If you are into bass I have 2 more bass tutorials that may help; Mixing perfect low end in 5 minutes: ruclips.net/video/_hr9bSYqmDo/видео.html 6 SYNTH BASS TYPES every producer should know: ruclips.net/video/XdDcp61NaZY/видео.html
Top class tutorial right here. It's not only amateurs who make these mistakes btw. I mix for producers and the number of times i have to add a sub is insane.
After every new video i think wow now Yalcin has covered everything there is, then he comes with a new one and i'm like fuck yeah exactly what i was waiting for
Fantastic again, the simplicity of explaining the detailed approach is way beyond any other channel on RUclips. These tutorials give such an increase in enjoyment in producing rather than finding it a slog to learn slowly. Thank you.
Top class content! That third tip about velocity is something I had been wondering for quite some time, and it was really eye-opening to learn it. Thanks for the tips Yelcin!
Top quality tutorial, as always :) I have a request maybe for another tutorial. I noticed that in terms of gain I can compete with the industry standard but I'm lacking the stereo fullness or richness. I tried layering and everything but sometimes the sounds lose their original character when you overdo it with the stereo layering ( btw this would be also a good topic, ben böhmer is a master in layering imo) So it would be nice to show some options or techniques to improve the stereo image like delays and reverbs.
I look forward to your videos every week, This was great. So many little things that make a huge difference. You're such a good teacher as well. Thank once again. Best wishes!
Great tutorial as always Yalcin. How about a tut on general levels and gain staging? I don't remember if you already have done one but I have noticed on this vid that your bass is at -13 dB and it already sounds massive. I normally put my basses around -6dB and add little saturation and comp to make them cut through the mix. What would be your best advice at leveling?
i just randomly remembered a song i found through you. dont know what video it was. all i remember is i thought the main synth of the track sounded very 'Lorn'. finally found the track. its Stephan Jolk - Cylon. thanks for introducing me to so much music. im pretty new to modern techno you know? for the longest time i had the wrong idea of what modern techno is. i thought its the same untsch untsch untsch stuff i knew from the '00 era. thank you. have a good night, cheers from germany by the way :')
Dude! As always Phenomanal! Thank you so much! I should just call my upcoming album "Yalcin" at this point, due to so many tricks and tips I've been utilizing after watching your videos! The only thing that is stopping me from calling it this way - people might think that I'm talking about Boris Yalcin. ;)
Where do you learn all these amazing techniques? ... Since I know your channel, my producing has gone through the roof ... stuff I could not figure out in years you just demonstrate in a minute ... it is insane. With your tutorials one can just make a reasonably sounding track from scratch in an hour ...
hocam can you make a video about that wide melodic techno bass, kinda like reese bass but more on the background, still huge sounding and actually feels like it tells a story on its own.. i couldnt explain it well enough but some afterlife tracks and stephan bodzin and also guys like dyzen uses them alot and how to achieve them growl and bite hard.. im stuck trying :(
hey man thanks for those amazing quickies you make, its super inspiring! Do you know how i can make any bass sound DEEP? I get a lot of remixes in a fixed root note, and a lot of times in A minor. Because of commercial vocals i cant really pitch the vocal down, so i have to stay in A for example. A super low A (A-0) sounds fluffy, and an octave higher sound too high...Do you know what i mean? I need it to sound deep but not like prrr prrr prrr, you know? This has been bugging me like foreverrrrr

well, do your speakers have the frequency range for deep frequencies?
replace the kick, and get one with sine sweep to lower frequency, but with audible middle frequency which is in A. (Kick 2 for example can do it)
🙌🙌🙌❤
Yalcin you are the gold. U know that, right? :D
Awwwww, thanks a million Tim! ❤🎶✨
Get the Soundforce DCO and System 80. Software will go in the bin after your ears explode with raw power
