  • As runners it is important to work the core and glutes together in a coordinated fashion. Injuries such as plantar fasciitis, shin splints and runner’s knee can often be lead back to weak core and glutes.
    This exercise addresses your core along with your hip abduction, hip external rotation and hip extension (all actions of the glutes).
    Your hip can hyperextend ten degrees with bent legs and twenty degrees with straight legs, so it is ideal to include both to work every aspect of the glute.
    This exercise is essential as a foundation to all running!
