Hinduism in Anime: 1. 'Avatar the Last Airbender' mentioned about Kundalini awakening. Even Aang's childhood friend who's an Earth Bender is named 'Bumi' which comes from the Sanskrit word 'Bhumi' which means earth/land. 2. In 'Avatar The Legend of Korra', Zahir a self-taught Airbender, talked about a monk named Guru Laghima who could fly. Interestingly, 'Laghima' is one of the Eight Siddhis(Mystic power) that allows one to reduce his weight to lighter than the lightest. 3. In Dragonball Z, King Yama, the God of Death, is inspired by Chinese mythology, but the word 'Yama' is a Sanskrit word from the Puranas. And in Hinduism too Yama is the God of Death.

I'm a HIndu. My Parents gave me a Buddhist name and I'm Proud of it. Most HIndus believe Buddha as avatar of Vishnu. We also have many Facts to prove this. Hi brother, regarding the right books for Mahabharat. In the 1940s, the BORI, a research institute in India, started a mission to create a complete text of Mahabharat. For over 30 years they collected manuscripts across the country, recorded various versions across India. In 1970s they published the critical edition of Mahabharat in Sanskrit which contained over 60000 shlokas(couplets). The books by Bibek Debroy are English translation of BORI critical edition. He is an excellent author and translator of these ancient texts and you can check out his other works as well. Regarding buying those books however, I will suggest you to first get an idea of what happens in Mahabharat beforehand. Maybe through a summary or watching a short RUclips video. The reason is that Mahabharat is the world's text. The story is so deep that reading around 5000 pages directly may not be as effective. Plus the main focus on Mahabharat, in my opinion is not on the events but on the conversations between characters. So I feel that any beginner should first get a grip on the story, at least the highlights of the events, before reading the critical edition.
You got me good with little Krishna anime, I legit thought there is a good anime based on our culture but it's the same old cartoon for kids. Please don't call it anime. Call it cartoon or animated series. Anime is nothing similar. The ramayana movie which came out in 90s can be called anime TBH.
I maybe late, but if you want a small time easy read on almost all the Hindu mythology, I recommend AMAR CHITRA KATHA books. They are simple comics with almost accurate narrative (which is very great, considering other sources available at this age) and are fun to read. Just my opinion, as they were one of the great sources to read from, irrespective of age. And yeah they are available in English. Thank you.🙏🏼
Yes Sanatan always gives us freedom to put our own mindset, logics and debates that's why many of people don't support our believes cause they think we can't stick to one word but that's not the whole concept.
That version of Mahabharat by Vivek Debroy is good enough if you are not getting any other. But start with Ramayana ( if you can find) as it's much easier & understable for the first time reader.
Anyways, regarding animal sacrifice. There is no animal sacrifice practiced in Hinduism. It is practiced in Tantrik though... mostly for Kali, Aiyanar (guarding deity) in some places. The ancient texts were translated literally to make it look like there was animal sacrifice in ancient times. Hindu Dharma literally preach non killing. As for Buddha, he was born a Hindu prince in a wealthy family. Upon seeing people of different caste's living different standard of lives, he left all his comforts and rested below the Bodhi tree and did penance. His tapasya (penance) was actually thaught by Shiva in the ways to reach enlightenment. Buddhism is generally Hinduism but Nastik.
Would recommend Mahabharata by C Rajagopalachari.. Could be difficult to follow in the first few chapters but with Google or should be easy to understand some sanskrit words mentioned in the book. His is considered to be very accurate translation to the original
I was really shocked when i saw anime series Naruto, those who saw it they really know what i am talking about, I have thesis like the whole series and the core ideas was inspired from the Hindu shastras. For example using chakras, summoning animals, using different hand sings for different Justus, reincarnation, and a lot of things you can connect if you know more than basics of hinduism.
U can buy all Mahabharata from iskon ....u can contact them ... They r there in every country.... And thank you very much i am now intrested in knowing my religion.... I have been busy in work knowledge so much.... Now thanks to you i can able to get back to dharma .... Love you take care
Brother, a recommendation....You must check Hinduism and Animals...Especially Shiva and Animals.....It will give you a brief info on how Hinduism is in animals too...
People used the term "Avatar" to depict themselves as "people" in the simulation of internet which is more or less what "Avatar" actually is. "Someone taking up another form in a world/simulation." This is the general definition.
