Hello ! What beautiful countryside ! I love the Peak District !
Amazing rock formations ! Your photography is wonderful...you have such an artistic eye.
Every view is breathtaking ! I've viewed it twice already...Lud's Church is so unusual .
You both have amazing energy -slogging along in the insufferable
heat - and we would never guess it by your
cheerful voice and enthusiasm ! THANK YOU so much !
    All the best, Andrea

Hi Andrea, it was certainly a wonderful place and the first time we have walked it too. We thought Lud's Church was a real church but abandoned so we were very surprised and delighted at what we saw. At first we thought it was an old mine or quarry then found out afterwards from one of our viewers that it was used as secret location in the 1400's by the followers of John Wyciffe, and early church reformer, due to them being persecuted. All of the walk was fantastic but one of the highlights was filming the man sat on the edge of the rock face who was talking to us all the way through as he pull his friend up over the top. His friend was very surprise to be on camera but they were great characters to talk to. The whole area of The Roaches is great with plenty of free parking and easy access for everybody counting school parties, rock climbing groups and day trippers. We still have one more walk to edit in the Cotswolds from last summer but it will be a lot quieter and not near as exciting as the The Roaches. All the best John and Janice

Another interesting tour! Had to also pull up Google Earth to see where you were. I always do this. It adds to the experience. This video happened to be made on my 76th birthday so I'll take it as a little celebration! Keep Moving Forward!

Hi FF7824, first of all we know its a bit late but we would like to wish you a very happy 76th birthday. It was fabulous filming The Roaches over 2 days the thing that amazed us was the amount of people enjoying themselves walkers, climbers and school parties etc but you never felt crowded because of it's vastness . The ice cream was very welcome and we love the Roaches. Thank you for your comment all the best The Taxi Driver

Thank you for the well wishes. Your tour also caused me to look up the roaches on Wikipedia. I suppose you didn't happen to see Jenny Greenteeth!

As is usual, your travel video picked my interest in the area and I happened to find this very informative video on photography that was set in the Roaches: ruclips.net/video/MAubfEMWyio/видео.html

I only today discovered his videos for the first time. i love the way he describes is passage along the walks. just wanted to ask. where does his accent originate from. is it somewhere around the west midlands maybe? love his videos as they have a very honest original style. We keep moving on.

I live in Louisiana and love your videos! Would it be possible for you to put a map of where the walk is located at the beginning of your videos? It would be nice to see where in England it is located. Thank you. Just a suggestion for all of us who don't live in England.

Hi Black adder, yes we did enjoy our ice cream on both days and there's nothing better when sat at the side of the road with an incredible view too. We had a fabulous time on The Roaches and as you can see the weather was very warm. All the best The Taxi Driver
