It's about how he struggled with living in LA and touring constantly. He said when he could escape back to the mountains and the Sequoias he felt the weight fall of of him. He called it going to the Otherside. Yes, It's a deeply emotional piece and makes me cry too.
Honestly Avi's music is so incredibly moving. Even without listening to the lyrics it strikes such a strong emotional chord. Then his lyrics are also incredibly crafted and SOO meaningful. Fairly simple video sync occurs when you make a visual synchronizing cue that you can use when you start the second source of video. A low tech version of a fancy production clapboard. Instead,, when you start the music video by clicking the mouse to start playing it, make sure you visibly snap your fingers with the other hand as your visual cue. That way, when it comes time to merge the playback of the music video in with the camera video.. you have a way that you can know where you need to start the PIP (picture in picture) merge.
