@@MattSamson83 I'm all for ignoring all the rules you possible can. It's up to all of us what rules/instructions we choose to ignore :) It really annoys me that society has any rules at all, espcially on the roads and on public transport.
I love the spring suspension, the trains are some of the most comfortable, best for spotting and have a great door slam and sometimes aren't in sync which to me is great
Very interesting, I enjoy watching vids like this mainly focusing on the scenery throughout the train route ITS TIME TO SUBSCRIBE Btw can you make a clog about Cherrybrook Metro Station since i live in the WPH - Cherrybrook Area
The normal time table for this journey is 1 hr 47 minutes an average speed of 48 kph really pathetic for an allegedly modern train which should do this trip in 1 hour at an average speed of 100 kph. Government needs to have a serious look at the performance of inter city services and get it fixed. It's the Bathurst snail.
You can't go fast getting out of Sydney, as it is a built up area and you are going thru stations. Once you get to the Blue Mtns, you are still going thru a lot of stations and the track design (alignment) was done for steam, which means low gradients and plenty of curves. There is absolutely nothing wrong with these locos, as they will quite happily sit on 160kmh all day. The Broken Hill version of this train does just that.
The Bathurst Bullet - To Katoomba is on the opal card
Gotta love the endeavours!
Not so much a bullet but a cannonball - part of the NSW Heritage Fleet
That's a unique train, I went to Katoomba using Intercity trains
Wow, a vlog on the Bathurst Bullet! Looking forward to this.
the bullet train is on the opal card?
Dam missed seeing him by a day. If this was filmed on the friday
I live in Bathurst and have caught this a few times, it's a great service but the V set is a much nicer quieter train
2011 was my last year in primary school.
Cars 2 was released that year!
Never seen this trains, so big thanks Phil! Also I would like to appreciate the efforts and time that you put into just filming these videos
Saw those locos 2801 and 2851 at Newcastle intg on Wednesday last week
2011, the year the Waratah A Sets began running on the network. And 2012 the following year is when the Bathurst Bullet began.
good video mate
Great Video Phil 👍 keep up the good work mate
Nice one! How did you wrangle the ok for you to alight at Katoomba as that's only a pickup station. Well done however you managed it.
Living in katoomba I always catch the bullet, nobody stops me.
@@kcobley Lol! You rebel you!
The gentleman that created the video did the same, I've been catching the snail for years.
They can't stop a person leaving the train.

Those Endeavors didn't age well - Squeaky, rattly and noisy!
I agree. I went in 2801 and 2851 and the doors to get into the next carriages didn’t even work. Although it seems in Phil’s video they did work

@@thunderbird1454 What's the problem with stations? Yer just as dead if you get hit by a train at 48 kph.
Or you could smash into inner city trains like a smash em up derby, that'd be fun
Cool
