Just purchased one as a "Fun" guitar, not one of my serious guitars however I was shocked at the sound. Great purchase and I play it often. Nice change from the single coil Strat sound. Very happy with my decision and great sound
Used to play one of these and like it. Want to buy a new one soon. By the way, do you know the difference between Dan' 59 M Nos and the Spruce? Is the Spruce a hollow body and which one between the two is lighter? Thanks.
From what I understand, the NOS+ refers to the way the lipstick pickups are wound, so they sound more like the 50's-60's originals...Its def not the spruce..I know because I have a NOS+ exactly like this one...Personally I think they sound wicked..not sure what extra the spruce brings to the table...they sound near identical to me but cost a bit more
I have two DC 59's , one like this and a Chinese reissue with a strat type bridge. The Chinese bridge is so much better, the wraparound bridge, especially as it's recessed, is a pain indeed. The recess does not allow you to access the intonation screws well. You cannot set the height of the saddles individually, which is not wanted, when you want to set a flatter radius for slide. And due to the recess, I currently have no idea how to update this to a more usable bridge.
Jesus - listen to what you are playing as you play it instead of paying attention to what you are doing. It sounds AWFUL at times. If you LISTEN to the sound that is happening your playing will improve dramatically.

Played by Jimmy Page, Syd Barrett...fun guitar?
Great work and awsome tone! Almost organic clarity on that! Wow 😯
tiny bit of reverb would have made this vid sound epic
Does anybody know the difference between DE 59M NOS+ and 59M NOS+? What does "DE" mean? Thanks in advance.

The wrap around bridge is the only thing keeping me from buying one of these. Such a pain in the butt to change strings.
not with these new ones with the recess in the body...just restrung mine and it was super easy

I just read earlier that you loosen the strings and remove the bridge and you restring it that way. The guy says it's easy
Does this produce 60 cycle hum like you’d expect from a strat?
Its does have some 60 cycle hum but not as strong/distinct as a Strat.
In the middle position the pickups are wired in series instead of parallel, so it cancels the 60 cycle hum, but only in the middle position.
This or a Mexican stratocaster?
Everyone owns a Mexican strat, stand out and get the danelectro
Yeah you’re right thanks man
@@TwinTownGuitars strat has whammy bar, 1 more pickup and very easily upgraded... its the first e-guitar anyone should have
What the fuck is with those weird off kilter bends?
Diax1324 😂it’s jazz bro
Diax1324 works to his advantage I think 🤔
Tune your guitar man it's hard to get into the sound when it sounds like shit.
Slightly out of standard tuned guitars can sound different and interesting, imo. That guy from the Chili Peppers understands this too.

Right. Stfu dipshit..
Actually he sounds like me when I'm playing for fun
I actually liked it. Rock 'n' roll isn't meant to be clinical perfection.
