Do you laminate the glass/carbon fibre directly with epoxy mixed with foaming additive? Wouldn't that make for a porous laminate?
I've thought about doing this as well, but so far I only use epoxy foam (sicomin) to fit boxes and not for the laminate, but if it works it would be a great low weight solution for the inner laminate. :)

Is it PVC foam which you are using to make the sandwich on the bottom and on the deck? How do you provide the bonding between polystyrene glassfibre and pvc? Is it only the epoxy which responsible for that or do you add special components to the resin?

Yes, yes and yes. Silica can be mix also with epoxy on the sandwich. He said foanie additive but that is silica.
