Interesting how when you do the 0-60, the transmission shifts below 6k rpm

This is done to keep that that power band even and constant power delivery, put in sport the revs hang when you let up in corners and response is magic for this class [turbo].

Your 0-60 was exactly 7 seconds which is one of the best I have seen (you got a strong launch). The near 6 second time reported by C&D is nonsensical. I have examine 9 videos now on youtube and all times were over 6.9 seconds with the average being around 7.3 seconds. Were you running 87 octane or 93 octane fuel.

Rented a Cx5 in alaska.. i couldnt figure out why everyone rants and raves about mazda cx5.. The steering felt very artificial and heavy (not in a good way). no connection to the road.. and that base 2.5 was dangerously slow with 4 of us in it to accelerate out in traffic.

You drove a rental car n you gave a bad comment, hillarious.. you dont know which model year, has it been looked after, could be previous renter damaged it by riding it hard or any other means.
Go to the dealer n test drive one, compare it to other competitors like sportage, tucson, rav4, crv, hands down cx5 os the best interms of handling n driving refinement n nvh, not so much in tech though

Because the Cx-5's rivals are even slower and less engaging to drive. It's all relative to their respective market segments. Compared to a RAV4 or CR-V, the CX-5 is indeed more engaging to drive.
