    How much HP do you need to run your processor? Cows look happy. So you will just keep adding straw on top till spring?

    • @Northern_Farmer
      @Northern_Farmer  7 лет назад +2

      150hp is good for it... The mx 120 has 120 hp... but I like using it cause it has no duals and mfwd

    • @Northern_Farmer

      That one cost me 17,000 new... Umm yes you can but its hard... There is a different model for grinding big squares though. I'll look it up

    In temperatures as cold as that how do you stop the diesel from gelling both in the bulk storage tanks and the machines fuel tanks?

    • @Northern_Farmer
      @Northern_Farmer  7 лет назад +2

      I thnk in November the bulk station puts out winter fuel.. which is lighter diesel.

    • @Northern_Farmer
      @Northern_Farmer  7 лет назад +2

      When it gets really really cold like below 40 it will still gel up

    • @muttgusse
      @muttgusse 7 лет назад

      we dont have any problems here and we go down to as cold as 30minus degrees celcius atleast for 2-3 weeks in the winter. the company we buy from does not put any additives in the farm diesel

    I'm I thinking you should be so kind & sell me that little john deere with blower / thrower .hahahaha to small for your farms just right for my 1 & 1/2 acres of city land . I'm getting big around here .lol
    what is the size & number of that little deere ? I own 6 little john deeres , 322, 332, (2)242's / x310/& a 210 of them now the only thing I need is 1 with a blower on it then I wouldn't have to change anything , just jump on & go , have bucket/ loader / blade / mower on different 1's I'm handicapped & can't get on ground well I can but I won't get back up

      @Northern_Farmer  7 лет назад +1

      How come?

    • @anderskarlsson1442
      @anderskarlsson1442 7 лет назад

      +Northern farmer nice that you replied 👍. Here in Sweden we have an animal welfare law. It forbids us to have animals outside all year. We have animals in groups indoors. So-called loose housing barns. excuse my bad English. 😉 🙄

    • @Northern_Farmer
      @Northern_Farmer  7 лет назад

      Beef cattle are usualy more hardy for our cold climates... although if we had a huge enough building to put them in that would be better...

    • @anderskarlsson1442
      @anderskarlsson1442 7 лет назад

      +Northern farmer okay. In our little wetter climate in the south of Sweden, it is of course difficult. In northern Sweden, the climate is more like what you have. I think. You can check out my Instagram. anders_nytorp. There are some pictures of how we have it here. 😉
