Out of these 2 I would go for the RacingVision because of the build quality. My personal favorite are Philips WhiteVision, because of the very good visibility they offer, but also 'cause of the more stylish look they give to the car, having a colder light color.
Thanks for the reply. I've been using White Vision for 2 years and they still work fine for me. I probably go with another White Vision since the lifespan for Racing Vision and NB Laser are quite low compare to White Vision.
I just bought Osram Night Breaker Laser. Its price is half of Philips Racing vision. Still not tried, but from your review i was satisfied with this bulb
Installed the Racing Vision H7 bulbs in my Golf VII a couple of weeks ago and to be honest I am not that impressed by them. They don't seem to be an improvement over the the Phillips White vision that I was using. It was particularly the range that I was hoping would be better with the Racing Vision, yet I am hardly noticing any difference, sure they look a bit brighter, but the difference in beam length seems negligible. I'm not sure how much the headlamp reflector design is a factor, maybe the Golf just has bad headlights, I had the Golf VI and IV prior to the VII and they both also had crap headlights. Anyway I just got a set of the Osram Laser so I will install these at the weekend to see if they are any better. p.s. Good work with all the videos
Hey! Sorry to see you are disappointed. Maybe you had great expectation from them. I must admit the price is really high. At least you can be glad you have the best quality build car halogen. The OSRAM NB Laser won't be different from the Phillips RacingVision. Just their light will be slightly whiter; other than that you will hardly notice a difference from one another. Thank you for your appreciation and support. I try my best.
These are hugely useful videos, thanks for the time and effort in making them. I've held off replacing the H7's (high beams, lows are HID) until now and while I prefer Philips as a brand, the Osram Lasers are definitely brighter and a better buy assuming bulb life is comparable. I consider the color temp a wash based on what I see here, the difference borders on insignificant. And - a plug for Powerbulbs here - their prices and service are topnotch. I prefer them over the North American sources for these aftermrket bulbs overall.
I take back my comment about the color temp. After watching this vid a few more times I see that the Osram consistently has a whiter light. Can't wait to get them in my car as I have many miles of night time highway driving i=n the next few months. Halogen bulbs are still hanging in there in an application like mine.
Hey there. I am glad you like the videos. I try my best. indeed the OSRAM are very good, yet still they are no match for the xenon cold color or brightness. But even so they are far better than standard halogens, so it worths the upgrade and money spent, as long as yuo drive on good roads and try to increase their lifespans as long as possible.
That is true, although I also have a BMW with Bi-Xenons that are pretty disappointing on both low and high beams. I definitely prefer the combination of HID/Halogen in a Merc as described above. The Osram NBL's showed up on my doorstep today...I'm excited to try them out.
How did you find the Osram NBL? Atm I have Phiilips Extreme Vision 130% and I drive mainly at night as well (highway) since I work night shift. I'm planning on upgrading and I'm looking at the Racing Vision and NBL. On this video, the NBL do look like they output more light but it can be a camera setting. I drive a Peugeot 308 with reflector headlights.
They are both really identical in light color and brightness. And both have a less lifespan than the previous generations. unfortunately 1 bulb of Philips RacingVision last me only 6 months. So that was a real minus for them. Feel free to get whichever you want. personally, if I were to invest in halogens, i would get Philips WhiteVision; they are colder in light and last 3 or 4 times more.
In some areas of the road yes. But on the beam length the Philips win. It also has to do with the fact OSRAM have 3750K while Philips have "managed" again to produce a warmer bulb than OSRAM, God knows why, bringing down the color temp to 3400 -3700k max.
Probably because if they increase the kelvins, the lumens are sacrificed. And as Philips say, they want to have good performance at bad weather conditions. When it's raining, the whiter the beam, the worst you see the road
Dinello K Thank you for your info. Just keep in mind the H4 fitting tends to have more kelvin that the H7, at least that is the case for OSRAM Night Breaker Unlimited; the H7 is rated at 3600k while the H4 at 3900k. So it can be the case of Philips as well, with 3400k for the H7 and an average of 3500k for the H4.
Salut. Iti multumesc. Clar Philips.
Hi.. I have a VW PASSAT CC and i have put DECTANE HEADLIGHTS so now it have and projector. I try HID but it have black shadow in the road so i use again Halogen H7 crystal vision. The light is good but i want something better. I don't know what to buy. Philips or osram and what? It's for projector... Thank you.