I,ll suggest you to read "Geeta Press" publication Mahabharat to read, Vivek Debroy translated Mahabharat with his interpretation which is not good, because Ramayan - Mahabharat are our history, you cannot read History with interpretation. Because History is case study for us, so I'll suggest you to buy 'Geeta Press publication' "Valmiki Ramayan" and "Vyas Mahabharat"
The first reply sums it up pretty much. And maybe because he started it as a hinduism exploration channel I guess he will move to other topics when he completes it, more like if he completes it. Its too diverse.
Nilesh Oak Podcast on TRS please In ancient India.. or if we say before Mughals and Islamic invaders entered in India.. There used to be a debate.. The debate between state's or kingdom's prime minister at that time King was considered as teh President and has all the powers and a Bhramin ( again it's not based on birth it's based on action) used to be PM.. Bhramin guides the president to his best decision as Krishna guides arjuna.. At that time when someone with higher knowledge claims a different belief there used to be a debate called "Shastrat" which means a debate of Shastras.. The one who came with questions should be fully prepared with the verses and shlokas of Shastras that he/she rejects... The PM considered to be the best known person to recite vedas and shastras so he/she will answer it.. Talking about the Avtara part.. yes, I said it in previous video that all this is belongs to the Darwin's Evolution theory because many American scientist already said it many times that they were inspired by Hindu vedic text.. But they never said that they properly stole it from there.. There is a book in Sanatan Dharma which is called " Surya Sidhanta", As i said about Nilesh Oak sir he described that how this book is still the most accurate scientific book related to astronomy... In Indian homes there is a calendar normal calendar but even in this normal calendar the dates are mentioned with the time of sun movement, Direction and any kind of eclipse that's why most of the hindu religion followers follow that calendar because they got to know when and what kind of eclipse is coming and how it will affect our body... l If you want to follow the scientific part and explained in English you can go to the youtube channel of -> Sadhguru If you want archeological side which is not mentioned by experts but actually are real findings you can go to -> TRS nilesh oak If you want to read about Puranas and Vedic Scriptrues in English you can go to -> Project Shivoham

I would recommend you to search for some old Indian text to learn , not some english or western scholars(not saying they are bad, just for the viewpoint). You can visit any iskcon or swamanarayan temple for any question. 👍
Naah , bro balrama was the brother of Krishna and in previous avatar he was lakshamn the brother of lord ram as krishna avatar was taken after avatar of lord ram so lakshamn should also be mentioned as the avatar of Lord Vishnu has 👀 seeing. In real u see the picture where lord vishnu is lying and sometimes take a nap 😴 on a snake 🐍 Called seesh nag he is the avatar of balram not vishnu ji. Conclusion- Sugata avatar is the lord vishnu 9th avatar not gautam buddha 2) Balram ( brother of krishna) and lakshman at previous avatar as small brother of lord ram who is the seesh nag the gaint serpant king! 👑
If you want to read or see mahabharata, i highly recommemend you the mahabharat by B R Chopra it is available on youtube. That is the only which i believe is the closest depiction of actual mahabharat. But you might find one problem in it and that is it have 147 episodes 😅😅 but that is the closest one that is why i suggesting that one over any other translation. Although it is not in english but still you can watch with caption on. 😅😅 just to see the real emotion and understand each character and that is important because sometimes for you it might make no sense for any behaviour or something but ithis is how it used to be. And you also have to compromise the video quality and stuffs like that.
