Just had this and really enjoyed it. As you say Brewdog always put out a good stout. Could well be Layer cake rebranded although this is jammier from my recollection of layer cake and I think that was around 7%. They need to bring back rollercoaster now. Although I have to say I didn’t actually mind the double wingman that I tried this week too. Both much better than what they have been putting out the last few years without being amazing. Have a good weekend Chris
@@ChrissBeerReviews funniest part of that was my welsh side coming out, when tapping my card I not so and quietly and in a broad valleys accent proclaimed them to be “Robbin’ bastards”, two other welshmen cheered.
Poured an almost black colour with a short-lived frothy, light brown head. The aroma is light roasty malt, strawberry, vanilla ice cream. In the flavour is a hint of chocolate behind sweet, with a smooth, candy strawberry, vanilla milkshake, marshmallow palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation. Nice elements to it, but it feels synthetic and not super balanced.
The livery is identical to layer cake so why change the name, they've got a hit rate of maybe one in five for me with their endless output of IPAS but I agree with you Chris when it comes to stouts their pretty decent.
Looks great Chris, great review. I will pick it up!
Thank you
Roaster coaster was top stuff
It was fantastic

Cheers Steve. Enjoy your weekend
Gonna give this one a try very soon.
……I quite like it too.
Sounds really interesting, i do like a stout……although I’ve still not gotten over paying £8 for a Camden stout at Peter Kay’s gig in the O2
Always great to bump into my favourite scrooge on other subs 🤣🤣🤣
8 quid for a Camden Stout! That should be illegal!

I think they may actually sell more if they kept with Layer Cake name
I'm sure I've heard of this name of brew before 🤔
Yep
