    My mother is a Catholic. I grew up watching how abusive my dad was towards her. But she never asked for divorce even when my dad cheated on her numerous times. Her focus was on us kids and her faith. Years later my dad became sick and mom took care of him until he eventually passed away. Now she is enjoying her old age with her grown up children, traveling and attending religious trips. I admire her for her strength and I don’t know if I can be as forgiving as her if I am put in her situation. But I hope my love and faith for the Lord will be as strong as hers.

      Wish I had a wife like that, not to be abusive to her of course but just to know I would have a God fearing woman that is loyal and knows real love but I could find none in life and decided to become celibate.

      I understand. But it was not just your mom's duty to stay faithful in the marriage but also your dads. She could focus on kids and house being separated from him.
      Also once you have cheated on ur spouse, your marriage is defiled or invalid already.

      @@Sneha-vk7nb Jesus is your spouse my dear. His heart beats in you and runs after His lost sheep thru you. My friend lived in an abusive marriage for years and I myself wish to thrash that man. She used to hate him. One day at a prayer meeting she was in tears and she saw the trinity like 3 entities surround her and move at lightening speed around her in a closed triangle and she was healed. She understood she was theirs and only theirs and she felt so enveloped in this binding to her that thereafter her husband's verbal abuse fell on deaf ears.

    My sister died because she stayed in an abusive marriage, she had broken ribs and had been strangled. Please pray for us Bishop Mar Mari we want justice, we are trusting our Lord Jesus for justice, the South African police force is corrupt, we have given loads of evidence to the police even the videos and voice notes of her crying which are solid proof of the abuse but still, no justice.

    When I met my soul mate and best friend.... she was married to an abusive drunk who wouldn't work and beat her. She was stuck. There was no funny business going on. No cheating. But I warned him, we don't hit girls. I warned him. One night I heard her cry out as he was abusing her. I snapped. I went in.... I handled him. Told her she could sleep on my couch. She was 19, I was 27. Her husband was 25. She immediately filed for divorce. We were married 4 years later. Soul mates in every since of the word. We work together, we read the Bible together, go to church together and play guitars together. We've been together 15 years now and still madly in love. We both thank the lord every day for uniting us.

    If the partner you married is abusive and not willing to stop and change his or her ways and physically harmful towards their spouse,then the other individual should exit the marriage before it gets worse.
    Marriage is great if it's a healthy marriage and two people are both willing to actually love each other,put in the work ,trust God and not hurt each other.

    I found after 15 yrs that my husband never loved me, used me for his own personal gain financially, never stood up for me, chose his family above me, lied constantly and deceived me. While i was on my knees praying and begging for my marriage, he opened the door for other women. Kept on belittling me in front of others and accused me falsely of things i never did and things that never even crossed my mind. I loved him with my soul, gave my everything, lifted him out of the mud, gave him a life he could only dream off, and this is the thanks i received from an ungrateful human being pretending to love me, until the mask fell off. It wasn't till i picked up the Bible and looked in to marriage only then I found out who went wrong where. Regardless of being married the ex was always reserved instead of leaving the parents behind and focussing on our household there was always influence coming from the sidelines. Another problem was she had a issue with submission I never had the chance to lead the family financially etc. If ever I enter another relationship I will always make sure it's biblical will never unequally yoke myself with Godless people.

    The original language Jesus used in Mathew 5:31 was to 'put away' not divorce...I have a 60 + year old bible and it says...'whoever puts away his wife' ....this is why Moses introduced a certificate of divorce so the man couldn't just abandon her because it left her in the vulnerable position of committing adultery if she entered another relationship.
    With the certificate of divorce she was free to remarry.

  • @channel10114
    @channel10114 12 дней назад +4

    Very simple . . . If you are a Born Again Christian of any Christian denomination, the Holy Spirit will testify to you that God hates divorce and therefore you will hate divorce. You do not need to go to any priest for this. However, nowhere does it say that you cannot separate especially if your spouse is abusive. If you do end up getting a divorce, you cannot remarry since that is adultery and that is a damnable sin. You must stay single the rest of your life, if ex spouse is still alive . . . Until death do you part. This is why it is important to work hard on your marriage or even have a separation with the intent of reconciliation if need be.

    God hate divorce but he also hate domestic violence when partner abuse their wife or husband beating them . God wants us to live in peace with one another . God told Moses he allow divorce among the Israelites in the old testament if they are hard to teach refusing to live in peace with their partners.

      @sushilsalins3576 14 дней назад +1

      Give Biblical reference for it. Nowhere the Bible says divorce is okay in case of domestic violence. Bible does allow you to stay and live away from your spouse if they abuse or abandon you but NO DIVORCE is allowed and definitely no remarriage.
      Christ allowed remarriage only in the case of death of a spouse that would free you from the marriage Oath.

    • @Leftcrowproductions
      @Leftcrowproductions 13 дней назад

      @@sushilsalins3576 Yes Moses was permitted to allow divorce in the old testament. Read Mathew 19. Jesus spoke of this because of the hardness of peoples hearts but you cannot remarry, that is considered adultery. Also read Mathew 5:31-32.
      What this person is probably referring to is Deuteronomy 24:1-4 which states if there is some indecency found in his wife a man will write her a certificate of divorce and send her away but if she remarries and tries to come back to original husband she is defiled and is an abomination. I'm pretty sure this goes both ways. Point is Divorce is allowed but you cannot remarry. Domestic violence can fall under the indecency category.

    • @HoneyButter_Biscuit

      @Leftcrowproductions you can remarry but only under certain circumstances. If a women marries a non believer and he divorces her than she can remarry. If she divorces him she can not remarry. Saint Paul tells us to live as celibates (1 Corinthians 7), but those who cannot do it should find a partner who truly fears the Lord and honors Him, if not, be alone. The Psalms tell us many times that is better to be alone than with someone who's gonna make you miserable or sin.

I maried my ex wife in a park by a jp, long story short we were both unfaithful to each other, I tried tochaing things and reconciliate, she was sleeping with one of my coworkers and told me she wanted nothing to do with me she told me she dint care if she saw me again or not, i told her we could seek counseling and try to fix it and she refused but then she told me she wouldn't divorce me. She told me she didn't want me anymore but she wasnt gowing to divorce me and told if i want a divorce to divorce her she wasnt gowing to. But she didn't want me and was sleeping around.