Hello. If you are looking for the xenon effect and good brightness out of a halogen, you will not get it. You will not find that, because the 5000k halogens which offer that look, are very bad on the brightness side on the road. All the street legal and bright enough halogens have yellowish warm light. Some warmer some cooler than a standard bulb, but they cannot be compared to xenon. If I were you I would go for Philips WhiteVision, but again, don't expect them to be like xenon, because you'll be disappointed.
m3rovingian thanks you for your answer. I don't want to be like xenon I know this is not happen with halogen. My headlight don't work with xenon cause the projector. I order the osram night breaker laser H7 to test it. I hope to be better form crystal vision.. thanks again.
thanks for the effort, really helps everyone out. i also have the white vision for almost a year now and was leaning towards the NBL not long ago. any chance to do one on the PIAA XTRA XTREME WHITE PLUS,they seem road legal and very white.
Which one would be wiser for a motorcycle? Because it is also vital for us bikers to be seen during the day by other drivers. Which one performs better in daylight in terms of being seen?
They are really in the same tier. Get Philips RacingVision if you care for the build quality and want a very long light beam. Their light is a bit warmer than the OSRAM Laser which are very good as well, have a tiny bit colder look and are cheaper that Philips and also have 50 hours more lifespan. It's up for you to decide. I gave you the footages :).
get both, one pair in reserve and all is fine :D i'm using the osram laser, because everything else is from osram in my car, and... there is really no big difference in luminance! thx for your work!
mogojan ciprian Teoretic, OSRAM.
Hi, I have seen many of your tests, nice. Have you experience with car bulb GE Megalight Ultra +120 or Bosch Gigalight Plus 120 (Bosch claims that its bulbs are filled also with pure xenon gas like in Osram NB laser), are there similar with power with Osram NB laser or Philips RacingVision? We have talked together that you have not tried LED bulbs that fit to standard halogen sockets (H4, H7, ...) like Philips Ultinon LED or other, I am looking forward if you will have chance to try such a bulbs and to compare it.
Hello. i haven't managed to test those bulbs because I wasn't aware of them. If I will get them in the future I'll try my best to test them. Regarding the Ultinon LED I have tried to get them but without success till today. This is mainly because those are very hard to find on the EU market, they are illegal here and are also very expensive. Again, if I will have them I will do the reviews and comparison. But i really don't know who much time it'll pass till then.
I am a honest person. Out of all my personal favorite are Philips WhiteVision, due to their stylish look and very good lifespan. These 2 halogens you see here are very bright also, but they last only 6 months.
You convince me, in italy white vision Philips, give it to 4300k, but then I can say that I am 3700 kelvin, I do not understand. I will buy them for my Peugeot 2008, I will keep you up to date.
There are 2 version of WhiteVision. the first one was advertised at 4300k just for marketing purposes. Now they rebranded WhiteVision, in the new package at 3700k, although the bulbs themselves remained exactly the same. It's due to the fact Philips had 4300k halogens on the market, but they are illegal. They are the CrystalVision, and comparing them to WhiteVision, CrystalVision are a lot whiter, so there was impossible for both halogens to have the exact 4300k, one to be whiter but very weak and illegal, the other (WhiteVision) to be warmer and bright enough and street legal. My advice get the new WhiteVision in the 3700k package. They are newer and exactly the same as the ones sold in the 4300k package one or 2 years ago.
Great and informative video.Still I have some questions. In the shop description says that Phillips are 55w ,they are not 55/60w? (talking about the h4 version ,dual beam standard ) The other question is that you saying in the video that they having lifespan 200 hours that is 8 days straight, is that correct? It looks too short life bulbs. What lifespan have normal halogen h4 bulbs?Keep good work 👍
Hey. Thank you for your appreciation. Regarding the wattage, you can rest assure they are compatible with the 55/60w rating or only 55w if that's what you need. They consume the same as any other G4 halogen. The lifespan is shorter indeed and it's calculated for a normal use. Since the warranty for Philips RacingVision is 6 months, you can rest assure they will last at least that long. No one is using them non-stop 8 days straight. If you'll use them only at night or in the daytime when the weather is bad, on good roads, they will last much longer. Usually a standard halogen lasts from 450h to 1000h. Yet all should be replaced after 2 years of usage, because they loose their brightness in time. So even if they don't burn out by that time, it's still recommended to buy another pair. If you can use them as much and as closer as to that 2 year period of time, you can say you made a good investment in your driving experience and eye comfort at night.
They are really similar, as it's in the case of Philips RacingVision GT200 and Osram Night Breaker 200. Youu see this in my latest light meter test of RacingVision GT200. The managed to surpass Osram NB200 with 20 Lux. But at the end all comes down to the price and quality of the bulb. That's why Philips is still king in all of these aspects.
