This was so helpful. I’m a mom with two curly haired mixed race children. Their hair is almost identical to your clients. I truly appreciate this tutorial, I’ve got braiding and parting (sectioning) down, next is twists for my son. He’s been begging me to learn. Thanks again!!!
This is so helpful. I'm currently dating a curly haired mixed raced guy who's mom has never done his hair like this who has agreed to let me practice on his hair until we get it right. Never done anything with my hair let alone anyone else. So thank you.
Thank you for this and your guide and showing what products you use. My husband has extremely curly hair very similar to this guy's, and he wants to keep it long but isn't the best at caring for it, so twists and braids help.
Amazing job!!! I am so glad I found this! My son wants new a new hairstyle & I am not a good braider! This is gonna look so nice! He has same texture as this young man!

I’m just starting to learn how to do my husband’s hair in double twists. I started with smaller ones but he is interested in this size! I’m going to try it out today wish me luck!!
Thank you! Your tutorial was very helpful! 🤗 I tried it in my son, his hair is very similar to your client’s, came out really good. The only challenge I had was keeping the twists tight. Do you have any suggestions I can try ?
My sons hair is just like this and we are going to do this style on Sunday. I have to go to the hair store to get some product. I’m curious if u may have any suggestion for the type of styling gel and foam setting products I should try?
Thank you for the video, it was very helpful, I am just about to start doing braids and not sure about most hair products to use on people's hair when doing twisting or braids to keep it locked in mostly when they are not using extensions
Omg you are a Godsend! My fiancé is biracial and I've been braiding his hair because he wanted to grow it out. But I notice that it gets all frizzy like after the second day. I think this style would look nice on him. What products were you using for his hair? Because I'm not use to his texture.
Absolutely fantastic video... Aaaand.. I watched plenty! They really can't compare! Any help with the mention of the products though... Pretty pleeeeaaaase. ❤
Hello, I have a question, when I try to do it, I apply a special gel for making braids, I twist them, but when I tie them with a hair tie at the end, everything breaks and unwinds, what should I do or what should I use?
May i ask u i have i think 3c hair when i try to do two strand twists at the salon they always say i cant do it because of my hair type and the twists keep opening could u help me please
How long do these usually take? im looking to get my hair done like this and i was wondering, and do you know if they hurt pretty bad like braids sometimes? 🙏
Question for somebody that is watching for the first time. And stepping into a ne2 world of hair, I notice his hair is different, from your professional opinion. Is his hair healthy to its full potential? If not what advice can you give to bring out the beauty of his hair,,,,,?
Hi thank you so much first of all for this video I along with a lot of other people I see in the comments have a child that is mixed and has really curly hair and it’s not very easy to find someone to do his hair especially as often as it needs to get done. I am interested in the products that you used?
thank you for this tutorial. they honestly look amazing. just two questions. i have similar hair and have been looking to get this done. are you able to do them yourself or does it require someone else. also, what product do you use in the twisting process.
Hi I got these done yesterday but some are already becoming undone at the ends. Any tips on maintaining the twists and letting them last as long as possible. I have the same hair type as this guy in the video !
I’m so glad I came across your video! My son is mixed and his hair is 3c . I used the shine n jam gel as I braid his hair so used it to do twists. It was my first time doing them and I don’t think I’m twisting tight enough ? Some turn out nice and some look like they’re looser. It looks like you twist both pieces all the way down . Is that correct ? Please help. I appreciate it.
God bless u for this video ! my brother has this mixed hair texture and i’m attempting to do these on him :) 1 question! do u begin the twist in the middle of the box or do u begin to twist down wards? hope that make sense, much love girl!
Thanks for this. Are you using rubber bands? Also what did you do at the end and what was that you put in it? You don’t use anything to hold it in place? I’m looking forward to doing this on my sons hair
Any idea how you can do these on similar hair texture without rubberbands? I just don’t like the look and the stiffness that the rubberbands add to hairstyles I do on my son.
Thank you so much. I just started braiding my sons hair again. How do you trim their ends. He needs it but I don’t know how to the correct way before braiding his hair..

what did you put on the comb that made the hair shiny ?
Shine n jam
That's so cool and easy to learn thank you, what did you use on the hair to twist it. Some kind of gel or something!
Yes shine n jam
Any recommendation in nyc
Isnt this a little more of a rope twist since you are coiling it before twisting it? just wondering
could you please do a tutorial on how to do these on straight hair xx
Hi I don't get the request for these often but I get a chance I will. 😊
u can still do it on straight hair by watching the vid
Mas o menos cuantos centimetros de largo del cabello para poder hacerce una ? Trngo el cabello corto me llega hasta la ceja
I’d say about 3-4 inches is good for the best result.
Do u have to put mouse on it and a duraq and blow dry it after ur finished?
You don’t have to but I prefer to. I don’t always use a durag but I don’t mousse and blow dry most times

Definitely helped. My brothers hair is like this and i can never get it to look smooth.
AWESOME!!

thank you for this tutorial. they honestly look amazing. just two questions. i have similar hair and have been looking to get this done. are you able to do them yourself or does it require someone else. also, what product do you use in the twisting process.
This style can certainly be done by yourself. But the parting is usually the struggle. I just used shine n jam for these.
What products used ?
Having a hard time finding a good braiding gel. What do you recommend?
I like either shine n jam or neat braid depending on the texture
Hi I got these done yesterday but some are already becoming undone at the ends. Any tips on maintaining the twists and letting them last as long as possible. I have the same hair type as this guy in the video !
Mini rubber bands
I'm bald now but man do I wish I still had hair... These joints are so 🔥....
Aww, thank you!
How do you make it so tight ? Everytime I try to do I it it comes out loose at the top
Hi Janeese, I just take my time prepping the base. Splitting it in two and then twisting each side separately before twisting them together.
This was super helpful. Can you share what the foamy product used at the end is?
Thank you it’s mousse 🙂
Can you start locs from these being that the part is big?
Also, is the hair completely dry with no added products or water before and during twisting?
I don't recommend starting locs with twists like these bc your dreads will be thin
How can u maintain them to last longer?
I'm mad late to this video but is it better to wash your hair before getting twists or nah
Yes washing it is perfectly fine beforehand
How do you keep it tight like that I tried for the first time and it just went up in curly again. It didn’t stay tight.
One thing to keep in mind is to twist the hair while you’re twisting…
Wats the name of the white foam product u sprayed at the end on his hair
It’s mousse. I like the magicfinger studio brand
hi what do you put on at the root as in lotion or gel etc x
Shine n jam gel

Hi, yes ma’am. I twist while twisting if that makes sense. It helps the twist to hold better.
How long would this take?
Thank you for this videos 🔥🔥
You are so welcome. My pleasure!
Do you use gel or jam on his hair?
Jam 😊
When you twist two different parts does it last longer.
I believe so!
Could I still do it if my hair is a little less curly than that
I would think so
I got question , can you do double strand with straight hair ?im Mexican
How do you do the rubber band part?

I’m gonna try these on my son who is mixed , but what is that stuff you are putting on the hair ? Is it hair gel? What do you use at the end ?

Shine n Jam

Any idea how you can do these on similar hair texture without rubberbands? I just don’t like the look and the stiffness that the rubberbands add to hairstyles I do on my son.
I'm not sure love because I think they would unravel.
Thank you so much. I just started braiding my sons hair again. How do you trim their ends. He needs it but I don’t know how to the correct way before braiding his hair..
Even though I have a cosmetology license, I don't trim hair. My suggestion is to find a professional in your area.

Shine n jam
Did u use any type of curling gel or curling cream ?
no just shine n jam
