Narahari Parvata(hill)

Narahari Parvatha Sadashiva Temple is temple dedicated to God Shiva which is situated at a separation of 28 kms from Mangalore in Bantwal taluk of Dakshina Kannada locale. Narahari Parvatha is encompassed by surrounding scenes and captivating greeneries.
As per a legend, Sri Krishna (God Hari) went with Arjuna (Nara) offered atonement here to free themselves from the sins committed during the Mahabharatha's Kurukshetra war. Ruler Hari as an indication of his visit sculpted Shanka (Conch), Chakra (Wheel), Gadha (Heavy Weapon) and Padma (Lotus) offering ascent to the four "Teerthakoopas" (Holy Ponds) which are available even today.
This slope which is acclaimed for its 'Sadashiva Temple' is 1,000 feet above ocean level keeping mythological secrets dating down to the time of Pandavas. It could be journey to the enthusiasts or an undertaking for the trekkers. It makes a move of 333 strides to achieve the top.
