Godbless you fr.jones it's a blessing to watch your videos and the love you have for our Lord Jesus christ May the holy.spirit continue to guide your every thought and prayers bless you fr.jones🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😇.
You are such a blessing Fr David. I myself live in a Hermitage and keep the Franciscan way of life. I am seeking others to join me. May the Lord bless you in ALL THAT YOU DO. Deepest love and respect, Br Francis Mary
I say, a mighty surprise. Thank you for this word of encouragement, and for this invisible fellowship. Yes, St. Francis himself had an eremitic streak, which the world is usually unaware of. God bless your solitude and call.

You are Timeless an eternal light . Still shining in the dark November Night of 2021 . God Bless you Father David Jones and always hold you in the palm of his hand . Thank you for You , and all the great Priests and religious who serve the Almighty and shepherd his Flock. Amen 🙏
Dear Padre, thank you for being a good Priest. I'm interested in finding my vocation. I love the Latin Mass too. I was wandering if the Church provides financial support to Catholic hermit priests. God bless and Ave Maria!
One of the safest places for young vocations in the States at the moment is St Michael's Abbey in Orange County. They are very faithful. If one is on one's own, one needs to be recognized by a Bishop and under his obedience. In a Catholic country like Ireland, surviving is not a problem, as they people are very supportive. It was not possible back home in Wales,as the culture is Protestant, and the Bishops were not encouraging. It all depends on the local situation. If one is not a priest, one needs some personal means of support, and this is the problem that female hermits often have. It one is a priest, one may be called upon to do things in a parish setting. Fortunately, I am left in peace, as there are still a lot of priests around.
Very dignified, Father. Like the Holy Spirit, you are quietly working in the background for the salvation of souls, and it is most humbling to see a hermit in his daily life. I will certainly start offering up prayers for our hermits, who are an asset to the Holy Church. One question: At 17:29 when you are at supper, you have a second plate of food to the left of you. Is that plate for the Lord? If so, what do you do after supper with it? God bless, Father.
Ah, God bless you for these kind words. I retained the Trappist timetable, as it has the beauty of the intimacy of the night with Jesus, our hidden, loving King. It counterbalances sinister forces in the night hours out there.
Fr Jones, I just started watching your videos it's great to see a Latin mass hermit monk like yourselves, I'm still trying to find my vocation. I'm also kind of uncomfortable in the novus Ordo parishes , I only go to Latin mass now , FSSP but I'd love to join a Latin mass hermitage but I need a lot of work
If you have simple work you can begin a quiet semi-eremitic life close to the FSSP, and eventually ask the local Bishop to take you as a recognized hermit under Canon 603. Without the Priesthood one actually be less absorbed by people and callers.
Thank you for your response Fr Jones, please pray for me to know Gods will, I live in the united states in texas, I still live with my parents at the moment. I'm a little nervous about leaving my parents house but I'm 27 which some are out of their parents house by that time. God bless you .
Our Community was under the Archbishop of Siena and I made my vows in his hands and he ordained me a deacon a few weeks later and a priest a few months after that. When the Community was dissolved as a diocesan house and re-erected as a house under the Abbot General, I did not renew my vows and asked the Bishop of Meath to profess me as a hermit and he is now my abbot, and visits every month.
If you are called to live near your parents, it might be possible to create a simple structure on the family property, and should you become a recognized hermit, a good bishop would allow you to have a little private oratory with the Blessed Sacrament
It is only a Hermitage. There were four diocesan hermits in this diocese until St Veronica died a while back, We all live indifferent places, but under obedience to the Bishop. He comes here every month, and is very caring. One can become a hermit under the bishop if one undertakes obedience to him, following Canon 603. Sr Um, one of the other hermits, read at my Profession in the Cathedral. See Profession of Fr David as a hermit, also on you tube. Se also full documentary, Threshold of Paradise, on you tube.
Father,I would like to say, that this is an amazing Video,of what you do everyday,in your Hermitage, from getting up early morning to preparing a meal for you,and more prayers and then resting.I pray for God to continue blessing you and guiding you,and may He never leave you alone. As I continue to recite the Rosary and also pray for you, during Lent,I ask God,Christ, and the Blessed Virgin Mother, their guidance over you,and also the Holy Spirit. May God Bless you and please pray for our city, that is going through a Water Crisis, cause the dams are nearly empty and the water will only last now for the last 100 days,so that God can bring the heavy downpours of rain. I would like to also ask,if you could bless me with a rosary like the one,the Holy Father gave to the congregation, known as the Mesericordina Rosary like this one: www.divinamisericordia.it/images/news/misericordina_plus2.jpg
Ah, kind words, Elton. I will ask someone coming from Italy about the Misericordina. God Himself intervene in this terrible water crisis. It must be much hotter where you are than here in Ireland.
Your dedication to our lord inspires me dear brother. Thank you for your service, may the lord bless you and keep you 🙏

Father, don't the Carthusians also pray Our Lady's Office in addition to the Divine Office?
