I know it’s been a while but I’ve been working on a long vid that has been giving me trouble. It doesn’t help that I’m back to working full time.
Anyways, here’s a short video about the importance of You and I for Zarry, inspired by the clip of Z singing the high note that he uploaded to IG today.
I’m still planning on making a longer vid about this song in my “Things Harry Did After Zayn Left” series but since it’s been so long since I last uploaded I decided to post this to tide you over.

Funny you should mention Z touching his heart area, I noticed that, too, and I know he does it in other songs, too, so I was just thinking about doing some research on it and either make a video about it or a post on IG…

If u see, u will find a pattern of Zarry. Zayn doing something for every of Harry's important events like birthday Zelfie, album release Zelfie n AIW release Zelfie. Now again a 8 sec post before Harry starts his world tour. It's like Zayn is Harry's lucky charm or something. Don't know if Harry asks for it or Zayn shows his love n support like this 💖💛💚💛💚

Whoa....after watching this breakdown I looked at their BBC Radio 1 live performance. Both of are standing next to one another in that performance. I noticed them glancing over at one another during the performance and looking at each other while singing. Thank you for pointing out these performance details.
Thanks, @Teatime With Zarry, this compilation is pretty revealing of things beyond the significance of this song to Zarry. In looking at the clips again, I caught the dynamics between Zarry, Niall & Liam. If you look at the "You & I" clip w/Harry wearing a yellow jersey, look at Niall closely; he catches Harry looking at Zayn and shakes his head in disapproval & ridicule, then he gets in Zayn's line of sight as he's staring at Harry, he walks off, subtly shaking his head and when he returns, he stands out of Harry's line of sight from Zayn, almost giving him a chance to stare at his beloved, looks down, shaking his head in disapproval. Then, of course, as you pointed out, you can see Liam ridiculing Zayn for falling into a hypnotic state looking at his beloved "Curly Sue". 💚💗💛
These subtle dynamics explain a lot about all of the difficulties Zarry faced in their soul Love for one another. They faced the wrath, hate & disapproval of the controllers of the music industry & the public, as well as the internal homophobia, ridicule and judgement from their peers, who couldn't understand the depth & breadth of the incredible Twin Flame Love story that these two unicorns were living and still (I believe)are living today....💛💚🌻🍉💗

Well, just to play devil's advocate, if you notice the color scheme of Harry's Love on Tour so far, you'll notice a subtle green & yellow light close to the center lower stage in certain performances. Harry has chosen, this time around, to celebrate green & yellow, by highlighting the "mirror" colors or those colors that lay on the opposite end of the color spectrum. The opposite of Yellow is Blue/Indigo/Violet, while the opposite of Green is Red/Magenta/Violet Red... You'll see this pattern in everything from the performance lighting, to his choice of clothing!
Check out Harry's performances and you will see the subtle ways he's decided to celebrate Zarry, this time, including his use of sunflowers on the mic stands, as well as his use of rabbits -- I've discovered very interesting symbology surrounding rabbits, which absolutely highlights & celebrates the Soul-Love of Zarry...💚💛🌻🐇💗

I agree, Zarry is and always has been real. I do however think it’s the ONLY real ship in 1D. Even in the early days Larry was never more than a bromance and it was even promoted as such (which is why the Larries’ management excuse makes zero sense). You need to pay really close attention to the body language in early Larry videos to realize that things weren’t as “romantic” as Larries want them to be. Don’t forget that Zarry formed in the early days and started out parallel to Larry. If H wasn’t next to Louis, he was next to Z. As for Ziam, I just don’t understand it. Like where did that even come from?! It makes even less sense than Larry to me.

Speaking of You and I, I have seen this gesture of them ages ago in their video of this song. I have been waiting for somebody to notice and make a comment. But, until now nobody does. Guess, it is not that noticeable. It is actually between Harry, Zayn and Liam. In that video they were next to each other. At 2:57 after Liam jumped he looked at Zayn in his right and immediately put his arm in Zayn's shoulder. All along Harry is looking at Liam until Liam became aware of Harry's glaring at him and swapped places with Zayn. At 3:00 after swapping places, checked what Zayn and Harry did? You will not notice it properly if you would not put it in full screen. That is the gesture that made me believe with Zarry. And, the fact that Harry is really in fact possessive when it comes to Zayn. At 3:12, Liam did his part and stood in between Harry and Zayn again. Look at Liam. He made sure to check Harry then Zayn's first and when nobody gave him an eye killing look, he stayed in between them. Probably because Harry knew ZAyn next part be. Unbelievably sweet!

I actually saw it for the first time in a clip on a Larry Insta account…I have no idea why Larries think this moment has anything to do with Louis. Harry is clearly turning towards Zayn, and as this video proves, Zayn often looks at Harry during this song. 💚💛
I caught that myself and waited til the end of the clip and when the song is reaching a crescendo and Harry moves w/the others to the front of the stage, Louis is on the other side of Harry so, it's LITERALLY impossible that his whispered "I promise you", is for anyone other than Zayn!... Thanks for sharing that brief clip, as well -- it's yet another receipt to prove the soulful Love that exists between these two unicorns!! I, too, always considered Zayn's high note was because of Harry... but since then, I've read and heard that it was more directed toward Liam... It came exactly one week after Liam's interview, and Liam throwing jabs toward Zayn.
