I agree. This song is so Hypnotic that you tend to keep listening to it over and over no matter if it’s The Montgolfiers or The Gilmores.singing it. Love it to bits.
Damn, this has to be one of the most haunting songs ever. It left me emotionally twisted after listening to it. I'm so glad Romany and Dave gilmour brought this to to us. The writer of this song deserves a Grammy.

My first daughter of 7 is eating dinner while looking at Halloween songs and dancing to it. My second and last daughter of 14 months is walking since a month so is going round and round for the house doing dangerous things. My wife is next to me on the sofa. I’m wearing headphones and listening to this. Me and my wife are looking at our daughters and we both wish there could be a pause botton to let this moment last forever. But sadly there isn’t. Time is a severe thing. I hope to come back in 10 - 20 years and read this comment again thinking. How fortunate I was at the time. Broke an early promise
Put trust in an unknown
Fell headlong into the arms
Of the first that stood me
Unsteadied a steady heart
That took me to a place I've never been
A place I've never been since
Stopped hoping at an early age
Stopped guessing at an early age
Start accepting things from day one
And then things can’t go too wrong
Just let them walk all over you
Laugh through the punches and the pain
Let the lifeblood drain away from you
They're right you're wrong
And you can see it in the way they look at you
Feel it in the way they treat you
Always the last to know
Always the first to leave
And when sky begins to fall
The blame all along you knew was yours
Wakes you with a fever at five
Your guardian angel gives up the ghost
And you can see it in the way they look at you
Feel it in the way they treat you
Always the last to know
Always the first to leave
Just let them walk all over you
Laugh through the punches and the pain
Let the lifeblood drain away from you
They're right you're wrong
The first that stirred me. *
