Yeah, stop it, Tom (not).
Take it from someone who's been singing their whole life: Tom is actually a great singer, this song is just out of his register, that's all. Remember his voice is naturally deep so singing something this high would take more effort, pratice and control for him to do it well. Just listen to him singing "Bare Necessities", he sounds amazing (and looks it as well). But I still give him an A+ in this clip, just because he's so bold and awesome :-)

Oh I know about trying to sing out of my vocal range. It’s actually not bad considering! I’m an alto but when I get closer to soprano it isn’t pretty lol, at least with chest voice

I saw a twitter picture today from Eliza Dushku. She was standing next to a group of people waiting for a crosswalk light to turn. These two guys were less than an arm's length away from her and they had no idea. Which on the one hand is cool, because I would hate to think that they can't do all the things that we take for granted without being mobbed by adoring fans.
