why it catches end roller. You need a bale hugger for moving wrapped bales. Wrapped bales should also be stored on end. There is more layers on the ends. What I’ve learned from wrapping hundreds every year.

Did you plant corm this year? I can't decide whether to chop for silage or Ear corn. We had to replant all our corn crop this year as a (Possible Tornado) came through this spring?

The cows here really like any kind of silage. On the other hand feeding ground ear corn makes nice feed for all our livestock. It really depends on your needs as we never buy in feed. Replanting really lost you some growing or finishing days. I hope it was not too late and before the fuel went up.

Does the hay have any moisture or mold when you unwrap the hay? Looking to get some wrapped to use for later as square bales.

Any remaining moisture in the hay even when wrapped very dry condenses to the plastic. The outside 1/8 inch is always damp and the rest is always perfect.

Thanks for getting back. We are looking how to store round bales since we don't have storage. We rebale our rounds into square bales in the winter so the least waste the better for us.
