      @@gripz9387 also keep a watch on the land in N Carolina, the people are expected to pay taxes on a home that has been washed away…they have no jobs, homes or shelter. A huge land grab in both states ❗️❗️❗️

    I'd love to know how many of these fires are arson caused. California has these tragic fires every year so why isn't Newsum ready for this? People continue to live right on the beach near the ocean too. Those homes are now engulfed. At some point, you move, preferably out of state. This state gets worse and worse every year.

    "how do you stop it?" You DONT. With 100 mph winds, its going to go where it wants. You could have a million firemen there, and it would make 0 difference under these conditions. All you can do is get people out.

      Maybe so but it could been preventable with forest management and protocols in place for such disasters. The issue is, it takes planning, money and willpower to happen but the government/politicians are more interested in enriching themselves and not caring at all.

      when i see "our fire response" i scratch my head and say .... did you all do any planning? Starting with for gods sake DO NOT ISSUE VERY BROAD mandatory evacuation zones.... the roads as we see become over clogged. imagine a family with young children! And worse you then get the worst Governor in history lecture everyone that they MUST go.

    Our governor has completely botched the response to this catastrophe. His inability to lead is costing lives and homes. 2/3 of LA County vote blue no matter who and now the sane 1/3 of the county is dealing with the repercussions.

      @@sstorm1328 Yes, because of the over hangs. I was firefighter in SoCal for 20 years. Raging Santa Ana wind blown embers get under those over hangs and the structure is done. More homes are saved by the people that stay back and put out spot fires and protect those wood exposed over hangs.

    I would feel bad for California and its residents- but there is really no need. They are the fourth largest economy in the world and have some of the BEST Democratic leaders and Democrat could ask for.
    They won't even need any support from the Federal government- they are that good. In fact- let's pass a law making sure they can't get any Federal funds.
