Folks, look to the left and you’ll see the shadow of the drone camera, which is impossibly flying on its side. The uploader has rotated the video so the Jeep appears to be traveling up rather than to the left. Just rotate your phone and you’ll have an accurate portrayal of the route, but even then due to the angle of the drone, the Jeep looks like it could fall on its side, but it’s actually in a gully on a -level- perhaps 45-degree plane at most.
@@StudleyDuderight Watching other videos of this obstacle, it appears to be about a 45-degree angle at most. There are trucks that drove up it unassisted and even a dirt bike. It’s only 70 feet long and apparently isn’t very difficult to climb at all. Even a Cybertruck climbed it.
The winch isn’t pulling him up though - that’s on for safety, and is being reeled in constantly by a support vehicle. The main reason it looks this way is the camera angle, but it’s still a very steep climb.
@benice604 yes definitely I have a youtube short of me going up it if you haven't seen a normal angle of it. Don't get me wrong she is super steep but not that steep lol
There is some camera angle involved here, but the chute is about 50 degrees at its steepest, meaning it's closer to vertical than it is to flat. If you've ever driven in the mountains, you've probably seen signs alerting to grades in the 7% range. By comparison, the chute is about 110% grade
First of all it’s an rc truck. Look at the front bumper and you will see a small black hook coming out from under the bumper. Light clear fishing line blends in nicely. You can even see the hook articulate as it gets ready to roll over the top of the grade.
@@krakdskulkingpins6853 No. Camera usually makes offroad footage look easier/flatter, I've filmed plenty of it. This angle/lens/edit makes that 45 look almost vertical. Feels steeper in the jeep though from experience.
Tell me you don't know what you're talking about without telling me you don't know what you're talking about. You're saying there's no possible arc leading into an incline that would result in a vertical plane that wouldn't drag the rear bumper? I'm going to go out on a limb and say you've never actually gone offroading. Lol
I mean, it’s definitely not going straight up a sheer cliff, if anyone believed that you must be smoking crack, but still impressive, jeeps are monsters off road.
@@DMiTree Thats cool man and sounds much more interesting than this video. This video is at a place called the chute at sand hollow state park on the opposite side of Utah. This chute is closer to horizontal than it is vertical. No winch required.
I just went up it 3 hours ago its just the angle. Its called the chute in sand hollow utah. Look it up no editing no winch. If you dont believe i just posted a video of it.
@@allthingsharborwhere the sun is at in the sky puts the shadow in different locations so the shadow has absolutely no relevance here. It is however not a correct angle. There’s a guy in one of these comments that posted a real video of this and it’s about 20-30° less steep than this shows.
Camera Guy: How fake do you want it?
Jeep driver: Yes.
It’s not fake
How it's fake if the shadow is down?
Ya that's normal when there's something over it, aka shade... it's real
Just looks wierd because angle
ruclips.net/video/HYAQi6ZMOlw/видео.html it looks like this from another angle
Seems more tilted by the angle of the camera
Nope
Agreed when I first saw this I was like holy shit but then I saw other videos and doesn’t look that bad, a Tacoma even did it
Nope
@krakdskulkingpins6853 yes it is. If you want to see what it actually looks like I have a short video of me going up it.
🥲

whats that ground on the floor
No kidding...
You can see the winch cable right in front of the bumper 🤣

nice catch

Get off the lsd bro. There is winch being used. It's a pretty flat trail in moab that people often film to make it look steep.

It’s actually about a 40 degree climb. Many jeeps do it without the use of a winch. Just not this Jeep. Had to winch up it.

I’ve done the chute twice. This video is misleading. It’s actually well past vertical. It’s upside down.