While I applaud you trying to learn more about Santana Dharma. A note of caution or a something to be aware of while doing so: Please remember that sources from which you learn can influence your own narrative. In western universities funding for research into Indic/Vedic subjects has historically been funded by far left leaning institutions, which influence how they are able to portray Indic subjects including Santana Dharma as per directions of funders with deep pockets. There are a good few names in western institutions like Harvard, Oxford etc. who regularly make a living out of demonising the Deities of Sanatana Dharma and their teachings in the name of free speech. The writings of such folk will certainly have a very different angle to someone who is truly non biased and will most likely not be associated with institutions, political agendas etc. Also writings of someone who is not writing solely to pay their bills or for 15 minutes of fame tend to have more "lived experiences" which can benefit a sincere seeker. You might resonate with the writings Sir John Woodroffe (aka Arthur Avalon), an English lawyer who in 1915 served as the Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court in West Bengal, India, and who along with his wife was a practitioner of Sanatana Dharma, particularly the worship of the Divine Mother. As far as knowing more about the stories of the Puranas you can find comic book collections of Amar Chitra Katha based on Indic legends and epics, historical figures and biographies, folktales etc. This will be much more easier to make a start in digesting and committing to memory various storylines, before jumping into books dealing with Vedic concepts and ideas. Most Indians start out with this or via TV series (in regional languages) based on these topics. Next I would suggest books written by masters of different Dharmic traditions of Ashtanga Yoga, Mantra Yoga, Bhakti etc. where their lived experiences are shared, which will help you realise that these stories and epics are to be lived and experienced and not just read about. Some such books are Sri Aurobindo - Savitri, Life Divine. Om Swami - If truth be told, Ancient Science of Mantras. Sadhguru - Death. Yogananda Paramahamsa - Autobiography of a Yogi. Sri M - Apprenticed to A Himalayan Master. All the best!

Sanskrit is a root based language and each word has a meaning. English translations are not precise. For eg: GURU means one who leads to light but in modern management anyone who is well versed in something is referred as GURU which is not the intended meaning. We don't have a word in English which can effectively translate "Dharma"
Bro who said that. Buddha never dismissed the vadas, Buddha wasn't a Buddhist he was a Hindu by birth and till death. He created his own way off enlightenment , that doesn't mean he criticized his teachers teachings. He just populated and spread his teachings around the places he visited. Unlike modern day religious debate ancient Indian debates about philosophy and belief were much more civilized. He was a big deal around the places where he travelled but he wasn't that big of a deal all over india and the world. If somebody claims he is a Avatar, there free to do so because everybody is a part of Lord Vishnu at the end. weather it be Gautam Buddha or the bandit who cuts off every victims fingers in the story of Buddha. Nobody is born witn any original sin. They do have karma for there past life though, that determines there birth but still you can change your life break from for the cycle of life and death and join the gods in there divine abode. But don't worry if you fail to break free, eventually when there universe is destroyed to make away from a new one , your soul will join the others in the abode of the gods .
Buddhism got nothing to do with Sanatan dharma they took out the parts of it and had their own take.. meanwhile we cherish diversity when it's peaceful.
Hindu scriptures full of metaphors because stories tranferred one generation another generation orally for many centuries .. Hindu philosophy clearly explained in upanishads..
Actually we don't believe gautam buddh (originator of Buddhism)was a avtar we believe sugata Buddha as a avtar basically Gautam Buddha meditate on the same tree of our buddha when he reached enlightenment he got his name budh/budha (The enlightened one).
no matter which translation book you buy it just wont be perfect, even sanskrit to hindi translations have some errors bcz sanskrit has very large vocabulary. so always read a book with a mindset that this may not be exactly what it is
Read Geetha press, ghorakpur version its wether its ramayana, mahabharatha or bhagawathgeetha its not 100% correct translate but 80-85% correct others are 60% exact translate because each sound in sanskrit will have min 6-22,23 types of synonims we should take the context, in which grammer its written etc etc there are so many things to take into considaration so geetha press, ghorakpur is 120years back survaiving press and its translations will be 80-85% of correct not 100% if you want the learn sanskrit and you your self should read slokas and you should you yourself should learn.... trust me you will love it
An Avatar of the lord will have 16 different signs under his feet and Srivatsa ( Symbol of Goddess Maha Lakshmi) on his chest. A true scholar will never accept any random spiritual leader as an avatar of Vishnu.
Before reading any book it will be better to have some basic understanding of Hindu philosophy, just watch two Tv serial available on you tube 1. BR CHOPRA directed MAHABHARAT with English subtitles. 2. Ramananad Sagar directed RAMAYANA . It will give you a whole philosophical knowledge of Hindu sanatan dharma.

You got me good with little Krishna anime, I legit thought there is a good anime based on our culture but it's the same old cartoon for kids.
Please don't call it anime. Call it cartoon or animated series. Anime is nothing similar. The ramayana movie which came out in 90s can be called anime TBH.
The Mahabharata Book by Bibek Debroy is great to read. Very elaborate and he tried to do more justice while translating from Sanskrit to English.
🙏
I maybe late, but if you want a small time easy read on almost all the Hindu mythology, I recommend AMAR CHITRA KATHA books. They are simple comics with almost accurate narrative (which is very great, considering other sources available at this age) and are fun to read.
