I'm surprised you guys didn't visit the Harry Potter-esque area on the western part of the park! Also quite unlucky with that flooding - on the day it hit I was in an unaffected area of the city, though the bus traffic was understandably horrendous because of it. Glad you liked all the neat statues and stuff despite how bleak that time of the year is!

В начале видео здание справа было изначально областным горкомом КПСС, после обретения независимости в сентиментальном порыве отдали его музыкальному училищю(под лозунгом всё лучшее - детям)Через 10 лет чинуши решили, что погорячились(жирно детям такое солидное здание в центре) и теперь там находится областной суд. Старое здание училища, тоже находящееся в центре города, к тому времени перешло в частную собственность, в следствии чего 20 лет Карагандинский колледж искусств (как теперь называется Музыкальное училище) мыкался по разным арендуемым зданиям, сменив их 4 штуки ныне находится на окраине города.

Karagandy is pretty small city. Almost nothing to do there, but for some reasons, i don`t know why - i really enjoy to be there (rarely, but happens). There is an special vibe - i cannot explain it)

Unfortunately, some establishments do not have a menu in English, but they do not have one in Kazakh either. Almost everywhere it is in Russian. Especially in large cities.

Have to mention that Karaganda is biggest IT city in Kazakhstan even though it doesn't look like this. ALL major IT products used outside of Kazakhstan are created here, while not being supported by government like Astana and isn't as big as Almaty. So yeah, it is not the best city to work at as a developer, but the best one to find actual great founders.
Came back later by winter, Christmas. Karagandy looks much comfortable and so atmospheric in winter. I guarantee you, this city feels warmer in summer and winter 😊
What age of the video? Looks like it 10+ years old. Karaganda is not similar like you shown on your vid :) Make another trip at summer and you'll see much more changes. I'm living in Karaganda.
19:46 this is not Soviet Mosaic 😂 It was painted relatively recently, in 2010s maybe. You can see facing tiles under the paint layer. And Roller Coaster is also modern. We didn't have rides like this in Soviet times. I like you came this time of year when the park and city itself look desolated and creepy with dead-like trees and cloudy sky. But it has its own charm. The city would look prettier at summer or early autumn.

Oh you were in old part of Karaganda. Karaganda is very big😂 you were in Center. There is also South-East area, Maikuduk area and Prishakhtinsk area. Which are twice as big as Center each. So by EU and UK standarts our city is not that big populationwise, but territory is enormous by UK and EU standarts. I think our city alone is bigger than some of your county. For example Karaganda Region alone is same size as France😂
