My opinnion about the voice of this scene... 0:02 Half life the HECU voice IN THIS scene sounds... calm and without emotional (Because of fatigue maybe?) but in the rest of the game they sound really threatening. 1:09 Black mesa. those voices sound sinister, as in the scene from "Apprehension" when they captured Freeman and said "Body, Whats body?" 1:45 In black mesa 2021 the HECU sound more realistic with or without mask, although the man on the right sounds a bit lazily.
Both Mod versions are by far the worst. It just sounds sinister, not really human. Half life is better. Still not perfect, but I can't hate on it. 1998 was a different time. Black Mesa makes the smart choice of changing the one line from "killing my buddies" to "killing marines". Overall, the scene is meant to characterize the HECU, but black mesa managed to balance that with the slight bit of fear from the guy as he says "shit" but also the way that it's all about Marines dying and blood needing to be payed back with more blood.

In hl1 they sound like ,,bros with guns" ,but in Black Mesa they're really calm.And in hl1 Marines sounds more threatening

Terrible voice acting on Black Mesa Source. Makes you feel like you're playing some Marvel game and not Half Life.