Sabhi Taheam Those should give you a way better light and visibility and will offer you what you are looking for. just keep in mind they are not road-legal. You'll use them on your own consent.
Hi, in one of yr comments you said the NBL is slightly whiter than the RV, but in another comment you said there was no difference in colour temp. Are you saying there is a very slight difference?
Salut.
Mi-as fi dorit sa fie bune insa asta e adevarul.
andi7c In cazul acesta iti recomand Philips RacingViision.
Hello! I always follow you and congratulations on the reviews! I have a Fiat Tipo Hatchback Lounge with a lens projector, do I recommend the Osram Night Breaker Laser or the Philips Racing Vision? I would like a brighter and more powerful light, and above all a wider light at the edges of the road. Thanks to the availability.
Thank you so much for your kind words. out of the 2 halogens, philips RacingVision are the most powerful, but both last only 6 months. if you think you can afford to change them that often, go fo RacingVision. But try to wait a bin. I just received the newest halogens on the market. Ring Xenon 150%. They promise to ofer the same power of RacingVision, but the light of WhiteVision, with the impressive lifespan of WHiteVision. i'll have to test them also and come back with the results.
Hello. I will try to do it this week, if the weather is ok. But in the next 2 days it'll rain a lot. With the first occasion of good weather I'll do it.
Liked it !Seems like Racing vision is more powerfull, has more bright light....though OSRAM has old relations with Renault....OEM for some RenaultsWhere did you buy them in Romania? Currently I`m using Narva Rallye (100W/90W- not recommended for street use but I assure you that I`m not blinding anyone) and I want something more powerfull.....For H4 settings what would you recommend?
thank you. Indeed the Philips RacingVision are very powerful. I went a few days ago to do my car technical inspection every other 2 years and the guy there thought they are illegal because of the brightness. I didn't bother explaining him too much he's wrong, because he could've failed my inspection if he wanted. I got the bulbs from Powerbulbs.com. They can ship it to you free of charge. You have the links in the description of this video for both of the bulbs. It's really up to you. They both are really great an light up just as good. The OSRAM have a bit colder feel to them and more lifespan, while the Philips remain the best in the build quality. You decide.
Thanks for the answer...so you say that osram will last more than phillips....im asking you since ive heard others saying the opposite.... From your experience how long will an osram unlimited or phillips racing last? What do you think about osram silverstar 2.0 ? Best buy?
hirayama n I haven't used NB Unlimited long enough to have a burned out bulb, but they will last longer than Philips RacingVision. Between RacingVision and NB Laser the lifespan is greater on OSRAM side, but both have an impressive brightness for a halogen. From all the bulbs I tested, the best buy would be OSRAm NB Unlimited, because of the low price and very good light on the road, better than Philips X-tremeVision +130% and almost as good as OSRAM NB Laser. Keep in mind the RacingVision and Laser are more than double in price compared to NB Unlimited.
I`ll certainly consider your saying about all these... How long did you use NB unlimit? 6 months? I travel a lot with my car, sometimes at night and I need light since I enjoy speed....my current narva rally are just halogen light with 90/100 w light....I buy them for 50 lei/pair and they last about 6-8 months....including dayuse ( I don't have DRL)
hirayama n Less than 6 months, but I replaced them only to test another ones. I still have them and the y work perfectly fine. You should expect them to last for more than 1 year.
Salut! Altfel ambele sunt in aceeasi clasa. Sare lumina aia direct in cuibul din copac.
Philips lie about the colour of their bulbs what it says on the box. White Vision aren't pure white at all. They give off quite a lot of yellow light. The most white for me (H7) are the Crystal Vision, the Diamond Vision are white yes, but, they have a lot of blue in them as well. Plus even when your lights are off, your headlamps give of a blue look anyway due to the coating of the bulb. Thoughts on this video poster?
This is the case for all the road legal halogens. They will have a yellowish light, very visible during the day, but which will fade away at night, when they truly are very bright and colder in light than a standard bulb. i haven't tested CrystalVision, but with DiamondVision the light was pure white at the daytime the exact xenon look. At night it also looked very impressive, with a soft shade of blueish light. Still the brightness was very very low on the road; this is why I only had them for about 24 hours, after which I took them down. I don't recommend using neither CrystalVision, nor DiamondVision. They are very weak. The WHiteVision on the other hand are my personal favorite; despite the yellowish trace in the light, they will give you a whiter light than the standard halogens. You simply cannot ask from a halogen the same light color and intensity as the one of e xenon, not even the intensity of a street legal halogen, when it comes to the pure white or 5000k bulbs, because it an impossibility at the moment, due to that dark blue coating, If you don't have over the top expectations, WhiteVision will be very good. if you want them to be like xenon, or had xenon before, you will be disappointing.
m3rovingian you might not recommend the CV but for me, where I drive (city streets lit up) they are fine. I have tried all of the Philips H7 halogens and the CV look the most white at night with the least yellow (bar the DV of course). I had the DV and although they looked good at night, i couldn't stand how they looked in the day (lights off). The whole light housing around the reflector (BMW E90) looked blue. Some people might not mind this, but it bugged me every time I looked at them.