Just my opinion, as they were one of the great sources to read from, irrespective of age. And yeah they are available in English.
Thank you.🙏🏼
Yes Sanatan always gives us freedom to put our own mindset, logics and debates that's why many of people don't support our believes cause they think we can't stick to one word but that's not the whole concept.
Would love to know more about Paganism from you
That version of Mahabharat by Vivek Debroy is good enough if you are not getting any other.
16:37 point to be noted such avatars are not anyway related to original hindu lore. most hindus dont believe him as any kind of avatar
U can buy all Mahabharata from iskon ....u can contact them ... They r there in every country.... And thank you very much i am now intrested in knowing my religion.... I have been busy in work knowledge so much.... Now thanks to you i can able to get back to dharma .... Love you take care
u r right
Yes.. Bibek Debroy is good. He spent decades translating Hindu texts..
Brother, a recommendation....You must check Hinduism and Animals...Especially Shiva and Animals.....It will give you a brief info on how Hinduism is in animals too...
The word 'Avatar', came from 'Avtar' pronouncing the same in Sanskrit. Descent of Paramatma in living form.
There are some free versions of Mahabharat available online.
People used the term "Avatar" to depict themselves as "people" in the simulation of internet which is more or less what "Avatar" actually is. "Someone taking up another form in a world/simulation." This is the general definition.
I am loving your channel.. i have a small task for u search the number of words in English and in Sanskrit..!
10:40 budha is not a reincarnation of lord vishnu there is another reincatnation named like mohini
0:07 why don't you cover anything aside from Hinduism?? Why not European lore
Umm he wants views and also he is exploring religion so.
The first reply sums it up pretty much. And maybe because he started it as a hinduism exploration channel I guess he will move to other topics when he completes it, more like if he completes it. Its too diverse.
@@gangleader777 the first one is correct. No need for second part. Let's put aside PC behavior if we're discussing Hinduism and dharma of all things
@@rockysalvatore435 ok👏
A good one to buy is Dwapar Katha: The Stories of the Mahabharata by Sudipta Bhowmik
Nilesh Oak Podcast on TRS please
In ancient India.. or if we say before Mughals and Islamic invaders entered in India..
In Indian homes there is a calendar normal calendar but even in this normal calendar the dates are mentioned with the time of sun movement, Direction and any kind of eclipse that's why most of the hindu religion followers follow that calendar because they got to know when and what kind of eclipse is coming and how it will affect our body... l
If you want to follow the scientific part and explained in English you can go to the youtube channel of -> Sadhguru
If you want archeological side which is not mentioned by experts but actually are real findings you can go to -> TRS nilesh oak
If you want to read about Puranas and Vedic Scriptrues in English you can go to -> Project Shivoham
To read Mahabharata Efficiently you have to read JAYA by Devdutt Pattnaik please 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Penguin publications
372 pages
With flowcharts and historical facts and how to understand the book and religion
You've given the wrong link in the description buddy.
It's the link of the vid you previously reacted to not the current one
Bibek is very learned man and expert in Sanskrit.
I go into Upanishads to ask questions -Niels Bhor 🥶👌
Christianity is so not looking inward to the point that if you ask why you should have faith they kick you out. They did to me anyway, when I was 10.
I strongly recommend you to watch any podcast of 'BeerBiceps' with Rajrshi Nandi..
Hey man tell us about you sometime.
Are you a Pagan? What kind of Pagan?
And how and when did you became or realised to be a Pagan?
U know...i somehow find one piece aslo has some bits related to hindu myth ( other myths are also there)
Hinduism is all about questioning. We call it seeking..
I would suggest reading Mahabharata from Bhandarkar Research Institute since it is the closest to the original.
Geetanjali publication Bhagawad Gita in English is the one you're looking for
There is a channel called "Let's Talk Religion". Do watch their playlist.
7:06 yes
You can read mahabhagavatam (Mahabharata) from Iskon
see if any geeta press mahabharata is available because its most trustworthy press in india and we completely rely on it or any sanskrit to hindi(or any regional language ) there must be english translations too of geeta press
Please do consider watching this. As you reacted to the 10 avatars of lord Vishnu, this is about his 7th avatar, Shri Rama.
it is a popular movie about Ramayan. the makers didn't go in-depth into the story but we can say it is the summary of the epic Ramayan "ruclips.net/video/gKcOjnDJfzk/видео.htmlsi=gTRb0AmwSdSSbP-e".
nahh there are 24 avatars of lord vishnu not thousands out of which 10 are main ❤
You should watch Amish Tripathi speech over Hinduism at Oxford University debate. You would get brief idea about this culture
bibek debroy's maharashtra is really good.
