Great video Warren really enjoy your commentary and watching you troubleshoot the equipment problems and fix them 👍 Josey is a cute little helper stay safe Warren.
Favorite part is when you hear the engine running louder and the subtitles say “Music” yes it is, music to my ears hahahahh. Thank you again Warren! Definitely interesting hearing/learning about the pumice mine!
Worked HD mech. in a pulp mill and and also highways maintenance for forty plus years. Watching you chase down hydraulic leaks and Detroit no starts in similar conditions make me long for the past! Keep up the great videos!
Warren the pup is so cute, I would be hard pressed staying focused on getting the work done. Also...there are moments when I think you should be doing a stand-up gig on being a mechanic. I kid you not when you get on a role I find myself laughing out loud. Thanks for taking us along.
Somebody's feelings should be tenderized by letting the oil get that low. As far as the return line, we'll that is true "Rocket Science". You just can't make some of Warren's stuff up! Operators with room temperature I.Q. apply here.⚡
I worked one of them bucket loaders here in Sussex for a while, I enjoyed the ride around remembering how much fun it was to operate at the time. No doubt the hydraulic leak's where a contributory factor to the belt slipping I heard when you started this one up. You Know your going to end up loosing that hold down bracket yourself don't you.....Puppies are soooo much fun, thanks for sharing
Hi Warren, great video. Watching you with the trouble shooting that you do remains me of alot the trouble shotting on the john deere equipment that I work on.
Hey there Warren ! Today was a very comical day in your repair...thanks for sharing everything you do. And sharing your precious little Josie ! You are so accomplished in your line of work that words can not express our admiration for your extreme knowledge ! My husband knows a lot about what you are doing but he swears that you are the smartest mechanic he has ever seen or talked to ! He says you're a genius! Keep up the great videos and we'll see you soon !
Hey Warren, back at the gypsum quarry huh. Sure could be dangerous working that far out by yourself. Happy Mother’s Day to your wife Warren. Thanks for sharing your video.
HI Warren, I just wanted to give you a shout out to say thanks!! It's been a little over a year since I quit the shop life and went out on my own for independent full time road service. A big part of the inspiration to make the jump was watching your channel. I'm now working only on what I want (no employee hassles of working for someone else), enjoy life much more and make at least as much money. A nice bonus is no OEM warranty crap to deal with - getting approval to do things or fighting over how much labor the job is worth.
Thank you Warren for a refreshing dip in the reality pool. Little Josey sure is cute. I have a blue male that is a big lunk head but he is my lunk head and I love him to pieces.
Thank you for the video Warren, especially with the entertainment playing around with Josey, I must admit I had to laugh and I thought I was bad for doing that with the farm dog's. 👍
Hey Warren, another great video. Trying to catch up on some of your older videos also. Favorite channel on the tube. Big fan from NZ 🇳🇿 love how you keep it honest and can't believe the reman and emissions bullshit ya have to put up. C15 all day in my old Kenworth 👍
I don’t kiss anyones ass but your ingenuity never ceases to amaze me. You do a brilliant job with what you have to work with. Could do with you over here in England!!
Working in a warm heated workshop is so easy compared to what you do. This is a tough job, dirty, lonely, cold, with snow and sleet. This is hard work. I admire you.
That paccar deal stinks. Spot on with the rant as far as I am concerned. Oil, who needs oil? Anti freeze, nothing can freeze if it don’t have coolant/ water/ or a mix of all the mentioned fluids. My goodness, those machines need help, and the right guy showed up to help. Thanks for the ride along young man.
Good to see how much Josie affects your outlook. Little ones like that can't help but improve ones mood. Also, can not believe the crap weather you have to deal with. You should include a nuisance fee for that stuff!
Hi Warren Attach some elastic strap on the rag then tie the strap to somewhere near were your working so the pup can play , pulling it back. But still being close to you. Great looking dog.
I can only imagine that pins and bushing on everything in that pit wears out fast. My little experience with pumice is that it is very sharp and abrasive.