If you are pleased with the light then it's all that matters. I haven't had the chance of testing the CrystalVision, aside from looking at their specs. It's all about what you like more.
Salut.
If you look on the specs the OSRAM is just a slightly colder than the Philips, but in the road test and with a bear eye there is really no difference what so ever. Feel free to buy whichever you like the most. I would suggest going for the one with better lifespan.
man your videos are good but which one is which one? plese DO add someoverlay on your video. My description options were turned off. Or just let hem know to turn on descriptions
Very good idea to propose this video by comparing the different lights on the same road. The result is very similar !
Thank you
i don't know which is osram which is philips? because I don't see where the explanation explains it.
Philips is up and Osram down
please review which is better after you compare.
They are both in the same tier really. Buy whichever manufacturer you like more or used in the past. You will not regret either way.
thank you for the reply and taking the time to compare the light bulbs. i appreciate it!
btw i have placed an order with powerbulbs and used your discount code ROM10. Thanks!!!
Yuzhi Ye I am glad I could be of help. Hope they will arrive to you asap.
Can you help me? Between the Philips 5000K and the Osram 5000K, which one is better?
I'll give you the link in the future, if I will have the OSRAM in my possession.
m3rovingian Thanks! M8! But this would be a great comparison, once everyone wanna know wich one is better! Cya!
which bulbs do you prefer and why?
Out of these 2 I would go for the RacingVision because of the build quality. My personal favorite are Philips WhiteVision, because of the very good visibility they offer, but also 'cause of the more stylish look they give to the car, having a colder light color.
Thanks for the reply. I've been using White Vision for 2 years and they still work fine for me. I probably go with another White Vision since the lifespan for Racing Vision and NB Laser are quite low compare to White Vision.
Anytime! Glad we are on the same page! Hope the 2nd set will last you just as long!
I just bought Osram Night Breaker Laser. Its price is half of Philips Racing vision. Still not tried, but from your review i was satisfied with this bulb
ok ty
If yr headlight covers are slightly opaque through uv exposure, then no bulb will really look outstanding.
awesome video man! thanks for all the comparisons
thank you as well

Well, according to the video, it seems that the Osram are brighter and illuminate better at distance
Pedro Sarrico Yes, that is perfectly correct.
facebook.com/Philips/posts/10154040023281317?
Dinello K Thank you for your info. Just keep in mind the H4 fitting tends to have more kelvin that the H7, at least that is the case for OSRAM Night Breaker Unlimited; the H7 is rated at 3600k while the H4 at 3900k. So it can be the case of Philips as well, with 3400k for the H7 and an average of 3500k for the H4.

@@Emiliano_Amzza.01 Prea bine. Sper sa te tina cat mai mult!
Pe ploaie cum se comporta?
O sa fac un clip si pe ploaie. Lumineaza foarte bine, datorita luminii mai calde.
Which one is close to white light ?
They are the same. You can't tell one from other in the light color. The 50 lumens difference is insignificant.
Glad I could help. The Lasers will output twice more light than the CrystalVision. Just that the color will be warmer.
thanks for the effort, really helps everyone out. i also have the white vision for almost a year now and was leaning towards the NBL not long ago.
any chance to do one on the PIAA XTRA XTREME WHITE PLUS,they seem road legal and very white.
Thank you for your kind words and support. I I will have the chance of getting a pair, I will do a review in the future.
Which one would be wiser for a motorcycle? Because it is also vital for us bikers to be seen during the day by other drivers. Which one performs better in daylight in terms of being seen?
Philips RacingVision. They do have a short lifespan unfortunately.
Thank you
anytime
Which one wins?
They are really in the same tier. Get Philips RacingVision if you care for the build quality and want a very long light beam. Their light is a bit warmer than the OSRAM Laser which are very good as well, have a tiny bit colder look and are cheaper that Philips and also have 50 hours more lifespan. It's up for you to decide. I gave you the footages :).
get both, one pair in reserve and all is fine :D
i'm using the osram laser, because everything else is from osram in my car, and... there is really no big difference in luminance!
thx for your work!
bike12345 Nice to see you remained devoted to OSRAM :). Thank you for your appreciation and support! All the best!
mogojan ciprian Teoretic, OSRAM.
