  • Zephyr 1100, overworked, a bit tuned...very nice piece of bulletproof Japanese engineering from early nineties. Good overall performance in old form - Z1 look.

    Beautiful bike. I was looking into the zrx when I came across this beautiful and more sleek looking brother. This actually looks so much like new z900rs.

      I had both, still have 3 ZRX`s. Renewed, rebuilt, one of them is a performance monster (1200, most likely not for sale, my personal bike). I prefer ZRX to zephyr and Z900RS. Much more powerful, and with right upgrades so fun to ride. You can never ride so fast with zephyr, and zephyr is a bit underpowered IMO. If you want performance with retro 80`s looks, go for ZRX, if you want a sport tourer with retro 70`s look go for Zephyr. If you are mechanically uneducated and not interested to do so, go for Z900RS, turn the key and ride...These older bikes are the last mechanical gems with carburetors, old style ignition, etc,etc. You can maintain them by yourself and keep them in top condition...and these are disappearing fast, so they are far more exclusive.
      I am located in Slovenia, Europe and will have a performance ZRX 1100 (completely rebuilt, renewed) for sale in a few months...

    Is the Zephyr reliable for daily use? Would you buy it again today?

      For sure! These engine are known to make 100k miles with no problems, if maintained good. Of course, you should get a good condition bike to be reliable in a first place.

    Never liked the look of 4 into 1 exhausts on modern classics. The left side looks too bare. 4 into 2 or 4 into 4 give better aesthetics IMO. WFH

      @@klemens.7561 Ja ja, različni stili. Moči je dovolj, point tega motorja je kruzanje po jadranki z jet čelado ne pa dirkanje. Za Z1 stil itak 4-4 samo so ful dragi. Meni pa je še bolj všeč japonska custom scena, zato Moriwaki, ker je nekaj posebnega. Taka bombica aluminijasta :)
