@@TheamazingBrad69 I grew up on a farm living in the sticks in Tennessee. I think my living in the stick days are over. No offense to anyone who does. I do live on an acre on the outskirts of Peachtree City. I absolutely love working in Peachtree City and on the south side of Atlanta. It's less crowed compared to the north side. ~ Tonya

Yes at the hwy 54 / hwy 74 intersection. It does appear that GDOT is starting their improvements on that intersection as they are starting to take down the trees to begin the construction.

Pro and Con golf carts these one of my favorite aspect, its walkability, bikeability, Pro its beautiful tho I say would most of Georgia is (so not uniquely beautiful) such privilege snobby Georgians can have! Pro its nice surburb if need frequent the airport. Con it doesn't have a strong down core, like many of the suburbs of Atlanta many of having benefitted from being old train towns.
Absolute cons are less private property rights.
As person who is strongly more private property right incline, dare say advocate I would struggle with this most.

I like your point about a strong downtown. The problem is that it was developed in 1959. Well after traveling via train was a thing. It used to be farmland that the train traveled through from Tyrone to Senoia. Two towns that have a nice downtown because they were founded when rail travel was king!

Sounds extremely homogeneous and overpriced. I bet you very few people are from Georgia at all, which lends it to be more like The Villages for Families. No thank you, this community would not be for someone who hates rules and artificial towns.

Peachtree City isn't for everyone's taste. When people move here 50 percent want Peachtree City and 50 percent like the surrounding areas.

@justagirl4663 The bottom line is you cannot speed in Peachtree City or you will get a ticket. This is not the case in other parts of the Atlanta area.

3rd Generation living in Georgia until 2007. It was the best place, I wouldn't trade it for the world. It may have changed some but that is cultural, too. In the 1980s and 1990s people were nicer. I lived in PTC for 20 years. If you like to raise a family, or have a nice quiet life, it is one of the best safest places in America with excellent schools. They put on a spectacular 4th of July fireworks. You are correct, most ain't from around here.