Which bulbs shine better? Philips or Osram ?
You saw the comparison here. You decide.
Are you honest with all the halogen you've tested which one is the best?
They are newer and exactly the same as the ones sold in the 4300k package one or 2 years ago.
m3rovingian Thanks really are really kind and courteous in answering, i order these days, i will keep you updated on how they will go. Good evening
No problem. It is my pleasure. Will look forward to see how they will look. All the best!
If you can use them as much and as closer as to that 2 year period of time, you can say you made a good investment in your driving experience and eye comfort at night.
can osram T10 4000k led match with night breaker laser?
Not quite, because the Lasers still have a warm light output. Still it won't off-set it by much.
i feel osram which is in the bottom is slightly better than upper one
They are really similar, as it's in the case of Philips RacingVision GT200 and Osram Night Breaker 200. Youu see this in my latest light meter test of RacingVision GT200. The managed to surpass Osram NB200 with 20 Lux. But at the end all comes down to the price and quality of the bulb. That's why Philips is still king in all of these aspects.
How are crystal vision ?
Old, outdated, not for road use and very weak in brightness, just like DiamondVision.
m3rovingian do u know how are the m-tech hid kit ?
I am looking for brightish white light
Sabhi Taheam Those should give you a way better light and visibility and will offer you what you are looking for. just keep in mind they are not road-legal. You'll use them on your own consent.
m3rovingian which halogen bulb would you recommend me then for whitish light and good brightness which are road legal in projector fitment
Hi, in one of yr comments you said the NBL is slightly whiter than the RV, but in another comment you said there was no difference in colour temp. Are you saying there is a very slight difference?
Yes. The difference between 3700k of Racingvision and 3750k of the Lasers is very hard to see.
Thanks for the response and feedback.
Anytime
Salut.
Mi-as fi dorit sa fie bune insa asta e adevarul.
multumesc
andi7c In cazul acesta iti recomand Philips RacingViision.
why don't you compare the high beam performance? it seems to be only low beam driving
I have those also. Here they are: ruclips.net/video/R9BO_1wDXDs/видео.html

Which one is Philips and Which one is Osram???
Listen to the review. I say which one is which
Welche Lampe ist oben und welche unten?
RacingVision up, Osram down
They promise to ofer the same power of RacingVision, but the light of WhiteVision, with the impressive lifespan of WHiteVision. i'll have to test them also and come back with the results.
m3rovingian ok thanks for the informations. Look out for you news about new bulbs.😉
Will do.
Hi m3rovigian, thank you for your dedication. Can you give us a prevision of when will you have the ring xenon results?
Vote for Osram

RacingVision
WhiteVision is just a marketing name, you can't expect every brand, product name or slogan to be self-descriptive or truthful can you?
Salut!
Qual a melhor? Pode responder em português? Obrigado
english please. Philips are the best
In the video the Philips look cooler and the Osram a bit warmer. Is it like that in real life?
If you look on the specs the OSRAM is just a slightly colder than the Philips, but in the road test and with a bear eye there is really no difference what so ever. Feel free to buy whichever you like the most. I would suggest going for the one with better lifespan.
m3rovingian which one has better lifespan?
man your videos are good but which one is which one? plese DO add someoverlay on your video. My description options were turned off. Or just let hem know to turn on descriptions
Thank you. Sorry for the inconvenience on my past videos. On my newest ones you can see the names and specifications of every bulb in the comparisons.
Why I bought the car with bulbs h1?? :(
You can get very good bulbs for that fitting, even if they're not these 2 here. The OSRAM NB Unlimited H1 are very bright. You should try them.
GE megalight +120 h7))

Philips WhiteVision.

osram, cheaper and better light
Then you should get those ones.
Hello ! And of that are better
Both light up just as good. Get the one you like more. Choose the better build quality of the Philips or the lower price of the OSRAM.
I am disappointed with Philips rather than buying osram ;-)
Why are you whispering? Are these bulbs a secret?
I don't like to yell at my viewers
:)
The life span of this bulbs suck 200 hours , really?
Thats a month driving
In normal driving conditions, they will last about 6 months, after which you can expect them to burn, at least one bulb. It's what's happened to me.
There is also the OSRAM +150%
Yeah, I know. I reviewd them also. LASER Next gen