I would recommend you to search for some old Indian text to learn , not some english or western scholars(not saying they are bad, just for the viewpoint). You can visit any iskcon or swamanarayan temple for any question. 👍
Naah , bro balrama was the brother of
Krishna and in previous avatar he was lakshamn the brother of lord ram as krishna avatar was taken after avatar of lord ram so lakshamn should also be mentioned as the avatar of Lord Vishnu has 👀 seeing. In real u see the picture where lord vishnu is lying and sometimes take a nap 😴 on a snake 🐍 Called seesh nag he is the avatar of balram not vishnu ji.
Conclusion- Sugata avatar is the lord vishnu 9th avatar not gautam buddha
2) Balram ( brother of krishna) and lakshman at previous avatar as small brother of lord ram who is the seesh nag the gaint serpant king!
Vist "21 notes " for Ramayan videos
10:47 there came more than 12 budhha gautam is the last one he wasnt avatar but an enlightened man he preached that no one should worship him and dont make his idol instead worship each other as divine and all the old idols found are of vishnu avatar kashyap budhha .gautam budhha was borb at about 500bce and kashyap avatar was like 1500bce . like buddhists gautam shaves his head but old idol foun had hairs on. Now unknowingly they pictures gautam buddha with hairs
Where are kashyap Buddha's scriptures
You should give your reaction to the Mahabharat TV series lunached in 2013
I strongly recommend you to watch any episode of 'BeerBiceps podcust with Rajarshi Nandy'...
Save Hindus in Bangladesh
Plz consider the Bhagavad Gita by ram bhadhra Acharya most of the bhagavad Gita is miss interpreted
i always wanted to live to see Kalki
#SaveBangladeshiHindus PLEASE ASAP!!!
I have listened that christan yoga came into market is it true?😂?
Bibek debris translation is better than most if not the best.
Is it just me or does the scholar giving the talk look and talk like a whiter Reza Aslan ?
Buddhism got nothing to do with Sanatan dharma they took out the parts of it and had their own take.. meanwhile we cherish diversity when it's peaceful.
Hindu scriptures full of metaphors because stories tranferred one generation another generation orally for many centuries .. Hindu philosophy clearly explained in upanishads..
Bro react on Mahabharata ❤😊
Actually we don't believe gautam buddh (originator of Buddhism)was a avtar we believe sugata Buddha as a avtar basically Gautam Buddha meditate on the same tree of our buddha when he reached enlightenment he got his name budh/budha (The enlightened one).
Yes both had a gap of around 2500 years
there is a difference of opinion on this. there is a valid argument that gautama buddha is the 9th avatar.
no matter which translation book you buy it just wont be perfect, even sanskrit to hindi translations have some errors bcz sanskrit has very large vocabulary.
so always read a book with a mindset that this may not be exactly what it is
React to Swami Saravriyananda
Please react to little Krishna animated episodes
Read Geetha press, ghorakpur version its wether its ramayana, mahabharatha or bhagawathgeetha its not 100% correct translate but 80-85% correct others are 60% exact translate because each sound in sanskrit will have min 6-22,23 types of synonims we should take the context, in which grammer its written etc etc there are so many things to take into considaration so geetha press, ghorakpur is 120years back survaiving press and its translations will be 80-85% of correct not 100% if you want the learn sanskrit and you your self should read slokas and you should you yourself should learn.... trust me you will love it
God Buddha is the avatar of God Vishnu😊
An Avatar of the lord will have 16 different signs under his feet and Srivatsa ( Symbol of Goddess Maha Lakshmi) on his chest. A true scholar will never accept any random spiritual leader as an avatar of Vishnu.
Before reading any book it will be better to have some basic understanding of Hindu philosophy, just watch two Tv serial available on you tube
1. BR CHOPRA directed MAHABHARAT with English subtitles.
2. Ramananad Sagar directed RAMAYANA .
It will give you a whole philosophical knowledge of Hindu sanatan dharma.
