We talk about modern technology. I believe they were more advanced than we. Their technology was based on natural and astrological technology. They could use things like sound to move heavy objects. We ignore that which we do not understand or does not fit into our preconceived view of technology.
Another issue is that technological advancement isn't some singular linear line. It's ironically kind of a bit like the technology trees you see in strategy games where certain things are needed as requisites for later things but with more nuance because under specific conditions certain things can be skipped or never really explored. It's pretty likely that ancient cultures and civilizations may have been vastly more advanced in certain facets whilst being less advanced than us in other things. Archaeology tends to view things in very black and white modelling unfortunately.

The honest truth here is that we have no idea of how, why and when these were actually built, nor, who built them. Everything you see and hear is simply conjecture on the part of Archaeologists. The more I see of Gobekli Tepe and all of the animal carvings the more I am reminded of Noah and the Ark.
They pre date the end of the Younger Dryas era ( pre flood).
I think we are too quick to make assumptions. I don't for a minute believe that groups of "Hunter/Gatherers" were responsible for designing and building those monolithic structures! Think about it. Think about all the planing, cooperation, direction, management, etc...

I understand that desert sand is different than other sand it is in its dry form a natural lubricant those large flat boulders could have been spent over the top of the sand water would only create a problem
Constructing megalithic structures with simple tools is impossible, because the tools are not capable of doing to task. Also most megalithic structures, like the pyramids, display clear evidence of advanced tools being used. Tools at least as advanced as what we use today.

To me, there are two important things to consider.
One, I don’t believe anything I hear from scientists or archaeologists as of lately because they are very often wrong or some even lie, who knows why.
Two, these people weren’t on their phones or watching TV or even reading books for that matter. Similar to the guys in prison they have a whole lot of time to come up with new ideas and ways of making and creating things. They also thought in terms of years and decades, not days weeks and months for projects . Just my opinion anyways.
All this is good and wonderful..the question is...,So why did ancient Europeans kill them ??.
Common sense says to me that we have no idea how they were built or who built them. Same is true for some of the other megalithic stone builds.

The "FIRST" Ancient Civilization??? Not likely. May have been the most recent, but many occurred prior also. Various archaeological finds much older than 5000 - 16000 years have been found. Many 50000 to 450000 years old, and some dating a million years or more. Some even have signs of hundreds of million years.

It is not just difficult, it is impossible to make sharp 90 degree corners, mirror smooth surfaces and perfectly interlocking huge blocks with wood and stone tools, and then stacking 10 plus ton blocks at 20, 50 and 100 metres high.
If you get one of those pillars resonating, the other pillars which are close to it will also resonate in sympathy with it.

The pathetic idea that Gobekli Tempe was burried under is B.S. In fact the Megolithic Society is 100,000's of years old, & when found about 12,000 years ago; (this discovering culture filled in these T-Pillar Structures with trash, bones, & dirt. They also built sporadically with used T-Pillars Rain bowls, & blocks.
If these buildings/villages were built under the guidance of higher mind beings maybe they also loaned equipment and plans to help them out. And upon fulfilment gave them back.
