Se ve tranquilo (calm) en El Espino. Pan dulce, man I like "Semita" Salvadorena, a bread with a pineapple jelly like layer on top and then a crispy crust. Also the main one my mom makes is pan "Quesadilla", not to be confused with the Mexican style cheese n tortilla.The Salvadoran Quesadilla is a cake like bread with ground hard cheese, to some a cheesecake flavor. And my personal favorite and my mom makes this is "Pan Marquesote", taste kinda like the Southern USA tea cakes, a soft cakelike bread with a thin layer of crispy crust on top, great with coffee. Good stuff. A popular thing to eat with the homemade thick corn tortillas is the cuajada cheese and the tortilla. Those damn mosquitoes. The last time I visited El Salvador was in 1998. I was a teenager. I still have a few of the mosquito bite scars that refused to fade. I was nothing but a buffet to them.

No doubt about it, whether in the city or traveling in los barrios, the people there definitely are friendly. They show as much curiosity and interest in yourself, as you do to them. Regarding the mosquitos, I must ask. Do they have/sell bug spray (Off! As an example) there? Or are you like myself, and hate to have it sprayed on your arms, legs, neck, and walking around smelling like a petrochemical plant? So good to see you swimming at the beach. As I have been watching all of your videos (as time permits), I was wondering if you’d give us a beach view at some point. I would be happy to soak in the sun, but like yourself with handling pets, I tend to avoid the ocean because I know “Jaws” is waiting there for me! Another thumbs up video my friend! 👍👍

Yes they have bug spray there. I actually had my own but it makes me super hot and sweaty. I don't like smelling like chemicals.

Jay Cee, you can sprinkle meat tenderizer from a supermarket and water over a mosquito bit. The meat tenderizer will neutralize what the mosquito injected with that causes the swelling itchy feeling. It works fast within 5 minutes. Hope this help and hope you have safe travels.