Basically like having your home flood and the insurance pays to fix the broken pipe. "sorry we don't cover progressive damage, you'll have to repair the flood damage on your own."
Your fit buddy! That brisk walk between those tractors would have seen 9/10ths of my youtube guys in a Coronary. Most can't walk from one end of a vehicle to the other without puffing their insides out for five minutes.
Thanks Warren for sharing the service call to the pumice mine. Is that the same loader you had to rebuild the top end on last year? I do like your handling of those tight hose nuts with the impact gun. Sure wish there was a way to pressure wash some of that field equipment to get the crap off to see where the leaks are located. I did see an unconventional idea a guy in Canada use was the old 1 qt. spray paint gun and he bought a 5 gallon can of mineral spirits to use as a solvent washer to clean areas off. Might save you some time in finding leaks and keeping the dirt out of the repair area. Long term might be cheaper than brake clean cases. Just a thought... Thanks for sharing and Josie looks like she is bonding to you well, it is the early time with them sets their behavior long term.
Not wanting to pay for damages when they sold an engine that was defective reminds me of a case where a remanufactured engine snapped the crankshaft between the back rod journal and the rear main bearing. It shattered the transmission pump, broke the collar off the torque converter, bent the input shaft and cracked the transmission case. That was just what you could see without tearing down the transmission. The parts store was willing to replace the engine but making them replace the transmission required a letter from a lawyer which convinced them that it was cheaper to do the right thing than to fight it.
@@westerntruckandtractorrepa1353 good deal. Glad you got that worked out. Better off without partners in business. It so often works out bad. Looking forward to the next video.
If I had someone coming to look at a machine, the least I'd do is make sure it has bloody oil in the engine and juice in the battery! Not to mention parked properly, fuel in the tank, etc. It's amazing how inconsiderate some people are to the mechanic sometimes.

Hi Warren, have you ever thought about setting up a hydraulic hose press in your truck? I’ve got a gates mobile crimp in mine. It dose it up a lot of space but it’s totally worth it in my opinion
Warren, I am a young mechanic, although I have to be honest and tell you I walked away from working on diesel to working inside as a maintenance mechanic for the Hershey company. Best decision I ever made in my life. No more junk to worry about. No more know it all customers. No more removing 50 pounds of shit and electronics to diagnose and replace a part. No more chasing electrical problems on someone else’s junk. I got so stressed and tried of all the daily nonsense that comes along with being a mechanic, I don’t know if I’ll ever work on diesel again. I’m so burnt out from the last two years of crap with this pandemic, I’m just glad to be where I’m at. Keep doing what you’re doing warren, I can definitely speak from experience and say that you are the last of a dying breed.
Not everybody is cut out to work in the field just like some hate being inside all the time. I speak for myself I hated being in a factor not the work just being inside. Worked outside most of my life even though I had a shop to work out of.
You never seem to get discouraged, no matter how greasy, oily or Muddy the equipment you have to work on is! That pumice company should be freaking at the shape of that poorly maintained equipment.... They'd be very wise to have you on a retainer to visit that site bi-weekly, if only to check OIL LEVELS!
For what it is worth Deere will usually pay associated parts damage on dealer installed parts. Funny part is most all the good mechanics that actually really know what they are doing are independents because the dealers won't pay enough to keep the good guys around or they get tired of getting shafted having to be the ones constantly on call and going to fix everybody elses fuck ups.
Hey warren have you ever tried to jump a piece of equipment using your welder? I do it all the time works great set to wire mode (cv)and set the voltage to whatever setting you need for the machine (12v or 24) usually cranks them over right away. And you usually have 100' of "jumper cables".
have you ever set up your cam so you can operate machine then review footage to see leaks?it helps me when im working on stuff by myself .didnt think of it for a long time though, lol
Isn’t there a mobile hose making service where your at? Or won’t they travel out in to the sticks? Seems desolate up that mountain, with that pumice mine. Keep safe out there!!
