Calf raises also help a lot when you deal with shin splints! I had them pretty severe during soccer season and variations of that exercise helped tremendously!
I’m impressed that you’ve still got so much bounce after tearing up your knee, Rebekah. I remember when your Barbie girl FX routine showed up in my recommended videos a few years ago. First time I watched your performance my first thought was that this was one of the neatest, most innovative floor routines I’d seen in a long while (college floor routines are so much more interesting than most elite routines, IMO. 😊) My second thought was what the heck is up with that giant, gnarly knee brace? So I gave your wiki page a peep & read about your Injury history. Competing that routine on a twice shredded ACL (with a side of ripped meniscus!) must have been beastly. I’m very glad & very impressed that you came back from that ordeal & regained your bounce. I’m a 51-year-old former rec gymnast, hooper & power-lifter whose dreams always exceeded my talent. I’m presently staring down the barrel of reconstructive ankle surgery, shoulder/neck surgery & possible back & knee surgery. Plus my dad may need one of my kidneys. My athletic dreams always exceeded my talent but there was a time in my youth when I could dunk a basketball on a really good day & throw a Yurchenko-style vault. I never did fancier than a basic tucked salto-Like I said, I was just a rec gymnast 🙂. I was always very proud of my vertical leaping prowess. These days I struggle to make it to the 7-11 on the corner. There are days when I feel pretty hopeless. Watching you train some on your twice rebuilt knee does raise my spirits up, though. I’m under no illusion that I’ll be able to turn the clock back 25 or 30 years. There aren’t a lot of five-foot-nine fifty-something dunkers in this cruel world or ours, bur your vids help remind me that getting through to the other side IS possible, and maybe I’ll even get a little of my old bounce back. For that I thank you, Rebekah Bean Ripley. 🙂👍
I'm incredibly grateful for all the support and guidance you've provided. Your lessons have made a world of difference for my 7-year-old daughter - she's subscribed and so am I! Your teaching has really helped improve her jumps, and we're both so thankful. It's amazing that she can watch your videos and then apply what she's learned during her training. Thank you again for everything.
Great for stretching But to put on muscle Try moonwalking while dragging weights. Worked at a hotel that needed 200 chairs stacked in piles of eight Moved almost daily. My calfs where poppin

Good luck in your journey! What the mind believes, the body achieves :)
You know you could have sent this message to her? It's not something anyone else wants to read...
Definitely make part 2! I’m helping my partner, and I use to do gymnastics, so I can jump really high but she doesn’t know how
