Lucky Find At The Bottle Dump New Addition To Our Mudlarking Doll Family

- We visit our favourite dump and Kate finds a new member for Dump Babies and our mudlarking doll family. Come and see what she finds. The face I found on film is Fancy`s face (that is what we have chosen to call her) and the little left arm was used on Dewy! Happy New Year :)

We are so sorry this film is a bit late. Time got away from us :) Also, we have to apologise as there are a few things which have been left out of the round-up! Firstly the doll face became our Fancy doll which we have actually chosen to call Fancy so thank you to the people who suggested that name :) Secondly, the doll's arm was used on Dewy another Dump doll. The other things missing were my coin (which is actually in a potato at the moment hopefully being cleaned haha) and Kate's china head which is somewhere else probably with another round-up! We have made so many films in advance things sometimes get mixed up!
No need to apologize for anything, it's never a problem and Kate's super excitement makes up for everything lol there were some nice finds and that dump just keeps giving. Love the beads ,bottles and the figures Thank you

Congratulations finding the tiny charlotte, the little things are always the best.
The little imp head looks familiar but I can't think why. You should make a mould of it so you can make more and paint different faces/eyes on them, have a whole range of little characters

Sometimes you two sound so similar it's hard to tell who is talking. I've started paying attention to who is wearing which mitts.
👍🏻 Really, really love the apothecary bottles🥰. Very unique green, 🤔 almost a grayish 💚 green (olive?) and that amber😊...so golden✨.
It IS considerably amazing Fleur that the bone china box bottom survived...sooo delicate and fragile.
Me thinks you've found a wee pixie head there, ladies...or possibly a "orchard imp's" head☺️🤭😉.

The googly eyed head looks a lot like the art of Richard 'Dicky' Doyle, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's brother, who was an illustrator. He did a lot of work for Punch.

The seed bead could be from a souvenir necklace, African and the Islanders made strings of beads from seeds, my Dad brought back some from Borneo, WW2

Loved the visit to the bottle dump! You manage to find great things each and every time you go! The head at 30:13 looks like a cross between a Kewpie doll and a FUMSUP, a good luck charm popular with soldiers during WWI. The delicate dish at 34:16 looks very much like Belleek, but i was unable to find a piece like it on line. Wishing you happy, healthy and safe New Year!

A nice display for those skinny bottles would be an acrylic lipstick case. I have seen them on Amazon. A tiered one would be exceptionally pretty. The little head reminds me of a Brownie.

If you Google "sad kewpie doll images" you will see many faces much like your little sad head with the pointy hair. The dolls sometimes came in sets with one being happy and the other sad. It doesn't look as if it was ever painted though...which is interesting. It's very clean of any color. I wonder if it could have been a bisque piece that you painted and then would be fired to fix the glaze. That kind of thing was a very popular pastime for ladies seeking an artistic outlet. They would have classes and sometimes bring home plates and vases to paint.

i think the doggie head is crosseyed because he originally had something on his nose..a bee or a bug..may have broken off..love seeing your doll creations and other fun finds.
He does have a tiny butterfly on his nose :)

Another great film!! Always enjoy watching!! A hint for you about seeing details on coins out in the field. If you have water, after you clean off the mud, spray again and then blow the surface. It works well for me when I’m metal detecting. A puff of air seems to bring out details! Thanks again!
